Have to say that I think the grinder is pretty high in this video. You really need to be able to easily look straight down from over the top of it so you can see the surface right where it's being ground. Maybe Ben can see ok from where he is but for me that's probably about a foot or so too high.

yes, noticed that as well. It’s a good video in its own right. But it’s pretty much just showed how to normally grind a knife with X platen.
