My husband who passed away March 5 of this year loved y'all. Every time I watch a new video I feel like he's here watching it with me again. Thank you for the video and the smile my friends.
I’m sorry for you loss, but it’s good to hear that these videos help you and cheer you up. I haven’t suffered a loss as you have, but I’ve had multiple back surgeries, and still face at least one more massive, and risky procedure, and in the meantime I’m most homebound due to immobility and chronic severe pain, and this and many other channels have helped me get through the days, weeks and months
Yeah....if this was 2019 or earlier.... but now every day I take my kid to daycare and check him in I have to answer the same 3 questions about who he's been around!
I don't know how they are off-camera, but if they are anything like they are on camera, then they would be amazing neighbors. Always something interesting going on, and having fun as well. I'd love to have them as neighbors.
Our county did that as well. Parents fill it out online or upload it into PowrSchool directly. That freed up the person who only scanned documents to now help with registration. No more shuffling paper. They can remote work their job if they need to without stacks of paper.
Some people with chronic pain in their hands to can't fill by hand an online form is somewhat easier. I know I actually have chronic pain in my hands your district should have done that sooner.
My kid is diabetic and nut allergies. After the 2nd year of having to fill out the forms by hand I scanned them and now just update them and change the dates then print! Done! This year new school so I just emailed them in.
I remember sending all those tons of forms home with students. It’s all complicated by the fact that the state, the district and the school each have their sets of forms that they require. This makes some of those forms redundant and ridiculous. Some of them were made even more ridiculous by the fact that my students had severe disabilities and really couldn’t read or agree to follow the Code of Conduct etc. The start of school is crazy.
I loved all the glorious releases of papers while Kim and Penn were dancing, leaping, and spinning. So beautiful and fun! But my favorite part was Penn Charles dancing behind his dad -- what an amazing young man -- his energy, smooth moves, laugh, and sweet smile are so positive. Talent and fun sure run in the family! Thank you all so much for the light you shine! And best wishes to Lola, whatever she's doing.
Don’t worry parents, when your kids go off to college it’ll all fall onto them. FERPA and HIPAA ensue they have to take care of their own housing contract, immunization records, textbook forms, medical history, loan agreements, etc. Don’t get me wrong, they’ll be helping a lot. Someone will still be asking about “Great Aunt Edna’s” medical history. But your kid will have to receive and submit, and you don’t sign anywhere!
As a college student that has been to 4 different colleges and universities for crazy reasons I can attest that this is true! I have asked my parents for a lot to figure it all out. Thank goodness I have never had a loan though! I am thinking it will be about 3-5 years before I get a loan I want a house then.

I have a son with a hearing problem that was not correctable so there were things they needed to do, like make sure he was on the right side of the classroom and not near things like projectors. EVERY class, EVERY year had me fill out a form that included a spot for any concerns which I duly filled out. Inevitably, every year it would come up that he wasn't paying attention because he didn't know answers to things just taught. I would ask him why and he would say he couldn't hear. Then the teacher would say they never read the form when I mentioned it! He finally spoke up for himself when he got older, but the teachers not doing their part to read what we had to fill out became a pet peeve.

Well, hopefully the paperwork is filed correctly, for once! Because I’m watching you! Always watching!
Jk lol
Where are my college students at? I feel like *I’ve* been doing paper work all freaking summer! Gone are the days when I just handed it over to my parents. FERPA and HIPAA suck!
The good news is in many cases the school issued Lenovo Chromebooks (at least bought under a NC gov contract) issued last year and this year should have a pretty beefy warranty. One of my students put it on the roof of his car. Drove away. It got run over by a truck. They went back scooped up the laptop pieces and were issued a new laptop the same day. Lenovo replaced it.
Kim, Those jeans look fabulous on you! Even stressed, you look great!
My mom is hilarious on the first week of school she asks “Do you have any homework?” And when I say no she also asks “do I have any homework?” Meaning things she has to sign
Lol why so much paperwork? 😂 I have a toddler who’s not in school yet. I’m not looking forward to that haha.
