- A full introduction to the balisong flipping hobby and all you need to know as a beginner to balisongs! I originally wanted to make a 1 month progress of my flipping skills but I realised that watching one month of me failing the chadder over and over again is not very fun to watch...
WARNING: I HIGHLY RECOMMEND BALISONG TRAINERS (dull metal blade, not a real knife, does not cut) FOR BEGINNERS TO START OUT WITH. THIS VIDEO IS FOR EDUCATION AND ENTERTAINMENT. I DO NOT ENDORSE ANYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 13 TO BE WATCHING THIS VIDEO OR PLAYING WITH KNIVES, REAL OR FAKE.

I didn't talk about my BRS Barebones in the video (I... don't really like it at all) but hope you guys enjoyed! I hope in the future I'll finally be able to get my hands on a zephyr but I'll aim small first and get a Vulp when it's available for me B)
I've been flipping for awhile although im still a beginner i hope you get better
Can you please release that spreadsheet with the tricks you learned so we can make a copy and progress on paper too?
Could be wrong but I don't think Svix ships internationally.
I heard that the barebones isn’t great. I have a replicant and I like it a lot except to get a trainer version (assuming you can’t buy a live blade) you’d have to buy a whole knifes worth of 3rd party mods
@@Rule907 really that sucks had no clue
Tokaku is now even cooler than before
i thought she knew how to for a while
She was already cool enough

This was so awesome, thank you for letting me participate in this great video!!!
Holy crap i just clicked on the vid and saw your comment and got exited more than ive ever been lmao.
Will Hirsch in a tokaku was not something I expected. Cool to see!
holy shit the man himself is here
Ayo the legend himself
Wasn't expecting this. You two are great content creators man, keep it up 🗿🔪
NOOO NOT THE FIIO!!
Fantastic job on this whole thing, very informative and full of great tips!! I really hope this can get even more people into this awesome hobby!

I will say I wasn't too much of a fan of the vulp because it lacks machine work. But your arguments in the interview changed my mind!

Seeing Will in this video was a pleasant surprise
I have been balisong flipping for 5 years and I have still never used an actual knife, tokaku is such a mad lad
I DON'T HAVE A LIVE BLADE. IT'S ILLEGAL IN MY COUNTRY
@@tokaku LMAOOO MrToast here is tryna get you in trouble
she is so cool she grew nuts
@@tokaku lol, im from nz so it's illegal here as well, but I remember one time someone brought this extremely sharp one to school that he got from his "uncle" up the coast
@@tokaku its actually not i think. I got a live blade into singapore but the blade had to be shipped separately.
as a person who does balisong tricks regularly i can say that having 3 fingers isn’t that bad
As a Bali flipper for over a year now, it’s very cool to see more popular content creators get into the hobby.
low key one of the best intro to balisong flipping videos i’ve ever seen, and i would’ve never expected it from your channel.
wicked sic 🤙
im so glad other people are into balisong, i love it myself and its cool to see you do it aswell!
NO WAY YOU FLIP TOO?!?! I've been flipping for about a year and a half now, learned a ton of tricks from big flips and will hirsch, genuinely my favorite hobby
Great intro video! I love seeing more people make videos on Balisongs and helping to grow the community!
wow, I would have never guessed that you would learn a hobby that is so close to my heart! I watched your channel because of the rythm games, but i am very happy to see this hobby grow! Thank you!
Been flipping for ~3 years and overall, and I'd say this is a great overview! There's a lot to know about when starting, and covering stuff like maintenance and pivot systems are really important for new people to know about. One thing I'd also mention is that Teflon taping your bali is a great alternative to Loctiting. Also, never, never, never buy cheap Amazon balis, lol. For people getting into the hobby, Big Flips and Will Hirsch are great informational channels, and some brands to check out are Squid Industries, Machinewise (specifically the Prysma for trainers), Glidr, and NRB Concepts. Also, carbon honey and kpl stay on top (sorry canto)
The best overall balisong video I've seen. Thank you lovely lady.
I think I remember a while back when I started to get into flipping seeing a Not Tokaku vid with a balisong (don’t remember if the vid was about balisongs or just had one in it). It’s cool to see you’re still flipping and I hope you have fun getting more into the hobby.
-Now we need to get Will Hirsch into rhythm games-
True
Geometry dash would be cool tho 👍
@@paeda2645 I don't think I need to say what's wrong with this comment.
why@@Jono997
awesome video! i was subscribed for the rhythm games but seeing another one of my hobbies reflected on your channel is super sick!
There's something about tkk being a rhythm gamer that gives this even MORE incredible BDE. I can't even do lightsaber tricks without giving myself huge leg bruises and mild concussions, so I definitely do not have the courage for this
Ily you made every flipper happy
I just discovered this video. As a child I had a very small balisong and liked to practice tricks with it before I even knew it was a “thing”. To this very day, I’m still always trying out tricks whenever I’m using tools like a hammer or pincers or even everyday stuff like keys on a keychain. I never knew there were things such as a blunt training balisong. Thank you for this video. I just ordered my first training balisong and I went for the Nabalis Vulp after seeing this video and looking at some of Will’s video’s. Can’t wait to practice!
Now this is The Y2K “Proceeds to do a Zen RollOver.”
Your unboxing of the nautilus actually brought me to will hershy through autoplay where i eventually convinced myself to buy my squiddy. So in a long way you also were an inspiration to get me into balisong flipping
yo i love bali flipping, also i am so happy people are getting into fliping, and you got will too
super stoked to see this hobby picking up steam lately. i got my first trainer 3~ years ago and i still flip today. i suck, but i picked up a live blade and only have a few minor scrapes. good shit!
This made my night 100 times better
I got my first trainer in 2020 from amazon and went through 2 of them! (and stopped flipping for a while) don't recommend them at all but hoping to get a good balisong trainer in the future. and this hobby was perfect for me alongside playing rhythm games, thanks tokaku!
Yeah anything on Amazon is going to be dogshit other than the vulp or Morse.
watching this fill flipping my maryn lite, glad to see some recognition!
I cool closing trick I would recommend is the "short stop" its a cool way to finish off a combo
I bought one around 2 years ago and love them. That is all to it I would say
This looks super fun :D Nice video!
That was a really awesome and unexpected switchup in content :)
Heck yea this so cool to see you talk about balisongs
I'm so glad this art is still alive to this day
Gonna love tokaku vid!
Cool to see more people getting into it
Oh lord, I already do skill toys wit Yo-Yos and Kendama but my Filipino heritage is calling me to try Balisong Flipping 😩
Awesome video, I might give it a shot with how accessible you make the hobby with this video.
The fact that you name TF2 is amazing.
That game is +15 years old (+doesn't get an meaningful update for more than 4 years, almost 5 years) and still kick-ass to other 1st person shooter like... Overwatch?
Man I need the spread sheet in 22:40! That would be very useful and it incetivizes me to learn more tricks.
Great video on Balisong flipping!
This could be the least thing I expected you to do but holy it's cool af
never imagine this kind of content coming from you lol
great vid btw
I remember when you came into the balisong discord, it was crazy seeing you there but really cool, sick to see that you were able to make the video
Congratulations! You are now on your way to become a holdaper champion!
Great video, I love flipping
its so satisfying watching you doing these tricks god damnn
This is a neat little video. Never knew how people were doing this but I'm more informed about it.
Well damn, now I want a balisong! thank you for showing us this marvelous rabbithole of absolute style
Welcome! and I'm sorry
ready your wallet and bandaids
@@Soggy_Toasts true but mainly the wallet lmao
@@Soggy_Toasts Don’t forget your determination! TRICKS ARE FRUSTRATING AS HELL
I ordered my practice butterfly knife literally the day I saw this video because it looked so cool
i just bought a $3.5 trainer and to my surprise it didnt have any of the issues mentioned for the $20 ones off ali express, this video is the first thing that came to my mind the moment i my order arrived so thank you tokaku
Bali is dope keep on fwippin
of all people to learn balisong flips i never thought you would’ve learnt it
Outside video so rare. Also love the new skill really cool.
Now I want to try!!
Thanks for the video. I've been interested in balisong flipping for awhile but I was never convinced by those cheap amazon knives. I'll keep an eye out for the vulp because it sounds interesting.
I never learned how to flip, my first balisong was a kris blade with two edges. Which for me is the advantage of a balisong, you can conceal a dagger and use both hands to deploy it pretty quickly.
Babe wake up, new totaku video just dropped
I'll have to watch later unfortunately, but the intro looks really cool!
I think I want this to be my new hobby :o it looked so cool!
I think u should make more video about balisong i love the way u explain.. maybe balisong collection viseo?
ive been longing for this
As a flipper good video right here 👍
I like to think youre the reason my classmates got into balisong flipping this past month :D
You are a woman of many talents. I envy you.
the absolute queen
perfect timing I started flipping a month ago xdd
helped a lot :DD
welcome to the hobby!
finally someone who doesn't do random hand shaking and call it "LEVEL 69 BALISONG TRICK" thanks for putting in the effort for the bali-community :)
Even if I didn't own one, it's still really cool to watch ur content
omg tokaku amazing with the flipping
Awesome video :D
Very cool video!
That’s for the captions!
That’s a beautiful krake raken 🙂
ayooo lets go tokaku getting into it
20:38 That’s the Will Hirsch we know. Classic!😂
That last part's no joke. When a screen is near it's not a Balisong anymore, its a phone seeking missile.
Wow that was realy cool
wow that was really cool 👍
that intro is fire damnn
It's insane how much talent you have
Really well made and informative video, it was very interesting to watch.
Also thank you so much for the shoutout, I really appreciate it!
New solid support here keep flipping god bless🙏🙌
As a flipper my self I love watching people on their journey
"Sample text"
what an inspirational quote
jokes on you, im learning right now! it’s hard.
I actually bought a couple cheap training balisongs after seeing that your video got taken down for it lol. Both the tang pins fell out after a couple days, so I've just been flipping without them
Aight this conivced me enough to get back into flipping, only reason I stopped was that the trainer I was using was cheapo butterfly comb
Wow what can you NOT do? You're very talented
just got a trainer balisong from aliexpress. metal, with a comb (not a good comb lol) heavy, my first balisong. its seems like it might be balanced enough to learn on. has the oily rainbow look
thanks for the guidance!
i love bali flipping
I loved the vid, did cry a bit when I heard if hit the floor tho
the krake raken is such a smooth trainer
Your video pushed me over the edge and got me into balisong flipping! Any plans to make more balisong vids? Also, have you gotten any new balisongs lately? It looks like it's getting a lot harder to import them into Singapore.
i started learning a month ago then u come out with this
very nice
i knew your channel from osu! sick to see flipping content :)
Is this a second channel? I swear I've watched just a few of your other bali videos a few years ago or so....
Either way love the bali content!
no, the channel you watched it on was probably the 2nd channel (not tokaku)
I'm in my second month of flipping, and I've got myself a Vulp and a Prysma. both are exceptional flippers, and I think I'd learned the double rollout totally on accident when opening into fans, then closing. my plans are to next save up for a good titanium made one, especially since Im friends with an anodizer.
Legendary 🔪
might be wrong but I really like the pattern in that krake raken trainer
This is very exciting! I hope this will get some new people interested in the hobby and expand this very small community! Super awesome video tokaku!
22:40 That's really funny! I did the exact same thing! I created a website just to make that process easier for myself.
You have really good flow for a beginner and imo thats the most important thing it doesn't matter how crazy technical the trick is if it's sloppy it looks baddd lmaoo
