Hi Rahdo, First time commenting on one of your videos. Just wanted to say thanks for making these. I've now bought 2 games because of your reviews (Tzolk'in and Shakespeare). Tzolk'in is now my favorite game!
Beautiful artwork, and I really appreciate how well-designed the insert is. I like that the game puts away and sets up so quickly, means it gets more plays! As an aside, great idea to go through the deck and weed out the unfun cards, going to do that tonight. :)
Leave the cards on the table while you talk about them, because when you pick them up I try to read them while you are shaking them (headache) otherwise fantastic
Just a great video to help new players learn the game. I recently bought it and it seemed really conplex to me, now after this video, I know the basics and feel like I'm ready to play :)
I finally picked this game up. I love dice dice games in general and custom dice specifically and this game has some awesome dice. Anyway, the wife & I are like you and don't care for "mean-ness" in games so we went through the cards and removed the ones we felt we wouldn't like. I'm happy to say that the game played quite well. Thanks for another well informed runthrough. You're bankrupting me!
Maybe its just me, but i find it incredibly frustrating that "Wind" and the "fall/autumn" season is red, while "Fire" and the season of "summer" is yellow... That seems so backwards to me and such an simple design flaw, I dont see any rationale as to why it is that way. Other than that, the game looks great, i just ordered it a couple days ago and cant wait to play.
Played the game for the first time recently and I enjoyed it. Helps for new players to go through the deck of cards in the beginning to see what might be used by/against you. Things I didn't like were the scoreboard "art" which was lacking and the number of small cubes used to track things could very very easily get knocked about causing mass confusion (which happened to us while playing as we had to move the board and everything to make room for other gamers at the store). Other than that it seemed original and inventive. Never played anything like it.
Great walk though of the game. I find you speaking of 'Jen' a little confusing as I was wondering where this person was up until you started playing where I realised this person didn't exist... Why not just 'Player 2'? It would be less confusing.
sorry you'll have to help me out... could you describe the situation a bit more? was there some card Jen had in play to allow for that? thanks in advance! :)
If I'm not mistaken, you had a card that allowed you to get a free energy token if you got 1 or less in your supply. It seemed to me that you had just 1, so you were alegible to get another one. Or am I wrong?
watched many many vids of you now & I think you'd have double the views if you actually had a second player playing and explaining with you. nevertheless u do an amazing job! keep it up.
That's odd, my Balance of Ishtar costs 2 crystals, and let's you discard 3 energy for 9 crystals and yours costs 6 crystals and let's you discard 4 energy for 12 crystals (shown at 2:18).
Pretty funny that in some videos you will criticize the designers for saying a game lasts 4 turns (instead of 4 years or 4 months, etc.) but here you just can't accept the fact they call points, crystals. You're contradicting yourself. :)
I wanted to learn how this game works, and while I believe you give out a good playthrough, if you could please stop shaking the cards or the camera when explaining stuff that would make it much easier to focus on what you are doing. I developed a headache trying to watch this video.
yup, but it's a pretty benign word in england (like calling someone a dick), where i had just lived for almost a decade at the time of filming this. since then though it's falled out of y regular vocabulary :)
It’s funny to see how much Rahdo has chilled out over the years, the neurotic energy in this vid is cranked to 11! 😂
Hey rahdo!
Just leaving a message because I wanted to thank you for all your help on deciding on what boards games to buy!!! Keep up the hard work!

Love your runthroughs as always. The next Seasons expansion needs a "Karen the Destroyer" card.
Love the "ahhh!" when you remember or discover something. Reminds me of Jeff Goldblum for some reason. Thanks for the videos!

good point! maybe it's a french thing?
I noticed the same, but I've learned to ignore it. It is a little goofy.
+Ae6KaRBoN I don't know, for me it feels kinda natural (red as the autumn leaves, yellow as the summer's sun)
but maybe it's just me...
Summer is yellow like he sun. In Autumn the leaves turn into red.

Richard you had so much more energy in this review lol
This game is great! It’s fun and is a great way to recruit MTG or other CCG players into board games
Great walk though of the game. I find you speaking of 'Jen' a little confusing as I was wondering where this person was up until you started playing where I realised this person didn't exist... Why not just 'Player 2'? It would be less confusing.
just habit. i always refer to playing with my wife Jen in every video i do. :)
+rahdo I actually thought it was your alter ego :P
Most addictive game I own! Seasons rules!
Love the videos, man.
It felt like I was watching this video at x1.25 speed 😂
The game looks really nice/fun though!
Hello, again.
What about the free energy token you should get at the end of the turn around 35 minutes?
sorry you'll have to help me out... could you describe the situation a bit more? was there some card Jen had in play to allow for that? thanks in advance! :)

Antonio José Corrêa You are right... note added... thanks
+Paulo Renato shame of that is he could have gotten "Kairn" out on the next turn right away.
Does Jen have a shop on Etsy or a similar website where she sells those glass tokens?
onebignerd yes. he has posted the link before. I will try to find it
When Jen played the potion of water, you forgot the cauldron! You didn't have to transmute...
Neil Blaiberg No, he said Total Wanker! lol, made my ears stand up too! ;-)
watched many many vids of you now & I think you'd have double the views if you actually had a second player playing and explaining with you. nevertheless u do an amazing job! keep it up.
Wiets18 I volunteer as tribute. lol
You can pause youtube videos and after you've read them, you can resume.
That's odd, my Balance of Ishtar costs 2 crystals, and let's you discard 3 energy for 9 crystals and yours costs 6 crystals and let's you discard 4 energy for 12 crystals (shown at 2:18).
I’ve never heard anyone call a card “a wanker” before 😂😂
Pretty funny that in some videos you will criticize the designers for saying a game lasts 4 turns (instead of 4 years or 4 months, etc.) but here you just can't accept the fact they call points, crystals. You're contradicting yourself. :)
To use a cliche; this is MTG+draft+eurogame=Seasons!
I wanted to learn how this game works, and while I believe you give out a good playthrough, if you could please stop shaking the cards or the camera when explaining stuff that would make it much easier to focus on what you are doing. I developed a headache trying to watch this video.
Can't believe you used the word wanker. Do you know what that means!!!
yup, but it's a pretty benign word in england (like calling someone a dick), where i had just lived for almost a decade at the time of filming this. since then though it's falled out of y regular vocabulary :)
This guy is taking the "Your right hand is your gf" thing a little far
okay I srsly thought this was sims seasons
Did you just say wanker? Sounds odd with the American accent!
