Damn... This song rings true for today/now! I never understood this song until today as of this post. I'm gonna replay this. Damn my younger self was so ignorant. It's amazing and humbling how musicians knew back then and tried to teach dumbasses like me back then to what was to come and what is happening now. Fear Factory. You told me so. I'm just now realizing this. So much respect.
crimsondeath84 Fear Factory pioneered that certain style, though the band refers to Meshuggah as taking that style to a different level. FF & Meshuggah are both so groovy and heavy as metal bands and they are also both quite melodic even when extreme
"Empty Vision" A paralyzed mind embracing decay, Dead like carrion just wasting away, There is nothing... Numbed by excess and complete saturation, Scarred influence by degeneration, There is nothing to believe... All has been lost, All have lost their way, Every eye has been disgraced, Dead like carrion, We must carry on... There is nothing... Lost innocence and blank revelations, Searching for a hope in static transmissions, There is nothing to believe... All has been lost, All have lost their way, Every eye has been disgraced, There's no reason, There is no reason for empty vision
Miriamchus chus sadly Burton agreed to go along with Dino and pretend this and archetype were never released. They don't play any of these songs anymore or promote the album on Spotify. Understandable, given that many of the lyrics on Archetype were spitefully aimed at Dino
Most songs on this album are quite unique and very good. I dont what everyone is talking about that this album sucks. Its very different but still very good
Justin Nehls it needs remastering or even remixing/re-recording. That’ll never happen though! The new FF lineup (a side project formed by Burton and Dino to which Christian and Ray are not allowed to contribute) refuses to promote the archetype/transgression songs, which is a shame, for several amazing songs on this album (including Spinal Compression) and many songs on Archetype such as Drones, Default Judgment and Human Shields
I think they say it sucks because the production sucks. The guitar sound is weak and awful but it's a good album. Just imagine how great it would be if this LP sounded like Demanufacture, Mechanize or Genexus.
100% agreed dude, been a FF fan for years but never listened to this album, hearing it for the first time today and glad I fucking did! Great fucking album, very underrated, just like the band. ;)

Well as a FF fan back at the time of release, I hated this - couldn't tell you exactly why, suppose it was just different from what I was used to. But I'm digging it now.
This is the first Fear Factory song I ever learned on guitar. I fuckin love this song.
Kicks ass!
Fucking shredder bro, right on.
The chorus brings a very sad feeling.
The vocal melodies on this album are so good
No for replacement but new copy of vocal is good really but why copy. New vocalist should find personal vocal. No just copy. In my opinion.

Like the smoothness of it!
Kay C oh yes, dear factory is one of my favorite bands
The dear fear factory
Ray Herrera is an awesome drummer and he beats the shit out of his whole kit
Back in 05 i would drive my nephew to his pee wee football games and this album, this song especially, was our pre game soundtrack. Man time flies!!
ive loved ff for 14 years now my love will never die
Love how the drums sync with the guitar
The best drummers feed off their guitarists imo. I put Ray on that list.

That's that industrial style homie
@@kiradali8992 gene was amazing!!! Mike mangini and Mike portnoy since were on drummers.and amazing, the best
@@Meshuggapeth Fear Factory and Meshuggah are badass AF TBH.
An underrated album from a legendary band.
I just saw Ray yesterday by where I work. signed my FF cover

Their darkest EVER track.
so refreshing, I love this album. As some have spoken, it deserves to be remastered

more like completely remixed and then remastered
Its fine as it is
My favorite band ever I wished I could hangout with them they all seem like good fun guy
this song makes me want to stand up and bounce.
Ahh this song brings back good memories :)
Incrível música (música de verdade) , letras e melodia bem sombrias .
I have loved Burtons voice since DEMANUFACTURE , he and the band are excellent musicians !!!!!!🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾

It was something good, new 1996, 1997.
Most songs on this album are quite unique and very good. I dont what everyone is talking about that this album sucks. Its very different but still very good
Justin Nehls Maybe because it sound low-fi. But I love it like all the others even Digimortal.
Yeah sound quality was bad. Needs remastered with lower vocals and louder guitar

Fear Factory fucking kicks ass !!!
This album is not on Spotify, and it really pisses me off.

I love his clean voice, not like i hate his growls, but his clean voice is pretty chilling
I'm trying to learn the beat that starts at 21 seconds in, it's difficult to say the least. Raymond Herrera is absolutely a drum god in my book.
Totally agree @adave8354....
& I think his the best double bass drum kicker ever !!!
Yea he was in a bad called archaia or something like that.
Best
Cyberpunk 2077 Easter Egg
This might be the only Factory song in standard tuning and its still brutal!
Did you ask him what he is doing now?
Fukin bad asssss album!!!! The first album that made me love FF echo of my scream was all I wanted to hear!!!
Well as a FF fan back at the time of release, I hated this - couldn't tell you exactly why, suppose it was just different from what I was used to. But I'm digging it now.
