Thanks bro... Loved it and would not have been mad if it was longer maybe talking about motor strength comparison and how the top plate and removal of the pole vent affects performance... and voice coil differences... But Thanks and excellent job as always... 💯
Hold-upppp, what is this SDDN??? I know the ol NSv3's are straight monsters so if these things are going to even come close to or be similar to those then I am innnn for sure!!!
Tremendous subs, absolutely beasts. But one question, why dont the newer woofers have the pole venting in the center as the old ones? Seems like a great feature to keep, not remove.
Question, why isn't there a center pole vent on the new version and what advantage is there by not having a pole vent? Just curious on the difference. Thanks!!!
To me it looks a like it is the same motor but difwrwntly designed just, the tallnes looks the same but upper part looks different more inside curved where on zv6 is flat all round, meybe for better cooling, I found it is 10mm wider ir 1cm, but since it is upper curved to me that 10mm extra widh is becouse of .3inch bigger voice coil just so they need to keep it cool when pushing hard, and they gained that "extra 500w" on sddn compared to zv6, on my oppinion i was fisrtly sad that they Will just make 500 of those but looking as u at motor to me it looks the same so zv6 at good box Will in my opinion take same amplifier as sddn just becouse it is 3 inch vc it Will lets asume produce that 500w less power and if u hook up same amp to both subs sddn and zv6 just look that u got good cooling or lets say great box design for zv6 thats it in my opinion, only difference .3 inch vc and red cone, u can get from some dealers custom zv6 with red cone if it is called that way and extra spiders just keep that 3 inch vc cool
Sundown DeezNutz... I'm not kidding, that's what it stands for, look it up. They specially made them for a guy called Deez Nuts then decided to sell them
Ehh...the end consumer eats the cost increase, but there is no "real world" gains from doing it. It doesn't make it louder, or really increase power handling. For such a price jump, it's negligible on performance for the buyer.
Kicker took sooo long to come out with the solo x, claiming to have sooo much x max, and in there specs its only 31mm Linear one way. Thats good, but sundown has 35mm on many, and maybe 40mm on the zv6s?
The shit I don’t get is with sundown existing why people still waste there money on jl and the other main stream brands that don’t even handle as much power
because its not always about power... and also, those other brands have been designing subs for years.. they sound better in clarity accuracy etc... i use vintage boston acoustic pro series car subs in my home system... they sound so clean and crisp.. if i ever changed them up, id probably go with alpine type R 2's... this is coming from a sundown fanboy... im rockin 2 sundown U series 15s in my 4runner now... back in the days, car audio equipment resembled home audio and pro audio more... when the small box-high excursion subs came out, spl car audio went its own direction... wind.. now you have these massive subs like sundown, etc.. the older brands stayed more traditional in the ballpark of sound quality
I doubt it. Probably more like a zv5. The motor is bigger but the force would be lower due to bigger coil. It will take a lot more power but doesn’t make more force.
All Sundown products are awesome, but that SDDN is just a huge step above! Just wait until we see the Zv.7! 😅❤
SDDN just a pissoff to recent buyer of a zv6, basically a slap in the face, especially since their limited production
Care to elaborate, or are you just talking shit?😂 You can't just drop a comment like that and offer no evidence! Where's the proof?
👀👀🍿🤣🤣

looks like my next build is the new SDDN right on sundown I love the competition yall got going with deaf bonce!
I love it anytime you drop a video bro
Nsv3 was my favorite subwoofer but seeing that SDDN...god damn i want 2 so bad now.
Very nice I still like the old look of the night shade 3. But sddn is nice to. Great job sundown
The Nsv3 had a power handing of "2500" RMS not 2k, great video though love seeing the comparison
If I didn't need 4, I'd probably grabs some. Just too much money to drop down for 4 tho. Absolutely love em tho!
I think that I would love to have four of them in my Scion xB build that I’m working on right now
You guys should send me a set to bang in my 18 wheeler across the Country. I only have 2 of your 12's. But I love these sundowns.
Wonder how it will compare to new FI audio ones price vs price performance vs performance
Beautiful 👍👍

Dope. Beasts.
Thiele parameters matter, I run the zv6 love em, also, I want your shirt !! 😂
I need it in my house
I like the two different colors to like the contrast better on the older one
Any info on the nsv6
There nice!!
very curious to hear how the SDDNs compare to a compact neo in thiele parameters and BL factor.
I concur
Tremendous subs, absolutely beasts. But one question, why dont the newer woofers have the pole venting in the center as the old ones? Seems like a great feature to keep, not remove.
Same
What is the difference between the nsv6 and the Zv6?? I can’t decide on one.
Both badass regardless! 👍🏼
Time for you to start making rebass music for this sub 😊
@@3yearsago287
I already have tons of bass tracks to exercise these subs. 👍🏻
Nice. Whats the sddn going for
Something about that black color on the Nsv3 that makes it look so sexy. I just feel the sexiest subwoofer Sundown has ever made is the Nsv3
Beast. You guys ever talked about doing loaded enclosures?
Is the SDDN going to be a limited run or will this be going into production
💀 monsters, nice equipment 👍 .
Question, why isn't there a center pole vent on the new version and what advantage is there by not having a pole vent? Just curious on the difference. Thanks!!!
@HM_333
S P A M UR S#%T ELSEWHERE😈
Where can you order one of these?
Fun, fun thx.
Tourture test and im sold
i love sundown
I wonder how it will perform against Resilient Sounds Team 15 ?
I'd like to sit in a ride that has a couple of those beefy units well powered. Wow.
Yes
Pauly shore, nice comparison video. We want to see them performing, wheezing the juice.
@jarod fagan Pauly shore??
Awesome unofficial Nightshade v.3 tribute sub.
I currently have the V.3 18’s and love them. Where can I find the parameters for the NSv.3 18?
I can’t find them either, I got 2 nsv3 18s
Well damn, look at those subs
Nightshade v3 my favorita all time
What’s the max power for the SDDN ??? And what’s the price?
Cool
Boom.
hope those monsters reach the philippines....luv this and the construction.....the monstrosity!!!!
I have 2 12 sundown DB2 and you can barely hear them outside the car. I have a JP 2300 W amp pushing them I don’t know what to do.
The bigger the box the bigger the boom
I need 4 please!!
Nsv3 has a flat would 4 layer coil that isn't true d1 and true d2Ω. Zv6 uses a flat wound 8 layer true d1 and true d2 coil.
I still prefer the NSv.3. More esthetic looking top and back plate in black. SDDN looks like a bigger upgraded version of a Zv.6
Woo
Can you bring back the TEAMs now lol
Ohhhh I can't wait to see you spankin that baby proper!!! Please do an ol fashioned Jeep SPL test like the old "go-till-she-blows" style vids!
Now it's time for an excursion match 🗿
How wide Is that motor?
It looks like it might be an inch wider than the zv6, but that could be because the ZV6 maybe has a taller motor?
Would you guys pick the sddn over the nsv6?
Of course, it has more power 💯
👍👍
I think it's fkn great that Jake sold the biz and he gets to focus on design...let the dogs loose..sick em Jake.
So its basically a NS v3.5?
Super nice subs man!! Wish I could afford them but my wife smokes a shit tin of weed and dispensaries are everywhere here
I literally busted out laughing when I read this 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@That One Guy lol!!
That's what she said!
Wow
😍😍😍😍😍
There is nothing wrong with imitation, it's the highest form of flattery...The consumer wins!
Why not just release the Team subs again..Kind of a confusing subwoofer.
Who winds the coils for sundown audio?
Most likely Precision Econowind
@@Widowmaker2828 thank you
And Po Yun
@@Chuck_Sanders what?

SDDN is dope is Fuck! Alright dude,This is from Texas, have a blessed day
Are these made here in the United States?
"Assembled"
What is the FS/frequency response?
Fs doesn't determine how low they will play and frequency response is down to the enclosure
@@puresesh7985, you build the enclosure to match the frequency response.
@@62dobie wrong. The box can change the response to whatever you want it to be within reason.
@@puresesh7985, yes. 6db up or down. That is why knowing the frequency response of the sub is important. To build a proper enclosure.
@@puresesh7985, you don't want to build an enclosure of 29hz if the frequency response is 42hz.
That coil looks way more than just 5/16" bigger.... Looks like at least a 3.5" coil
What is sddn
So the difference is motor force and a wider diameter, either way both monsters
