The Lamson Radius is a great all-around rod. The Greys products are good, too (using an older, the GR80, as my drift boat rod, and it does a great job). The Recon is a very good rod. Still tough to beat the Fenwick Aetos for the money.

Sounds like the DXFW is best rod at $500 and if you want more, you need to pay more.

Nope, there are better performing rods out there for less money. The Greys Lance (you can get two of those for the price of one DXF) and the Fenwick Aetos (another rod where you can two for the price of one DXF) are better performing rods, at half the price of the DXF.

How about a review on the Scott Session

I can’t understand why you would review this Korean built rod when you haven’t even reviewed the Scott Session…

Sage came out with the TCR, which was the fastest rod available. By the time I could afford one, the sissified TCX came out, and the TCR disappeared.
Same thing with this DXF 2 now. Right?

The TCR was both stiff and fast. The TCX was also fast, just not as stiff.
      I have both.
Many people interchange the characteristic “fast” for “stiff”.
