I love it!That's how it all started: In 2017 Dimash received a wildcard for the “The Singer” competition in China. He was the youngest participant ever (22 ys). Foreign participants were actually forbidden at that time. The director ignored the ban, believing Dimash would only stay 1 or 2 episodes and then go home. The competition is not a talent show. Only professional, award-winning singers participate. Nobody knew or heard Dimash before and he had to start first ... and after his first song "SOS" Dimash captured the hearts of over 600 million viewers and a mega-star was born overnight. The next day, bodyguards stood in front of his door. The competition consisted of 14 rounds over 4 months. The jury consisted of 500 spectators who knew music, not just your average "Joe". You are right - Dimash is a prodigy with a perfect pitch and about 7-octave range, a composer and a multiinstrumentalist, who has been trained since he was 5 and is highly musically educated with degrees in classical and contemporary singing, a Master's in composition (now he is a PhD student). He sings as a baritone, tenor, and all the female registers, including coloratura soprano. He sings in various genres (opera, classical crossover, pop, folk, rock, a little bit of rap). Dimash has a great YT channel ("Dimash Qudaibergen") with live performances, MVs, OSTs and whole concerts. Apart from the range what makes Dimash amazing are the perfected vocal control, the various timbres and colors he can produce in each register, the dedication to making art, not just a career, the emotional delivery, the stage presence, giving everything of himself in his performances, his humble, down-to-earth personality, the love for his fans and his country and his social engagement.

Oh, how I love to watch true first-time reviews of Dimash. Speechlessness is quite common, he's that rare - & wonderful. No doubt you will InJoy your Dimash journey. His tech skills are great, his music education intense - working on his Ph.D. - he has perfect pitch, a 7-octave range (unheard of), etc. - but it's more than that. This man sings with his whole soul & body, fully embodying every song. Tears & chills are the norm for his listeners & he always surprises us - never anything the same. You'll hear much of his range in Stranger. He actually has a respectable bass, not just baritone. He goes beyond the piano's range in Unforgettable Day (a song he wrote) in the Gakku performance. He is born in May 24 1994. He is from Kazakhstan and has been music schooled sense 5 years old and told the teacher that the piano was out of tune! He sings about 7 octaves or so! No one knows he is still learning. He sings higher than the piano can go! He also writs and compose own songs, plays bunch of instruments including Dombra there own Kazakh instrument that has a sound you can’t believe and onley 2 strings! He also sings in about 13 languages and speaks 3 so far (Kazakh,Russian and English). Dimash has an excellent education: he graduated from the College of Music with a degree in Opera Singing, university of arts in the specialty "Estrada and jazz vocals", and on June 18, 2020, he completed a master's degree in Composition. He graduated with a degree in opera from the music school at the University of Aktobe (2014), a degree in pop/jazz from the National Arts University in Nur Sultan (2018), just completed his Master's degree in composition (June 2020) and have started his PhD. He have done some contests in his life but the one I think got the worlds intension is "The Singer" (Allso called "I am a singer" or "Singer") from China in 2017. The Singer is a program for established Chinese singers to face off against each other invites only in a competition where votes were cast by an audience of 500. Dimash Qudaibergen was a last-minute inclusion (a 'dark horse'). But his performance of 'SOS D'un Terrien En Detresse' electrified the audience, his fellow competitors and the viewers who numbered in the billions (this program was one of the most-watched in China and outside). In truth, Dimash was totally unknown to the crowd but they were excited because his performance was the first song on the first show of the season. The day after this performance, Dimash woke up with 600 millions new fans in China. He has been a big celebrity in China ever since.

That show "I'm Singer" was the most popular one in China watched by the whole population ( it was not a talent show to discover new talents but for accomplished singers with big achievements & years of fame who have huge fanbase - Dimash was the youngest one, the black horse, but extraordinary talent) It catapulted him to the fame overnight, and they invited him everywhere, he was on stage, on tv shows, in advertisements, held concerts, sang osts for CN movies & tv series , took part in various projects, etc., thanks to his enormous talent (& also his charming character) but it is showbiz so they invited him cuz he brought them huge numbers of views ...it is a self generating circle...In USA he participated a show The World's Best on CBS Tv channel in 2019, but it was not what its name sugessted...it was only a variety show, where different type of artists competed with each other not just singers...and Dimash had the highest score, he was supposed to win the 1st place, 1 million $, and you know - after this he would have been invited to talk shows, etc ( the host and one of the producer was James Corden ) , so he could break through in the USA market too...BUT! The contestants did not know each other, they only met each other right before the battles in the backstage...and it happened, Dimash should had to compete a 11 yo little girl who was his countryman, Danelia. (Also there were anither wonder kid, a piano virtuoso 12yo Indian guy ) Dimash decided to quit, cuz he did not want to take away the opportunity from the children. ( In Kazakh culture they have strong traditions and they treat children as treasure, cherish them cuz they are the future...also Dimash himself loves children very much, supports them in so many ways, also with charities, and he even founded an international children singing competition in Kazakhstan named Happy Child /Baqytty Bala/ , he even gave the big part of the income of his London concert in 2018 to support Danelia's participation in the children Eurovision....And one of the jury got upset why he quit and used rude words...After this the show deleted his videos from their sites ( on soc medias too) and later they even deleted their webpage. Dimash did not know there will be children to compete with ( he even asked it before signing, but either they lied to him or simply did not tell him...anyway...) So he decided not to participate in any contest in the future...( he took part in so many competitions ( first at age 5 a countrywide piano contest, and later international vocal contests) before since his childhood..and he won Asia Music Awards - equal to Grammy- and a lot of others in China...he doesn't need competitions anymore..but these were great promotion for him. He want to be independent, he want to keep his artistic & creative freedom, and did not sign with a big label though he got many offers...sigh...without pro marketing & promotion it is hard to become recognized, you know....he was big not just in China but in Russia and post soviet countries too, but the pandemic & now the war had/has a huge effect on his career... Yes, he has fanclubs in almost 200 countries...but I wish he would recognized, really known as a household name all over the world as he deserves it! SOS has been a favorite song for me for over 30yrs. Have heard many different singers try to perform this most difficult song; 5 years ago i heard DIMASH do it and was floored by what I was hearing. Have been listening to him daily since then, he continues to get better and better. there are about 170+ songs and videos and music videos he has done. Each one is a masterpiece and each one is different. DIMASH moves through genres in fluid motion, like it is just a normal thing, and you see almost no stress to achieve the notes he is able to produce. His music is often used in therapy sessions to soothe and help people, most of his fans find solace in his voice and vocals and have had life altering situations they attribute to him. Fans are the most dedicated you will ever find for any talent, and he loves his fans and they him.

I’ve seen him in Latvia and just recently in Dubai, I’ve never flown to another country to see an artist before, and I am 77. The concerts are three hours of magic, aren’t they? I’m from U.K., I’ve seen bits of fancam from Düsseldorf and the Prague concerts. Can’t wait until they put the full concerts on you tube.

Oh seeing him live is an experience like nothing else! Prague last month was my first live Dimash concert. Traveled quite far to see him, I am not that young any more and he is the only artist I chose to travel very long distance. I am still not back on earth. I've been to many concerts in my life, but this one I don't feel like I've been to a concert at all, it feels more like a spiritual experience. His presence, energy, can't describe it. He does have this special aura around him. He gives all in in a concert, doesn't hold back and often performs songs differently at each concert. Experiencing him live really is surreal... 🥰

Nobody knew Dimash in China, the organizers of that competition took him as a wild card, inviting him for the first time as a foreign singer, since until that year it was only for professional and recognized singers in China. It was thought that it would only last a couple of episodes and would be eliminated. This song was in the episode No.1 and Dimash was the singer that opened the day. People in China have a lot of culture and Dimah was received that night with applause because he had to be the one who inaugurated the contest that year and because he was a foreigner he was given his respect. The day after that presentation, Dimash had become a superstar, having 600 million followers in one night. He didn't win the competition because there was a rule in his contract that as a foreigner he couldn't win the contest, although all of China and the other competitors said that Dimash's talent was on another level. The following year that rule was changed because it was so absurd. But Dimash managed to get the world to know him, "Sometimes losing is also won." He was the youngest contestant (22 years old) that until that moment had participated in that contest. You are only seeing the tip of the Iceberg, prepare yourself for the most wonderful musical journey that a singer in our lives can take you on. Dimash is the best of the best. @@JesseReacts The organizers in one or two episodes suggested the songs and it was up to Dimash to get them out with dignity, but they realized that the Kazakh's talent was at another level. The greatness of Dimash in that competition is that not speaking Mandarin and he at that time only speaking Kazakh and Russian, he sang songs in French, Italian, Russian, Kazakh, English and Mandarin and with everything and that it can be said that he went through above all and the Chinese audience fell in love with him.
I haven't heard about such a rule in his contract. Some people say there was such a rule in the contest, which was changed next year, when Jessie J won. Personally, I doubt that it's possible to want to attract great foreign singers like Dimash and tell them they can't win. I doubt that Dimash could agree to that, especially after seeing him leaving the US World's Best contest, where he was misled that he would not compete against children. I'd rather thought that there may be an unwritten bias in favor of the Chinese contestants.But then I watched the whole show, which features established singers by invitation only, some of them stars with long careers and big fan bases like the winner Sandy Lam. The overall level of the show was so high, that I could see what pressure was Dimash under to perform well. He had to fight hard and the second place was a great achievement. He was right - no matter that he did not won, the huge Chinese TV audience liked him, he stayed in China for 3 years(until COVID), made a great career there and this was the breakthrough of his international career.
Welcome to Dimash land, a diamond in the rough. He can sing anything you put down, he has 7.7 octaves, can go as high as D8. Sings in many languages, plays around 7 instruments, has trained since he was 5 years old. Is highly educated, has two degrees and working on his Doctorate. His registers irrespective of which one, are all strong and clear. Believe it or not he didn't win this show, he came in as a wild card and they thought he would be out round two. After this performance they had 600million views, so it would have been stupid to remove him. So he got 2nd place, due to politics. He should have got 1st. But the this song and performance won him more than just a prize it broke him out into a world audience. He is very well mannered humble person, there are world coaches and professional singers all in amazement at his abilities. But he trained hard and still does to this day - 3 hrs a day. wow! Thank you for your complete reaction, seeing Dimash's process when he arrived in China, I was so nervous! After that, he won over the public and there are several epic presentations that he made in this same Show: *ADAGIO* *SHOW MUST GO ON* *HELLO* *AUTUMN STRONG* After that, he went to Russia as a special jury of a New Wave Show where, together with a great composer IGOR KRUTOY, he made epic presentations in that country. Which later you can see. After that, he started giving his concerts all over Eastern Europe, the last 3 last month, where "Dears", fans from all over the world came to see him. Keep up with him, he is the great singer of our era.

Thank you for your reaction. Dimash has all kinds of songs. Not all his songs are about range. Also, this specific song was written for a singer with a wide range because its meaning is in contrasts between highs and lows, both physical and emotional. And of course, it's a contest so he must demonstrate his vocal abilities, but it doesn't diminish the fact that it is an amazing emotional interpretation of the song that only he can do. As to other songs, each one is different and not all songs require such range. He has amazing, beautiful and soulful songs of all kinds and genres, you shouldn't always expect wide range from him, and the fans who request to react to only wide range songs from him are doing him a great injustice in my opinion. The main thing about him that his voice is beautiful and his technique is amazing in any register, and that he is a great storyteller who creates a roller coaster of emotions in his listeners.
I will focus on all different stuff in future vids for sure. I really can appreciate some nice theatrics and being able to drag people in with multiple facets. Dimash is a cross-genre artist. He can sing like this (and even better) in every different genre - ballads, classical, pop-opera, jazz, R&B, pop, rock, traditional kazakh music etc etc. He no longer needs talent shows and after doing one in the US (where he was disrespected) he says he won't do any more. He composes and arranges, has songs written for him and he sings covers of songs. He has been involved in film and acting, has done modelling, been on many TV shows and sung theme tunes for video games and movies. He's had sell out concerts in many countries around the world. Due to the pandemic a proposed tour was cancelled so he and his creative team created a full digital concert, released online in 2021. The performances, stage sets, digital effects and dancing on this are stunning. Please react to more Dimash, you won't regret it. This young man can do ANY Genre with effortless perfection! I would suggest the following as a good follow up to this. He just entrances! I am a TOTAL "DEAR"! For his range and playful side, try "Opera 2", "Confessa/Diva Dance" (This is the song the blue alien sang in the movie "The 5th Element") It was recorded in studio in different parts to make it IMPOSSIBLE for a human to sing- for the movie...Until Dimash! He shows off his acting chops in the Official MV of "Be with me" & "Golden" (Think Jackie Chan meets 007). Then for an ANGELIC performance, "Ave Maria". To see his MJ like dance skills with a twist- "Stranger". There are so many! I would start here. You will garner MANY supporters and could literally do nothing but Dimash reactions and your channel will skyrocket! At this point he is 22, 5 octaves now at 28 n this year 2022, he has a range of 7 octaves. He is highly qualified musician in most genres. Declined an offer to join his own countries opera house because he wanted to be able to explore and push boundaries. His life IS music, plays at least 7 instruments. Sings in 15 languages and speaks 5. Composes music, writes lyrics - war n peace is an example of his composition, which I think he wrote in his teens. This changes as he continues to explore. Because it was obvious to his parents that he had a propensity for music he was taken to Kazakhstan's music school where at age of 3yrs he was declared pitch perfect. His parents are singers anregarced as a prestigious couple.But more than anything, he is a compassionate, kind, generous caring young man, who knows life can spin on a sixpence, and life changes. He values his "Dears" - his fans, and knows without them he is nothing. Here it was his 1st time away from home, no Chinese or English, they did provide a translator. This is a competition between well, established artists. Dimash was invited to take part after one of the organisers heard him singing. He was at this time the only foreigner to ever be involved in this Chinese programme. He came 2nd. I'm sure the fact that he was not a national of China that st tgst time at least, a Chinese programme wud not be able to allow a non national to win. Though I think they might now. The winner was a lady and had a beautiful voice too. The world started to know of Dimash because the audience appreciated his talent and spread the word world wide. They were the judges of the competition, all involved in music one way or another. You are in for the most fantastic journey thru his development. Pple hve waited for him to sing the opening songs for films come out of retirement to write and compose for him. He is so humble about his gifts. U will hear him sing all genres including rap. Dimash had all kinds of music training. He started music training at the age of 5; enrolled in music school plus his regular classes. He trained in classical, jazz, pop, etc. He fully trained in Opera and was offered a position at the opera house in Kazakhstan where his career would be set. Dimash chose to go off on his own. He wanted to experiment and create new music, without the aid of autotune and all the things they use these days. Singer set his career moving forward and before it finished, he had fans and fan clubs all over the world. Now, at soon to be 28 he is famous and in-demand everywhere. His concerts are incredible. I love it!That's how it all started: In 2017 Dimash received a wildcard for the “The Singer” competition in China. He was the youngest participant ever (22 ys). Foreign participants were actually forbidden at that time. The director ignored the ban, believing Dimash would only stay 1 or 2 episodes and then go home.
The competition is not a talent show. Only professional, award-winning singers participate. Nobody knew or heard Dimash before and he had to start first ... and after his first song "SOS" Dimash captured the hearts of over 600 million viewers and a mega-star was born overnight. The next day, bodyguards stood in front of his door.
The competition consisted of 14 rounds over 4 months. The jury consisted of 500 spectators who knew music, not just your average "Joe". They were well screened to be sure they would be able to judge the musicians fairly and competently. With up to 1 billion people watching this TV program and international interest was aroused. The performances were uploaded to UA-cam ... and so we became Dimash's Dears.
The Chinese organizers planned... but Dimash came, sang and stayed ... for the next 3 years in China ... but he only finished second in the competition because he is not Chinese (conditions have changed: 2018, Jessie J. won).

You are right - Dimash is a prodigy with a perfect pitch and about 7-octave range, a composer and a multiinstrumentalist, who has been trained since he was 5 and is highly musically educated with degrees in classical and contemporary singing, a Master's in composition (now he is a PhD student). He sings as a baritone, tenor, and all the female registers, including coloratura soprano. He sings in various genres (opera, classical crossover, pop, folk, rock, a little bit of rap). Dimash has a great YT channel ("Dimash Qudaibergen") with live performances, MVs, OSTs and whole concerts.
Apart from the range what makes Dimash amazing are the perfected vocal control, the various timbres and colors he can produce in each register, the dedication to making art, not just a career, the emotional delivery, the stage presence, giving everything of himself in his performances, his humble, down-to-earth personality, the love for his fans and his country and his social engagement.
You have just witnessed the most talented vocalist known to mankind in my opinion. Dimash is proudly from Kazakhstan! Oh, how I love to watch true first-time reviews of Dimash. Speechlessness is quite common, he's that rare - & wonderful. No doubt you will InJoy your Dimash journey. His tech skills are great, his music education intense - working on his Ph.D. - he has perfect pitch, a 7-octave range (unheard of), etc. - but it's more than that.
This man sings with his whole soul & body, fully embodying every song. Tears & chills are the norm for his listeners & he always surprises us - never anything the same. You'll hear much of his range in Stranger. He actually has a respectable bass, not just baritone. He goes beyond the piano's range in Unforgettable Day (a song he wrote) in the Gakku performance.

It's so fun for us "Dears" (that’s what Dimash calls his fans because he loves us as a dear family) to see how people react to him.
Some info about Dimash. He is born in May 24 1994. He is from Kazakhstan and has been music schooled sense 5 years old and told the teacher that the piano was out of tune! He sings about 7 octaves or so! No one knows he is still learning. He sings higher than the piano can go! He also writs and compose own songs, plays bunch of instruments including Dombra there own Kazakh instrument that has a sound you can’t believe and onley 2 strings! He also sings in about 13 languages and speaks 3 so far (Kazakh,Russian and English).
Dimash has an excellent education: he graduated from the College of Music with a degree in Opera Singing, university of arts in the specialty "Estrada and jazz vocals", and on June 18, 2020, he completed a master's degree in Composition. He graduated with a degree in opera from the music school at the University of Aktobe (2014), a degree in pop/jazz from the National Arts University in Nur Sultan (2018), just completed his Master's degree in composition (June 2020) and have started his PhD.
He have done some contests in his life but the one I think got the worlds intension is "The Singer" (Allso called "I am a singer" or "Singer") from China in 2017. The Singer is a program for established Chinese singers to face off against each other invites only in a competition where votes were cast by an audience of 500.
Dimash Qudaibergen was a last-minute inclusion (a 'dark horse'). But his performance of 'SOS D'un Terrien En Detresse' electrified the audience, his fellow competitors and the viewers who numbered in the billions (this program was one of the most-watched in China and outside).
They also got him the nickname "Imported little brother" the day after the show. They also had to get bodyguard for Dimash do to the famous over night both in China and also the world. Dimash wasn’t really prepared for that. He had come to China at 22 years young man by him self and didn’t know the language. They hade contracted him for 2 shows because they didn’t think he cold go further than that. He didn’t think they would like him. So he was nervous this performers that he had also to start the show with. But they hade to change that do to his famous over night.
Dimash got many new friends from this show and he said at some point he learned a lot from it to.

The best moment in this show was just after Dimash started thanking everyone and saw his father there. He didn’t know he was there. Just after they got out of that room Dimash turns to his father and asks if he did good! Gloria Wu's channel has the back-story about the song that is so sad and from a life story about a boy losing his parents in an awful way. Also you get to hear how Dimash sounds like then loosing his voice the day of the show!!! When he went on he didn’t know if he could sing. Looking close at the other contestants they where so worried about him. He lost his voice again after. Li Jian another contestant bought him a very very expensive Chinese medication for him so he could get better soon!

Episode 10 : 'Unforgettable Day' In Kazakh and I think some translation in Chinese to. If I remember correct he wrote the music to this one when he was 19 years old and lyrics by Oral-kosai Baisengir, who was a poet/lyricist father of a friend of Dimash. Also in this show another contestant "Terry Lin" that was about 51 years young here he considered Dimash a dear friend at this point. But Dimash started telling them al he was his father around episode 9 I think!! That is a big respect and love from his part of the world to call him! Terry was gladly accepting it. They are still that close and also invites each other to there concerts and sometimes singing this song in duet to. They sang it in Jackie Chang movie festival in 2019 and Jackie was choked in how good they were. Terry was known as an alien before Dimash and they have similar vocals to.

He didn’t win the competion they say its because he wasn’t Chinese. But I don’t know if that’s right or not! They change the rules next year. But he got the most out of it and was most known after this. Got lots of awards and other things to. So he won the audience and the Chinese people.

In truth, Dimash was totally unknown to the crowd but they were excited because his performance was the first song on the first show of the season. The day after this performance, Dimash woke up with 600 millions new fans in China. He has been a big celebrity in China ever since.

That show "I'm Singer" was the most popular one in China watched by the whole population ( it was not a talent show to discover new talents but for accomplished singers with big achievements & years of fame who have huge fanbase - Dimash was the youngest one, the black horse, but extraordinary talent) It catapulted him to the fame overnight, and they invited him everywhere, he was on stage, on tv shows, in advertisements, held concerts, sang osts for CN movies & tv series , took part in various projects, etc., thanks to his enormous talent (& also his charming character) but it is showbiz so they invited him cuz he brought them huge numbers of views ...it is a self generating circle...In USA he participated a show The World's Best on CBS Tv channel in 2019, but it was not what its name sugessted...it was only a variety show, where different type of artists competed with each other not just singers...and Dimash had the highest score, he was supposed to win the 1st place, 1 million $, and you know - after this he would have been invited to talk shows, etc ( the host and one of the producer was James Corden ) , so he could break through in the USA market too...BUT! The contestants did not know each other, they only met each other right before the battles in the backstage...and it happened, Dimash should had to compete a 11 yo little girl who was his countryman, Danelia. (Also there were anither wonder kid, a piano virtuoso 12yo Indian guy ) Dimash decided to quit, cuz he did not want to take away the opportunity from the children. ( In Kazakh culture they have strong traditions and they treat children as treasure, cherish them cuz they are the future...also Dimash himself loves children very much, supports them in so many ways, also with charities, and he even founded an international children singing competition in Kazakhstan named Happy Child /Baqytty Bala/ , he even gave the big part of the income of his London concert in 2018 to support Danelia's participation in the children Eurovision....And one of the jury got upset why he quit and used rude words...After this the show deleted his videos from their sites ( on soc medias too) and later they even deleted their webpage. Dimash did not know there will be children to compete with ( he even asked it before signing, but either they lied to him or simply did not tell him...anyway...) So he decided not to participate in any contest in the future...( he took part in so many competitions ( first at age 5 a countrywide piano contest, and later international vocal contests) before since his childhood..and he won Asia Music Awards - equal to Grammy- and a lot of others in China...he doesn't need competitions anymore..but these were great promotion for him. He want to be independent, he want to keep his artistic & creative freedom, and did not sign with a big label though he got many offers...sigh...without pro marketing & promotion it is hard to become recognized, you know....he was big not just in China but in Russia and post soviet countries too, but the pandemic & now the war had/has a huge effect on his career...

SOS has been a favorite song for me for over 30yrs. Have heard many different singers try to perform this most difficult song; 5 years ago i heard DIMASH do it and was floored by what I was hearing. Have been listening to him daily since then, he continues to get better and better. there are about 170+ songs and videos and music videos he has done. Each one is a masterpiece and each one is different. DIMASH moves through genres in fluid motion, like it is just a normal thing, and you see almost no stress to achieve the notes he is able to produce. His music is often used in therapy sessions to soothe and help people, most of his fans find solace in his voice and vocals and have had life altering situations they attribute to him. Fans are the most dedicated you will ever find for any talent, and he loves his fans and they him.

I’ve seen him in Latvia and just recently in Dubai, I’ve never flown to another country to see an artist before, and I am 77. The concerts are three hours of magic, aren’t they? I’m from U.K., I’ve seen bits of fancam from Düsseldorf and the Prague concerts. Can’t wait until they put the full concerts on you tube.

Oh seeing him live is an experience like nothing else! Prague last month was my first live Dimash concert. Traveled quite far to see him, I am not that young any more and he is the only artist I chose to travel very long distance. I am still not back on earth. I've been to many concerts in my life, but this one I don't feel like I've been to a concert at all, it feels more like a spiritual experience. His presence, energy, can't describe it. He does have this special aura around him. He gives all in in a concert, doesn't hold back and often performs songs differently at each concert. Experiencing him live really is surreal... 🥰

Excellent reaction. Nobody knew Dimash in China, the organizers of that competition took him as a wild card, inviting him for the first time as a foreign singer, since until that year it was only for professional and recognized singers in China. It was thought that it would only last a couple of episodes and would be eliminated. This song was in the episode No.1 and Dimash was the singer that opened the day. People in China have a lot of culture and Dimah was received that night with applause because he had to be the one who inaugurated the contest that year and because he was a foreigner he was given his respect. The day after that presentation, Dimash had become a superstar, having 600 million followers in one night. He didn't win the competition because there was a rule in his contract that as a foreigner he couldn't win the contest, although all of China and the other competitors said that Dimash's talent was on another level. The following year that rule was changed because it was so absurd. But Dimash managed to get the world to know him, "Sometimes losing is also won." He was the youngest contestant (22 years old) that until that moment had participated in that contest. @@JesseReacts The organizers in one or two episodes suggested the songs and it was up to Dimash to get them out with dignity, but they realized that the Kazakh's talent was at another level. The greatness of Dimash in that competition is that not speaking Mandarin and he at that time only speaking Kazakh and Russian, he sang songs in French, Italian, Russian, Kazakh, English and Mandarin and with everything and that it can be said that he went through above all and the Chinese audience fell in love with him.
I haven't heard about such a rule in his contract. Some people say there was such a rule in the contest, which was changed next year, when Jessie J won. Personally, I doubt that it's possible to want to attract great foreign singers like Dimash and tell them they can't win. I doubt that Dimash could agree to that, especially after seeing him leaving the US World's Best contest, where he was misled that he would not compete against children. I'd rather thought that there may be an unwritten bias in favor of the Chinese contestants.But then I watched the whole show, which features established singers by invitation only, some of them stars with long careers and big fan bases like the winner Sandy Lam. The overall level of the show was so high, that I could see what pressure was Dimash under to perform well. He had to fight hard and the second place was a great achievement. He was right - no matter that he did not won, the huge Chinese TV audience liked him, he stayed in China for 3 years(until COVID), made a great career there and this was the breakthrough of his international career.

Welcome to Dimash land, a diamond in the rough. He can sing anything you put down, he has 7.7 octaves, can go as high as D8. Sings in many languages, plays around 7 instruments, has trained since he was 5 years old. Is highly educated, has two degrees and working on his Doctorate. His registers irrespective of which one, are all strong and clear.
Believe it or not he didn't win this show, he came in as a wild card and they thought he would be out round two.
After this performance they had 600million views, so it would have been stupid to remove him. So he got 2nd place, due to politics. He should have got 1st. But the this song and performance won him more than just a prize it broke him out into a world audience.
He is very well mannered humble person, there are world coaches and professional singers all in amazement at his abilities. But he trained hard and still does to this day - 3 hrs a day.

After that, he went to Russia as a special jury of a New Wave Show where, together with a great composer IGOR KRUTOY, he made epic presentations in that country. Which later you can see. After that, he started giving his concerts all over Eastern Europe, the last 3 last month, where "Dears", fans from all over the world came to see him. Keep up with him, he is the great singer of our era.

Thank you for your reaction. Dimash has all kinds of songs. Not all his songs are about range. Also, this specific song was written for a singer with a wide range because its meaning is in contrasts between highs and lows, both physical and emotional. And of course, it's a contest so he must demonstrate his vocal abilities, but it doesn't diminish the fact that it is an amazing emotional interpretation of the song that only he can do. As to other songs, each one is different and not all songs require such range. He has amazing, beautiful and soulful songs of all kinds and genres, you shouldn't always expect wide range from him, and the fans who request to react to only wide range songs from him are doing him a great injustice in my opinion. The main thing about him that his voice is beautiful and his technique is amazing in any register, and that he is a great storyteller who creates a roller coaster of emotions in his listeners.
I will focus on all different stuff in future vids for sure. I really can appreciate some nice theatrics and being able to drag people in with multiple facets. Curious to see how is living the music with his entire body and emotions. Not just his voice! But while i am at it haha might aswell listen really good 😂

Dimash is a cross-genre artist. He can sing like this (and even better) in every different genre - ballads, classical, pop-opera, jazz, R&B, pop, rock, traditional kazakh music etc etc. He no longer needs talent shows and after doing one in the US (where he was disrespected) he says he won't do any more. He composes and arranges, has songs written for him and he sings covers of songs. He has been involved in film and acting, has done modelling, been on many TV shows and sung theme tunes for video games and movies. He's had sell out concerts in many countries around the world. Due to the pandemic a proposed tour was cancelled so he and his creative team created a full digital concert, released online in 2021. The performances, stage sets, digital effects and dancing on this are stunning. Please react to more Dimash, you won't regret it. Great reaction! I too recently found Dimash thanks to all of the Loyal and wonderful fans! This was my first reaction on my channel, "The Speak Easy Lounge"- He is definitely NOT a one trick pony! This young man can do ANY Genre with effortless perfection! I would suggest the following as a good follow up to this. He just entrances! I am a TOTAL "DEAR"! For his range and playful side, try "Opera 2", "Confessa/Diva Dance" (This is the song the blue alien sang in the movie "The 5th Element") It was recorded in studio in different parts to make it IMPOSSIBLE for a human to sing- for the movie...Until Dimash! He shows off his acting chops in the Official MV of "Be with me" & "Golden" (Think Jackie Chan meets 007). Then for an ANGELIC performance, "Ave Maria". To see his MJ like dance skills with a twist- "Stranger". There are so many! I would start here. You will garner MANY supporters and could literally do nothing but Dimash reactions and your channel will skyrocket! Thanks to the Dimash Dears, I went from 0 subs to almost 24k in a little over a year! Loved your review. Loved that u watched to the end too. Quite a few surprises beyond the song, in a good few of his videos. At this point he is 22, 5 octaves now at 28 n this year 2022, he has a range of 7 octaves. He is highly qualified musician in most genres. Declined an offer to join his own countries opera house because he wanted to be able to explore and push boundaries. His life IS music, plays at least 7 instruments. Sings in 15 languages and speaks 5. Composes music, writes lyrics - war n peace is an example of his composition, which I think he wrote in his teens. This changes as he continues to explore. Because it was obvious to his parents that he had a propensity for music he was taken to Kazakhstan's music school where at age of 3yrs he was declared pitch perfect. His parents are singers anregarced as a prestigious couple.But more than anything, he is a compassionate, kind, generous caring young man, who knows life can spin on a sixpence, and life changes. He values his "Dears" - his fans, and knows without them he is nothing.
Here it was his 1st time away from home, no Chinese or English, they did provide a translator. This is a competition between well, established artists. Dimash was invited to take part after one of the organisers heard him singing. He was at this time the only foreigner to ever be involved in this Chinese programme. He came 2nd. I'm sure the fact that he was not a national of China that st tgst time at least, a Chinese programme wud not be able to allow a non national to win. Though I think they might now. The winner was a lady and had a beautiful voice too. The world started to know of Dimash because the audience appreciated his talent and spread the word world wide. They were the judges of the competition, all involved in music one way or another. You are in for the most fantastic journey thru his development. Pple hve waited for him to sing the opening songs for films come out of retirement to write and compose for him. He is so humble about his gifts. U will hear him sing all genres including rap. 7.7 octave range
Dimash had all kinds of music training. He started music training at the age of 5; enrolled in music school plus his regular classes. He trained in classical, jazz, pop, etc. He fully trained in Opera and was offered a position at the opera house in Kazakhstan where his career would be set.
Dimash chose to go off on his own. He wanted to experiment and create new music, without the aid of autotune and all the things they use these days.
Singer set his career moving forward and before it finished, he had fans and fan clubs all over the world. Now, at soon to be 28 he is famous and in-demand everywhere. His concerts are incredible. You should watch or react to his first concert, Bastau. It was award-winning.

Now his English is getting better and after he visits the states to study for 3 years, he will be super proficient.
