By the end of 2012, the album had sold 411,000 copies in the US, making it the 71st best-selling record of the year, and the third highest-selling hard rock album. The record also debuted at No. 6 on the UK Albums Chart with first-week sales of 14,040 copies, making it their highest-charting album ever in the country. In Japan, it debuted at No. 3 on the Oricon chart, and was one of the few albums by western artists to appear on their year-end tally, finishing at number 89 with 79,517 copies sold.

EEAS, Skyscraper, ALAE, DLR Band are all class albums. YFLM is a very different flavour to Dave, but has aged very well.
Hooooooly shit. 😂😂😂😂😂 "Both cheeks?"😅😅😅😅😅
Go Dave Go!
Make NO MISTAKE... I am Team Dave!
No apologies from me... and No more sympathy... we ALL go through tragedy, death and sadness... fair?
"But his Dad died... the poor guy..." blah, blah, blah.
Guess what, my Father died too, as did a lot of others on the planet... and for those who haven't experienced that sadness yet, you will, we all do!
With that said... this... I mean... THIS!
David Lee Roth... let it rip... you are not alone in your thoughts....
As for all of those on Team Spoiled Brat!
Good for you... I am not.
Let's not forget Wolfie never mentions Alex as a guilty party for the tribute concert as well as ADKOT.
A DIFFERENT KIND OF TRUTH! AMEN. hey kid! Stop eating SOOOOOOOOOOOO much and live a healthier life.
You ain’t wrong, dude needs to put the shovel down (double entendre ala DLR style intended). He’s digging an early grave.
hahahahahaha ... DLR humor, par excellence!
Set it all on fire, Dave.
#mrchristophertv
There is a difference between humor and straight out going at the juggler. The only thing funny is that Wolfgang, like his Dad could be in a coma and still have more talent then DLR even from the grave EVH still had more talen then DLR POS...
Hmmm, anarchy.....real funny....
@@uspeople77 This is not "funny"-there's no humor here, only spite and enmity...
gosh i love you dave
I'm surprised to see so many people butthurt by this video. Wolfie is kind of a spoiled turd. He's very talented, but none of the people that I know were happy about Michael Anthony being replaced. Honestly, I think it went to Wolfie's head. He needs to learn a little self control, and stop harassing fans on social media while he's at it. DLR was and still is Van Halen. I love it.
More!!!!!
Smooth as silk.
Oh sheeeets that someone gonna have to change! Funny as always! This might be the way mister? All the love!
Four words dave. Go out with pride.
Unfortunately, ladies and gentlemen, the diamond has gotten a little dusty.
Looking very agile in those photos. Wondering how much 🐺 will appreciate you commenting on life's lessons of the music industry.🤔
I freaking love it. Dave tells it how it is.
"I always hate nostalgia, living in the past. No point In getting misty eyed. It all screamed by so fast." ~ Mick Jagger
SLAYED MR.CHRIST AGAIN!!! I love the new comparison of the last VH album/Ali fights, KEEP DUMPING THE MEMORY BANK, before you kick it!!! This is EPIC!!
I get why Ed wanted to play in the band with his son. What father wouldn't? Obviously Dave thought the kid overstepped his boundaries in the band and is not letting the kid take pot shots at him with negative comments in the media. Dave is firing back. It should have been made clear from the get go that the kid is at the bottom of the chain of command in this band regardless if his last name is VH (Edward should have tuned the kid in to this). Funny how some of the low budget media is trying to pass off Diamond Dave as crazy or he is unhinged for his comments recently. Clearly DLR is trying to be entertaining while putting the kid over his knee and spanking him.
M Anthony chose to go with Hagar, Edward had no choice but to hire his son.
@@2216sammySo you think Sammy wouldn’t let him play with the original lineup? Not much of a friend if so. There’s zero chance Mike would’ve turned down a reunion, he was never asked.
Dave doesn’t care and never did about being friends with the press or the Watchmen of the industry. Being an artist, especially in rock n roll (real rock n roll, not this kumbaya crap) is about NOT being cool and separating yourself from the accepted groups. Val, Sam, Wolf etc represent this establishment type of thinking where it’s all about knowing the right people and posting pics of yourselves in high company. Instead of actually doing hard work to create a sound. They only like the rewards of being an artist. That’s why they will have no legacy
@@Whaddayamean13 Spoken as DLR himself would say it. I WONDER ? ...Being 'Rock 'n Roll' anti establishment posturing while claiming you've done the work & younger people havent could be a BIG false assumption on your part. & being 'Rock & Roll' anti establishment doesn't give someone like Dave a licence to be a heartless , mean spirited sonavab*ach to people who helped him get back on board & helped his career.

Like always, Dave the entertainer. If you know the context, he is making a valid point.
I know the content and this is fucked up.
And Mammoth WVH albums rock!
Why Dave? Why?
@@Robcadams1974Commercially, it does not "rock". Dave is just saying it like it is. Truth gives it to you with no lube.
@@Robcadams1974 Because the CANNIBLISS has got him confused about life at large. ...'Cannabliss....Its a GAS .....I'm just smashed Jack-Keep-yer-hands-off of MY stash.'

@@e.l.nortonI may be wrong, but Roth is not referring to Mammoth WVH.
Wow - a superstar that has the guts to make fun of an entitled millennial who's only famous (is he even famous?) because of his father and uncle! Way to go Dave!
So proud i can say i seen VH, the only VH, original VH...
Tough Love!
KEEP IT COMING!!
still love dave after Ed he was Van Halen
As always writing a comment to support the channel!

Cheers Dave. Your fùcking awesome. 😂

POOR OLD DAVE GIVE US A STORY & A DANCE 👍🤠
With those female 'FUNNY DUMMIES' in the background it looks like its about to be a POLE DANCE' ...lol
Judging by the female dummies in the background a POLE dance…lol
The last 2 VH albums... Not listened to in many years. It's CVH albums for me. I was always sold on what I "heard" as mixed down on the CVH albums. The "Dave Show" was a side attraction to the Main Event... "The Songs," which were sometimes sung live in concert, in the distant past...
The opening... 😂
Diamond Dave was is and forever will be VanHalen!!!
Ed, Al, and Wolf are the ONLY Van Halen. No one else matters.
agreed

TRUTH
Dave knows how the system works. Start some beef and you get tons of free publicity, then album sales and therefore $$$$$$. He may be doing Wolfie a favor. Intentionally.
I went and saw Wolfie, and left halfway thru as did others, it was boring😮
it's his own band, don't expect VH material. It's a good band.
Always was always will be a fan of Dave
He says it as it is.
Yes, indeedio!👍
That makes sense
After David did his wolf rant yesterday the next audio video that popped up in my feed was an interview from LA radio station from 1982 with David and Alex these two guys worked the interview like something magical I'm going to keep an open mind about maybe just maybe David and Alex will get together and do something new for the fans that would be 😎cool.
Lol dont count on it
Remember all the years the Van Halen brothers did Everything they could do to Humiliate and Destroy Dave? Well, it's payback time now. Revenge is always waiting for wrongdoers.
I’m not sure what the album’s production costs were, but by 2012 standards it seemed to be successful.
Per Wiki: The record was also a commercial success. A Different Kind of Truth entered the US Billboard 200 at No. 2, selling 188,000 copies in its first six days of release, becoming the group's 14th consecutive top ten album in the US.
DLR The King Of Rock and Roll
Let me use the advent of modern technology to generate a salutation worthy of a legend so that he may appreciate it and give it at least one finger up, k here it go..Dave, you my man for ever will be 💎 Dave to me. The world may change, true, but dont you ever change. btw you don't still have that famous Oakland scarf do ya ? k later. 👍
The main reason ADKOT was DOA was Dave’s 1-800-Crap lyrics and perfomance.
Dave`s lyrics were the highlight of that album. At least most of them. Singing not so much.
David your the man 💯
