This guy is too underrated! This is probably the best video I’ve seen yet on self cuts. You can call your self a barber because you are fire and way better then sum real ones. Stay blessed and thank you for this vid!!!
Damn bro! Your haircut is sick asf ! What a champ thanks for sharing, also you explain stuff really well, very systematic yet not boring at all, you deserve more and more subscriber champ
So informative man! Great video! I'm here because the current 3 way mirror i bought has an LED light but it just isn't enough coverage to get good lighting. Strongly considering this if it improves the light coverage! Thanks :)
Bro this is the haircut I want and my barber can’t even do it here. Thanks for the tutorial I might practice to cut my hair from now on. Also I’m anew subber keep it up.
Thanks for this video bro. I bought my multi mirror for €20,- and the rest of the LED accessories for €12,- total price €34,- this saved me about €117,- amezing!
Hoping I can save up for all that equipment to cut my hair efficiently, but right now walmart clippers and a hand held mirror will do the trick hahaha. and whilst I'm waiting to save I might as well learn as much as I can, nice video man!
Ambidextr0us appreciate it! Get used to the mirror and Walmart clippers. Once you get the self cut system and solid clippers you will feel the difference in quality and efficiency!
Great tutorial man. Helps especially for us asians with straight hair, it's difficult to find such a detailed tutorial lol. Do you still cut your own hair?
Thanks for posting this. I found your video looking for 360 mirror videos, but I really like your tutorial on how to do the bald fade and it came out awesome. My self cut mirror is on the way but i’m most concerned about cutting the left side, as that always seems the hardest to do (especially switching to left hand). But i’m hoping the 360 mirror will help, as using a handheld mirror was just too hard. Can’t wait for my mirror to come in so i can try this and hopefully perfect it with practice! 👍🏽
Congrats on your purchase! You will 100% enjoy it over using a handheld mirror. Regarding using your left hand- just be patient and take your time. You have to train your brain but one you get used to your off hand then it will come naturally
Haven’t done this cut in a while since I currently have a combover, but I recall this being a 5 on top. So probably a 3 and 2 guard combo for the front part
Honestly you can see just as much with both depending on how you use the handheld. I like the self cut mirrors cause I feel like I can see closer with more details (especially with the lighting).
Just did the modification to my mirror its really good. I noticed when opening and shutting my led connector cables got caught between the mirror fold and it cut the wire some. It still works just noticed it. Have you had this issue?
No I haven’t had this issue. My connectors actually fit perfect when folding the mirrors. You might just need to fiddle with it a little bit to get the cables to sit correctly.
Since I comb my hair forward and cut with the 5 guard (with the grain) the top of my hair can still get pretty long. Going with the grain makes it so the hair lays evenly and doesnt stick up much. I use scissors when the top gets too long for my liking.
You can definitely stick them directly to the mirror, but you run the risk of having to peel an LED strip off in the event that one goes out and you need to replace. This has happened to me and having it on velcro made it much easier to replace
I hope you respond with how old the video is lol but i actually tried this myself once before but the led strip stopped working from folding the mirrors so many times, does using the connectors prevent this?
No you would have to buy Wahl specific guards for those legends. My trimmer is close to zero gap but not super sharp because I use the razor anyways on the lineup.
While I do like the video and its premise. I don’t really understand why I wouldn’t just pay the extra $12ish and get the one already made and add lights (I’ll pass on Amazon lights though) Oh, but therein lies the reason. I get it. I believe in freedom of enterprise. Again. The content is great. I liked the video. I just wish someone on UA-cam would rise above click-bait titles and give full disclosure of the content allowing the viewers to make the choice, based on facts, whether or not to watch a video. I’m willing to bet you didn’t make this video with any other reason than to help somebody. It’s just subconsciously wired into our brains now that any video title must “Grab” a viewer’s attention. I really did like the video though. 😂🤷♂️
Definitely get what you mean. A plus to doing it yourself is you can add more lights and if a light goes out you can replace it yourself. Thanks for watching!
this guy is articulate af. seems like an engineering student with his level of methodicalness too jeez

This was a great tutorial. Gave me a lot of confidence. Great work.
Nice, glad I wasn't the only one that added lights to their self cut system! Stay fly bro! 💪🏽

Wicked video, just bought the travel version. Do you find the lights really help? Is it worth the effort?
Only one request please can you do medium length haircut please 🙏
Great tuto!
Can you specify the links fir the black connector and white converter magneted at 3:54
Cheers!
Those will be part of the lighting kit. Check the links under my description and look for the "LED strip" link
Bro thank you
Well done 👍🏼

Do the lights provide enough brightness to fully illuminate individual hairs? Because I was thinking on doing this, or buying a light stand
The lights make a huge difference. Especially how I set it up with the vertical strips on the sides makes everything brighter
I made the same mirror system with walmart mirrors for like $20 and $10 for the leds
Same, but I guess this is for the person who couldn't find them
What guard/open/close did you use to cut the front of your head man? Thanks in advance.
Haven’t done this cut in a while since I currently have a combover, but I recall this being a 5 on top. So probably a 3 and 2 guard combo for the front part
Hey man great video. Do you know where the .5 guard and 1.5 guard stand on the ladder analogy?
Hey Jason, Great Video. How is the view of the back of your head with the self cut mirrors? VS using a handheld and bathroom mirror?
Honestly you can see just as much with both depending on how you use the handheld. I like the self cut mirrors cause I feel like I can see closer with more details (especially with the lighting).
Just did the modification to my mirror its really good.

@@jaesonflores3119 Alright cool will do that. Thanks for your reply watching your vid definitely made the process easier for me.
Great to hear I’m glad it did. Happy holidays
@@jaesonflores3119 Thanks bro 🙏 you as well!
That’s crazy
Nice job man. What’s the purpose of cutting the top with scissors if you went over it with the 5 guard?
Since I comb my hair forward and cut with the 5 guard (with the grain) the top of my hair can still get pretty long. Going with the grain makes it so the hair lays evenly and doesnt stick up much. I use scissors when the top gets too long for my liking.
What did u use to attach the black basket to bottom of mirror ..?
Late reply but they were just brass picture frame hooks
Dope video! Did you buy the 10 count or the 5 count of the velcro strips?
I bought the 10pk, but the 5pk should be fine too
What kind of brush do you have? I'm talking about the white bristle one?
supra2k8 it’s just a regular soft baby brush
@@jaesonflores3119 Thanks, you would surprised, it's not easy finding a soft white bristle barber brush, at least on amazon (canada)
supra2k8 that’s a bummer. Yeah check the baby brushes instead. I think I purchased this one at Target or Walmart. Not sure if those are in Canada
@@jaesonflores3119 I will thanks, we have Walmarts, targets couldn't compete with the existing walmarts
are your fast feeds zero gapped?
They arent 100% zero gapped, but definitely closer than how the blade comes stock
Do the lights bother your eyes when you are cutting?
Not at all! It helps my eyes cause I can see everything. Remember you aren’t looking directly at the lights, only at the mirrors.
@@jaesonflores3119 Thank you for your reply. Great job on the fade btw
Bro this was a really great video. Quick question, do you need the velcrow for the LED lights? cant you just stick them on the mirror?
You can definitely stick them directly to the mirror, but you run the risk of having to peel an LED strip off in the event that one goes out and you need to replace. This has happened to me and having it on velcro made it much easier to replace
I hope you respond with how old the video is lol but i actually tried this myself once before but the led strip stopped working from folding the mirrors so many times, does using the connectors prevent this?
Connectors 100% prevent that from occurring. Still using my setup today.
@@jaesonflores3119 thank you for the response! I’ll be sure to give it a try.
Notice me cousin!! Flores clan Support your page...
Aj Flores thanks for the support!
My clippers are Wahl Legend, would the guards for the oster apply for my clippers?
Also, is your t-trimmer zero gapped?
Thank you
No you would have to buy Wahl specific guards for those legends. My trimmer is close to zero gap but not super sharp because I use the razor anyways on the lineup.
You shure you ain't a barber, bcz that cutt so crispy i heard kfc went outa business!!
hahaha right on!
Wait a second... how did you make your fast feeds cordless?!?
they're not cordless its still corded. I retrofited them with omnicords
What are dimensions of the mirror? Thanks
9x12
