- Let’s mod the Konami Hyperstick! It comes stock with all Seimitsu parts, so this is a somewhat simple mod. Many of the same techniques can be used on numerous retro arcade sticks with buttons soldered to the PCB. Obviously, there are many options in terms of PCB, joystick and button choice but this should get you familiar with the mod in general. Have fun!

Arcade sticks: made to be modified! I love custom arcade sticks. Just get rid of the crappy parts and install some high-quality ones into them and you're good to go. ^_^

Heads up for anyone with one of these who happens to be looking for a new dustwasher - I got mine today and the shaft is the same diameter as the LS-62 but a few mm longer, and the Hyperstick and LS-62 dustwashers are identical

I wonder how much trouble it would be to swap the LS-56 with a Sanwa JLF.
I’ve got a question about the “ls-56” that comes with the Konami stick.
Is it possible that it’s actually an ls-62? Pictures online make them both look very similar except in the shaft size, though I haven’t gotten to actually test them to see how they compare in feel.
Well other than the shaft everything else seems identical to the LS56. I own several LS62 joysticks and while they do have the shorter shaft the pcb etc seems different. They also feel VERY different. L62 much lighter compared to stiffer ls56
Complete waste of money for today's standards. This the kind of shit we were doing in early-mid 2000s when you had to de-solder and dremel.
