I always build a small defensive army, then prio-production, peasants and farms and then roll into upgrades and troops and avalanche in RTSes. That said, this seems like a pretty hard RTS. Classic 😅
A strong economy, peasants, are key. Knights are a good choice once you can get them, they, plus clerics, and conjurers later, are the best combination; catapults are good too, but tough to master.
Looks fun but stressful at the same time. Keep it going, you will start understanding the game more you play, and muscle memory will play a big part as you keep playing.
Theres a nice little cheese spot right next to their base. A little clearing of forest where you can stick a bunch of archers in there. Then you take a knight and bait the enemy to walk by the trees and the archers will shoot them over the trees. I just failed the level and Im going to bed but its a crazy strat for sure
When placing buildings close to eachother you are often limiting the npc movement. the troop/townhall buildings should have like a road around them so the peons can freely move in and out. Researching cleric farsight might let you find other resources on the map without sending troops out to look. Otherwise awesome to see this RTS once again.
Control the bridges, your victory will be ensured. Defend bridges with archers and later siege. Build higher tier units. Build knights and not footmen. The further the gold mine, build more peasants to increase rate of gold. 27:17 You are throwing weaker units against them. Your army will be wiped out. 27:30 Too much lumber and not enough gold. Try to balance. Need more peasants on gold. 27:52 Yes do it! 32:03 Don't apologize, each mission is a puzzle that you must find a way to overcome. That is the fun of it.
I cannot beat this I've been trying for like two days now. I keep just getting rushed by the orcs and when I finally push, there's like 10 riders in their hideout.
The ideal number of peasants is as many as you can make. The more you have the more gold and wood you generate and you can just crank out troops after that. Play defense first. Hide those archers behind your foot men.
New day, new video, new comment for the algorithm.

The economy is the most important thing in the beginning. Generate as many peasants as you can and have them gathering gold continuously on mass.

Build a Lumber Mill early.

There was a narrow gap in the trees when you turned NW where you could have possibly bottled them up and killed them piecemeal.
Save Gold, to build a closer town hall to that expanded gold mine(s) and build extra barracks.

Build more peasants !!😂

Yeah, you pushed too soon and didn't use the choke point...
Way over thinking it. This is level like 4. Just pump your mobs and dump them. Complexity will come later man.
