I've been to the falls several times and would like to get there one more time in my lifetime. Have been there both winter and summer. Still somethings I haven't done there yet and would love to get my granddaughter there and spend a few days. Motels away from the falls but in Niagara Falls are quite reasonable.

Me and friends went to Niagara Falls for years in the early 90s till around 2000 . It was a fun getaway, before the border stared being like a military checkpoint ( American side ) . But until the. It was fun

I was told my aunt Tina taking me there . I hope there is Treasure I can find and keep . I’m from and born in Georgia and I never ever seen the rest of my family not even visit my family’s home for 29 years it’s my first time .im leaving Georgia next week July 13 but I need to get plan things . I’ll be painting sence I’m brining my easel and canvas but I’ll be biting maybe a new easel for in and outside and portable, but I will be buying paints in Canada sence. As a French canaidian American indigenous Métis and Jamaican I will also be getting my citizenship in Canada sence my family is born there 8:01

I've been to Niagara Falls, New York but not Ontario. As a patriotic American it pains me to say this, but Niagara Falls New York is a pit. Now that the old tunnels on the Ontario side have opened up, and since you can cross the border with a "Real ID", I'm planning a trip to Ontario.
Niagara Falls NY is a dumpster fire highly recommend just staying on the Canada side
Clifton Hill is the trashiest part of Niagara Falls. Totally an urban blight best avoided.
Battle of Lundy's Lane occurred in 1814 in Niagara Falls. Most of the battlefield has been built over but the high ground is still there.
Lots of other places to see quite close to Niagara Falls as well.
❣Best time to go watch the Falls DAY or NIGHT? What time do the FALLS close? And.. is it HANDICAP ASSEMBLE?? Can grandma go??
Obviously the falls themselves don't close, different attractions close at different times and some places from which you can view the falls don't close. Most of the attractions are handicapped accessible. As to your grandma, well, my mom is 91, and I wouldn't hesitate to take her if she wanted to go.

Marriott and Embassy suites
Embassy Suites! No doubt has the best view; when you book there try to choose the Premium Falls View (view of both of the Falls: Canadian and American).
Embassy is my favorite hotel down here:))

More things to see and do on the Canadian side. Like a small Times Square and small Coney Island. The neighborhoods surrounding the falls on both sides don’t appear to be very safe. Reminds me a lot of Atlantic City. Seems that all the proceeds line the politicians pockets and nothing goes to the community (and I’m sure they were promised the exact opposite). I would suggest bringing your own food or keep it simple (hamburgers/hot dogs). All the restaurants and buffets advertise “authentic home cooking”. There is nothing authentic about the food on either side of the border. These are all tourist spots. Wife and I visited “mama mias “ Italian restaurant. We would swear it was Costco’s frozen meatballs and chicken cutlets. Reminded us of Venice. City was amazing. Food was not so great and it doesn’t have to be because they know you’re here today gone tomorrow.
How to go tourist
Just came back from a day trip to NF Canada. Honestly, pick two activities to do at the falls, and no to the rest. We did the tunnel walk underneath the falls. No time limit there. Just some manners about monopolizing photo-op areas. We then did the boat trip. Exhilarating. Consider the prices as a once in a lifetime day. If you choose to do more, it is all money grabbing things, and you should just open up your wallet and let the bills hit the floor. You will feel like you did enough after two touristy events. It takes a whole day. Everything is a patient lineup, unless you are American. The rudeness was based on seeing: being too good to wait for the washrooms, barging past others in lineups to go to the front, hogging one of 3 hand dryers to dry an f’n jacket in restrooms, and american middle school tying up everything in the tunnels and there were just 37 of them. The tunnel screaming was not appreciated. BTW, Your clothing dries out within 15 mins in the sun. You will encounter other visitors from around the world, it’s awesome. For the asking, others will take your camera for the polite asking and take pics for you, with you in it. They’re also happy when you approach and offer to take theirs. Expect a long wait after ordering a $35 lunch for two, it’s part of the experience. The community was built around it for tourism, and a bit of it’s newer bldgs, and part of the area is dumpy. We drove around, didn’t stop anywhere. Made a short drive to Niagara On The Lake to have dinner. Avoid the hard-to-find parking spots, as it’s $5.50/hr for parking til 6:00 p.m.. Go to The Old Winery Restaurant a few mins away. We weren’t going to stop as we got there near opening, and the parking lot was empty. Don’t go by that. Their food is great, and many people arrive to eat later as we were about to leave.
Forgot to mention, going from Niagara Falls to Niagara On The Lake, you also drive by Laura Secords home, if that’s your thing. And you also have a chance to stop at all the famous Cdn wineries along the way. Very quaint.

I had family that went to Niagara Falls last weekend and said never again. I'm sorry to say that they said all you could smell was indian food to the point of feeling sick and that Clifton hill was full of Indians that they out numbers us. And all Indian restaurants.
We give them everything but Niagara Falls was a Canadian Tressure now we can't even enjoy it. No more Imagrents let's get rid of Justin once and for all
Niagara falls has been considered the worst tourist traps in 2023 by and international survey released in Marsh 2023 ... i am Canadian and there is nothing to see in Niagara falls .... the city is like a tacky Vegas style ...
