Awesome, thanks for the vid keep them coming. The Cerastus knight were next set of knights I was going to pick up but alas they have gone the way of the Psi Titan "temporary of stock" lol. Hope you are staying safe and healthy on that side of the pond. Sincerely I look forward to your vids they help to kee me painting. Been sharing your vids with my friends and recommend your channel.
Cheers Darren. Glad you're enjoying the channel. The Cerastus Atropos look quite fun I'm going to aim for 4 of each knight. Thanks for sharing the vids I'm aiming for 1 a week now. We're doing OK over here just stuck at home or work. Look forward to making Battle Reports again!
Thanks for this video. I’ve been trying to work out how these might fit into the household I’m planning to build up this year. This was super informative without being swayed by any opinions. I now understand how the different types could work together. On the resin quality front, I’ve never had issues. If you aren’t happy FW will always exchange if you ask. So whilst it might take time to sort, you do get the quality you want. I agree it’s not as easy to work with compared to plastic, guess that’s just a practice thing... Now just waiting for January pay day... 🤦♂️
Mold lines do not come from 3D printing the master model. It come from the resin mold either where some of the resin leaks out of the seam between the parts of the mold, or if there is a mold parts are not put together properly or the edges slip this creating the mold lines.
Camera seems to work fine for the closeups. I don't see (and wouldn't expect) any sintering lines from the 3D printing process on the masters, which FW has had plenty of experience with - printer tech has come a long way and high-end stuff no longer shows that sort of "stepping" anymore. Actual mold lines from the resin casting process are more likely to happen but these are clearly pressure cast and sensibly laid out so it shouldn't be much of an issue. Air bubbles are something QC should catch. Cleaning up the injection points is likely the worst thing to deal with, which is kind of inevitable. Of course, we probably aren't many years away from printing tech achieving industrial production-scale feasibility, at which point both traditional resin and plastic kits are likely to become dinosaur tech. Look forward to seeing the new Household on the table.
I saw some not so happy posts in the FB about lines and all sorts so I was keen to see how mine turned out. OK as far as I can see. Yeah looking forward to the new Househould scheme 🤟🏻
There have been a small number of examples of very obvious contours on the carapaces of these knights, posted in the facebook group. According to the person posting, forgeworld said this was the expected quality. That's the part that concerns me, as that would seem to be a step backwards.
@@Tabletop_Standard Poor, poor Acastus. Someday they'll bite the bullet and do a ground-up rewrite that makes them reasonable *and* fieldable in some numbers. Not holding my breath for it, though. It's wrong that I was looking at 28mm AdMech-ish sort of lab terrain for Necromunda and thinking about stealing an AT Knight to paint up in a bright primary monotone as a holo-display in the the center of teh room, right? :)
Was really hoping the atrapos would have vortex, find them a bit underwhelming. I like the cc, but not much else. The styrix and magaera seem interesting for cc if u take dual siege claw. 4 attacks each is decent especially because you only have to take 2.
I know what you mean but I think after the Acastus fiasco maybe they wanted to tone them down? They are interesting for sure, coordinated strike in lances makes some of the guns interesting. Look forward to giving them a spin one day 🙄
I like the new knights. I have a bunch myself but I havent finished painting them up yet. I dont think they are game changing like the acastus but I am looking forward to seeing your new household. What do you think the knew titan in the warhammer community decadent delights video could be?
Yeah I think they balanced them better this time. I think it's gonna be big, I've seen a few people messing with scales on FB quite fun. And hopefully something new, I'd love a seige titan with a huge wrecking ball! But we've only seen guns. Whatever it is I'm excited 🤪
@@Tabletop_Standard I am kinda hoping it is the warbringers basic titan without the nemesis upclassed carapaces gun But to be fair anything entirely new is also welcome. The plasma guns seem really big. Wish it is the reimagined mars alpha pattern marmonger imperator. Or the terminator assault fist would also be class.
Cheers bud. So the Magaera in 4's could dish out a lot of void saves with multiple blasts and I guess a single coordinated strike would be s9 as a finisher? I think the other two knight varients offer more 🤔
@@Tabletop_Standard its got better skirmishing range too, and +1 to hit short. might end up more reliable than the Styrix...maybe. Tempted to make magged weapon arms and scratchbuild the lightning guns as swapouts for "Cheverolets" :D
Ordered mine as soon as the pre-order came up. Still waiting 😪 Can't wait to see them on the channel! Titerminal has also updated the app to include the new knights
I'm new to the game, so if u can explain me when there are rules like the gravitation weapon with an strengh 3 it is plus a d6 right? BTW sorry for my bad english.
Hi Jafth. The small arms like the gravitation gun are in the small box with the agile rule etc. Best thing you can do is get one of the Titanicus apps they have all the Command terminals on so you can have a really good look. Try Titerminal it's great
Happy birthday Chris! Some really nice knights you've got there. :-)
Cheers Bud. Yeah they look fun, I'll be doubling up to make them full banners at some point
@@Tabletop_Standard Sweet. Really looking forward to seeing that in the future.👍😁

Glad I've helped you spend some money 😆
Looking forward to seeing them painted and in action! And congrats on the big 4 :)
Cheers bud. Yeah I love the scheme so looking forward to getting them done and ready for some reps when we can film again

Aye that's what I saw, FW are pretty good in the past with things like this.
Looking forward to seeing House Sidus on the table!
Me too bud! 😃
Gotta admit I'm not a MASSIVE fan of the aesthetic of the mechanicum knights BUT cool rules, nice that they feel so different to the other knights
Yeah they look fun. Seems they have a better balance this time round as opposed to when they dropped the Acastus.

Are the cards thick or the flimsy?
Best wishes
Cheers bud... Flimsy! The Titerminal app is very good and has them now. I may scan and stick onto thicker card. If I can be arsed 😴
Spot on write up IMO. What the F are the Magaera actually for? Happy Birthday Chris, glad to see you spoiling yourself a bit !
