It really takes time to learn when to build AD or when to build AP, if you're just starting out katarina i would only build AP until you get the hang of her and start to understand her matchups and when its right to build ap or ad
@@xperxts7598 its not that hard, if your team is full ad and enemy team comp is squishy go for ap, if one of these conditions aren't true, then go ad.

The divine build is still really good, I’ve gotten too used to feeling tanky like every other champ in the game and actually being able to do something so I still build it

From my experience during the first week of the patch, I had the best results with :
1) Kraken (excellent ad + on hit item, synergizes with Conqueror)
2) Guinsoo (mandatory)
3) Nash tooth (ap increase the DMG of kraken and all your skills + more on hit DMG)
4) Static shiv (scales with AP too, and you have so much attack speed that you proc it 3 or 4 times during your ult (yup, your ult or your E procs the energize effect ) )
5) Rabadon? Or any adaptative item
I've been learning Katarina, just for this patch. I'm not at any wildly crazy stage of learning her, I'm just trying to understand her kit and how it works, and how I can utilize it as much as I can.
Honestly, Kraken is amazing, but I also tried something stupid, where I did Bloodthirster and Lethal Tempo. I can't say it's better than Conq but it's definitely there with how easy it is to stack 6 stacks of Lethal Tempo and then have a better scaling ult. Just makes her extremely squishy of course.
kraken into rageblade into nashors and then into full ap is extreme
Gotta love how Kraken>Rageblade is borked on ADCs at full stacks but works fine on Kat.

I'm starting to think that no matter whether you go AP or AD Kraken and Rageblade should be a part of every build. They both just give everything Kat could want, the hybrid pen on Rageblade especially is just disgusting
Yeah rageblade mythic pasive is just grossly overtuned imo. Sunderer had about the same but a bit weaker to begin with and they nerfed it down to 3 & 3 instead of 5 & 6 like rageblade has and sunderer is still the strongest mythic in the game.
yeah u must always do kraken if u go ap, or kraken guinsoo
krakens has a bug with rageblade, you don`t activate it as it must be when you buy both items, so krakens does less damage than it should
Yess do more builds, I want to have better mechanics this patch and know when I can all in or not, to grind rank

Can you try this build: kraken, berserkers, ghostblade, ravenous hydra, seryldas grudge and collector. Trust mt you have atack speed, dmg, armor pen, and free ks from the collector for ez pentas

i think kraken + static and ap is pretty fun tbf
New items can be good as you want, but the feeling on completely deleting people with 1 dagger with the ap build is unmatched for me.
Kraken guinsoos is bugged atm, when charging up guinsoos passive(first 4 auto) it only takes 2 auto for kraken to proc after takes 5 auto

Hey, have you ever tryed going longsword/refillable, then on your first back you get corrupting potion. its a insane item on katarina. increased healing because no mana, and 20 dmg on hit for 15 sec on 3 charges.

that is not how that works and one test is practice mode would have told you that. corrupting dot damage is not applied as an onhit. the damage only applies at the standard interval. also the healing isnt increase for manaless champions but the dot damage is increased. I have absolutely no idea how you came up with this, cause litterally nothing in the item description implies ANY of this.

Runes : Lethal Tempo then standard
You just live to delete someone :d and then be deleted in the process x)
kraken slayer - guinsoo feels squishier than ap even though none of those builds give you health

So probably never a kraken rush, but a good situational item when you feel like you can ult safely
if ur going new build usually you want to start kraken then guinsoos , then either full ap (nashors deathcap) or full ad (shield bow statik)
i thought currently rage blade + kraken is bugged, prog kraken with 2 , 2 attacks then 5 attacks

Game 3 Think about Lee Sin's perspective for a second. Going against point and click stun spear man, a snake woman, a Yordle with abilities to make your dash useless is scary 😰
idk the games i played soo far went good and i built like botrk wits rageblade statikk and titanic or dd my damage felt awesome both against tanks and nontanks and i was tanky enough to not get oneshotted by someone sneezing into my direction basically just conbined the divine build with some new things
If u are going guinsoo as a mythic now, that means u don't dont need to play wait for ur e to do more dmg from sheen, right ? U can just fight now how u usually would without being tied to the sheen and it's cool down ?
