It's always hard to get rid of things that u no u had good memories while growing up.
Lyndon your accompanying music is really awesome...this demolition brought tears to my heart...and I'm a stranger...sigh..
It’s sad to see your old home go
This house must hold treasure chests of history "Inside Caura".
Yes, and unfortunately I never explored it to the fullest.
Lyndon I agree with you. It was not a good idea to demolish such a strong house
The family is huge and it would have made sense for all those who own it currently to restore it. Sana would have done a fantastic job renovating it.
The furniture, flooring etc could have been restored.
After restoration it could have been rented out to a member of the Baptiste family.
We have beautiful houses in Trinidad worth preserving but we only think that those around the savannah are worth the effort
Generations of the Baptiste family to come will drive past the land where the house stood and wonder why it was demolished.
After leaving Trinidad 55 years ago, I can still drive past the house that my father built 75 years ago. I would buy it back if the current owner is willing to sell It was one of the first concrete houses that was built in that part of Tacarigua.
I noticed the edited UFO in one of the scenes when your dad's talking.... I laughed.... This video makes me remember when My dad and Uncles demolished my grandparents' tapia house some years ago for the same reason....
It's especially painful if you project yourself into the future and imagine your grandkids breaking down your house because it's necessary. What UFO are you talking about? :P
Nice to see uncle Lance!!!!
Loved this video
Thanks!
The memories 🙏
Hey Lindon , I'm looking at that house, and it looks so familiar exactly where the house was? If family members would have occupied it, it would have been strong, and clean .
Caura Royal Road, not far from the hospital.
How much did it cost to demolish? Who provided the service?
I'll get the number from my dad. In the interim you can message me on WhatsApp so I can send you the contact details when I get it. See video description for my contact info.
