I just bought one second hand . pretty sure it wasn't used very hard looking at the buyer. no idea what version it is. but 40 bucks made it a deal. hopefully it holds up.
13 year veteran at playing DDR (Expert no bar). I just ordered this pad and got it today. As someone who knows what a pad should be doing, yes you need to break this sucker in like it's no bodies business. I am 120 lbs or so. The main issue is that there is way too much space to give between the sensor and the panel itself. Other than this pad is great. I am going to try and mod mine so the break in isn't so long for me to do. I will update when I have done so.
After I got the pad, I noticed that there was quite a bit of give between the contacts on each panel. After I took the panels out I seen that the contacts are really far away from where the should be. This could be due to the plexiglass having the arc that it does. What I wound up doing was getting some foil and folded it up and taped them to the bottom of the panel thus making the distance much shorter and now it works like it should. I think the folks that make this pad should consider fixing this slight design flaw, after all it doesn't really take much to make one of these. I really should post a video about what I did to make this work better. I hope this helps.
+SonicAndTailsHD Just get a machine, you can get them for cheaper than the top of the line pads (i mean the really really expensive ones) and hook the pad io to an ipac or jpac
I bought these same pads x2 and it is soooo hard to hit the arrows right on. Scores are always D and E even when playing on light mode which is very easy. I wish I could remember the game store I bought these from so I could leave a review. oh well...
Simply GGN , i saw the video ! Well, How did the tournament pad come out ? Are the sensors generic or good ? & How is that precision dance pad ? i was on the website earlier...
@simply GGN dude where did you buy this converter?!?!?!? I have the same metal pad you do but I tried 2 different converters for my PC and tried downloading multiple Drivers but my computer will only recognize the pad as a control with analog sticks and stuff. I have looked hard online for this converter but i cant seem to find where to buy it. Do you know any other converters that are supposed to work?! I hope you see this lol I want to get this thing working.
Simply GGN You do realize there is a version that has the bar. You simply purchased the cheaper one that does not include a bar. Each metal pad from DDRGame has either a non-bar version, or a slightly more expensive with-bar version.
Precision DancePads That's what I've been doing with my foam pad. I hope to upgrade to the Energy metal pad from DDRGame that has a bar, but for now I can do fairly high level stepcharts using the RedOctane foam pad and a dinning room chair turned around. It's not perfect, but it does get the job done for the low low price of free.
+TheCyberQuake Is your pad still working? I want to get a pad and I want it to be durable. But I want to save money. I just need something thats not going to break on me in a month or two.I plan on playing songs like max 300, legend of max, paranoia survivor, songs in that range. I'm not messing with the hardcore shit like pluto relinquished, and all that nonsense. Please get back to me if you can.
Simply GGN If you want a really good pad for home play I highly recommend buying the Omega GX from precision dance pads or the energy pad from DDRGame as it seems to be more durable. Owning a pad can save you money and time. Instead of going to an arcade and paying both transportation money and money to play each time, just buying a decent pad can save you the trouble. The Omega GX is extremely sensitive and if used correctly (needs to be reinforced with something if used on soft surface such as carpet) I've heard it hardly ever breaks. It is also covered by a very long warranty and comes in many styles, with the addition of creating and uploading your own graphic to use on the pad.
“ This does not feel like an arcade pad at all, it comes really close though “.
Scott Schoppert nothing going to feel like the real thing

What adapter did you use to get this pad working with stepmania?
I have the Champion Arcade pad that is colored like this but with the bar. How do I install?
This reminds me of the cobalt flux heard pad
GAH! WHY ARE ALL DDR PADS SO EXPENSIVE

Elektrokinesis you’re not going to touch a cab in this economy

There should be something in the settings that allow you to set up the delay.. depending on the TV, you have to adjust this setting within stepmania.
Simply GGN , Is there a way to remove the green arrows from the pad ? i really like the pad but the other arrows are distracting.. Thank You !
shaolin fist I use a different pad now the omega thx

oh and I agree... we are having ro stump on the arrows.
Do the button sink in when you step on it?
Nor really
This vacation hasn"t all!!
To be honest hard to take the review seriously when you're playing on the easiest difficulty. Does it hold up to Expert 11-13?
it really depends how compatible you are with the pad. im used to the arcade pad and the balance bar so its hard for me to do higher difficulties.
GGN2112 Okay, so turn a chair around and use that for a bar. Really a bar doesn't change you from Easy to Expert.

u shoulda went with either Omega or even Intec is better
Nice
So shiny :D
TX pads are tha worst! i was told never 2 get pads like these! good luck with it
its not working
Consistent with what most everyone states, pads are reviewed often, thanks for the update.
You mean it stopped working? Would you recommend a foam pad instead?
it depends on your play style I just go to the arcade now and play ITG
