Dashy actually no, from the characters instagrams its clear that husk was already in the hotel when angel invited people to come, but nobody came, this happens after the pilot, maybe not the crying in the bed and the reflection in the mirror but still
and this is the REAL worse thing: this isn't stuff from their mortal lives. this is stuff from their time in hell.

Since angel and cherry knew each other for a long time and angel was living in the hotel for some time before the pilot too,
I'd say it's very possible for this stuff to happen pre pilot.
But then again he's still not out of that situation so it would certainly fit post pilot as well.
It could be either, tbh. Since Angel did invite the hotel residents to one of his show, and it's implied that none of them showed up, it's possible that this was that show and that's why he is mad at Charlie. Then again, it coud be the past, because yes, Cherri and Angel did know each other for a long time, sooo...

(2) If read the comic the dude with the heart glasses is name Valentino and he is Angel abusive Boss.
(3) Cherri bomb isn’t blowing up random buildings she actually blowing up Valentino district to get revenge for her best friend Angel
(4) Sadly the part when Angel was dancing with Cherri and blew up the strip club was in his head (i think) because there is a quick sign saying “this was all a dream.”
also you know how Alastor is the only damned soul who uses his True Name instead of a nickname? well, Angel Dust's True Name is Anthony. You know, the patron saint of finding the lost? and what IS redemption, again? finding the lost.

I feel like Cherri and Angel dancing together was real and she just wanted to let him have fun doing what he wants without getting assaulted.
But the connection with Charlotte's Web is just 👏
Angel is still in this horrible situation, all of this takes place in hell. He still works for Valentino, and the whole music video take place after or at least during the pilot. Cherri has more back story that we have yet to learn, but that stuff at the beginning is her being there for Angie any way.
Its probably an combination of past and present possibly even a future that they both want

The slightly hysterical look on his face when he sings that part is one of my *favorite* parts of the mv, so good
I'm thinking because it's their first time watching this and they didn't even know what the song was going to be about yet. During a first viewing it's easy to miss details like that because you want to get the bigger picture first, and then on a re-watch it is easier to spot things like this.

The story told behind the song is a prequel to the main series.
Angel gets assaulted by his boss and confides in Cherri who goes on a rampage is Angel's boss's territory.
This song basically explains the line in the pilot "I owed my girl-buddy a solid."

After seeing that video a few times I just noticed angel is a spider and has a pet pig... charlotte's web.
I think it had more to do with the fact that Angel Dust and Hog are both names for PCP
and he's staying at a hotel owned by someone named charlie.

It's not really a backstory comic, it's more of a prequel. His backstory is still rather vague, but I can't wait until it's explored more.

- he was a mobster in 1940s italy
- his True Name is Anthony, after the patron saint of finding the lost
- he has a sister
- the cause of death was braindeath by overdose. his nickname is the drug that killed him
- he'll try to act more appropriate when around kids, but will still curse, and might not pay attention to where he is going while looking for their parents
- cherri is the only person he trusts in the slightest
- the original idea was for cherri to be his sister, but the idea was scrapped. and she was redesigned to be a close friend of his.
what we know about cherry:
- her death involved being betrayed by someone she cared about
- she lived in australia when she was alive
- she's an anarchist
- thats about it

Apparently, Alastor was originally a deer who was hit by a car...hence his cloven feet & horns.
But this got re-worked into Alastor being a New Orleans serial killer...who just so happened to be a radio personality.
His new canon death is that he was shot between the eyes: in some shots you can see a tiny red X on his brow.
@@ferenczliszt Pretty sure his canon death is getting killed by hunting dogs, which is why he's a deer demon. Because the dogs were looking for deer.
And he was and still is a cannibal who loves venison.
The way I heard it, he was a serial killer who hid the remains of his victims(that he didn't eat, since he's also apparently a cannibal) in the woods, but died when he got shot by a hunter who thought he was a deer.
I think he was shot by a hunter while hiding a body that he had eaten part of, after being mistaken for a deer, but miraculously survived and the hunter's dogs mauled him to death, hence the X on his head and the strong dislike of doggos.
That sympathetic "ooooo" at 1:23 ... i felt that 😔

At 4:19 you can briefly see a sign stating that the entire explosion scene is just a dream
Unfortunately, they didn't actually blow the club up. As they're running out, there's a sign that stats "It was all a dream". Angel _wants_ to blow it all up, but Val would come after both him and Cherri if he did that. Though, if he ever would trust Charlie enough to confide in her, she probably has the money to buy him out from under Val's thumb, or just have the raw power to get him out, seeing as she is the Princess of Hell, plus if she can get Alasor's help too. And if Cherri gains enough power through her turf war she would be able to help too. The odds are good at getting Angel away from it all.

Around 4:19, if you pause the video before Angel and Cherri leave the building, you can see a sign that says, “It was all a Dream” implying that the entire thing with Cherri destroying the Industry was Angel’s imagination and way to cope.

This is has only been the 3rd reaction that recongizes the very dark themes in this song. I've scene around 10 reactions .....one of them only made a face.

there is still this catchy upbeat musoc under it and after the sad bits they kinda seem to forget the dark themes in this video and depict sex as empowering

That'd be interesting...notice, how each character's own songs are reflective of their life / personal style: Charlie's music teeters between ballad & broadway musical...Alastor is a throwback, jazzy style...Angel Dust has club music.
Given Vaggie's attitude, I'm thinking hers would be rock / punk...perhaps a dash of "Evanescence".

The song was out a few months before this came out and I love it so much after hearing it. I didn’t know this music video was coming out till I saw a few shots, and I didn’t even know if it was official. Though I am so happy to see this.

I absolutely love the way Silva Hound incorporates unexpected silences in his pieces.
I think he started this as a fan work. I know Michael Kovach asked permission to sing in it. Chi Chi isn't a Vivziepop employee so I don't know how that worked out, but apparently Vivzie liked it immensely, so much that she made it canon, complete with animation.
Just a quick side note that there are cannon prequel comics you can find online for angel dust and the radio demon

They were able to show a few sneak peaks at upcoming episodes and characters in one of their streams a few weeks ago along with having some of the voice actors (Including Brock Baker and Invader Zim himself) talk about the show. When this came out so many people were excited for it, especially that post credit scene.
Even though it wasn't alot it gave some much needed content to Hazbin Hotel. Which is currently content starved. Oo.

If you slow down the flashing images of Cherri and Angel in bed, it's Cherri trying to help Angel, while Angel is crying in obvious pain.
Now, I haven't looked into much info about the characters past the actual Pilot, since I didn't even know it existed until the Pilot got released. So seeing this animation was a incredibly fascinating. In the Pilot, it just seems like Angel is a reckless, eccentric person who isn't really concerned about the consequences of his actions, while having a bit of a soft side for Charlie (that we only really get a glimpse of when he tries to make a joke and she doesn't respond). This though... this shows it's *all* front. His behavior is all to hide the pain he actually feels.
Meanwhile, in the Pilot Cherri just seems like the kind of person who's just here to see things explode, but while she obviously enjoys destroying things, she almost seems to use it to destroy the things that hurt not just her, but Angel. She really just wants her friend to be happy, and even uses her destructive nature to destroy the things that hurt him, like the ADDICT sign and the club.
We don't get to see any of this from Cherri OR Angel in the Pilot... like, don't get me wrong, I really liked the pilot, but man... this was far more impactful than the pilot was. This is the kind of story I'd be interested in seeing... especially considering they seemed to only give the adult rating to it so they could curse and use gore.
Now, to be fair, it's only the pilot, so they probably have more planned in the future, but you get my points, right?

I’m getting a little annoyed that none of the reactions I’ve seen so far address that Angel was sexual assaulted. I know it’s a hard subject to address but it can’t just be because they don’t notice right? Like I’m not complaining that he was. It’s part of his story and who he is. I just wish people would stop ignoring it. Like just be mature when you talk about it is all.
This is a a fair comment, and not something we didn't notice or ignored. We talked about it after the recording was done. As one of us has experienced sexual assault it wasn't something we wanted to go into on camera as it's not something we've spoke about publicly before and didn't seem to be the right space to talk about it for the first time.
I totally appreciate why that would come across as ignoring the issue but that wasn't our intention.

Michael (AngelDust's voice) here has been blatantly auto-tuned but only in the higher registers, and the song was designed to compliment the autotuning. But yeah I guess this was the answer to all the fans on AshleyNichole Arts wanting the characters to sing, amirite?

There are a two types of reaction youtubers.
1) those who are really good and add to the content through theories. They often dont have to play the original content in one go but instead pause and point out unique details.
2) those who awkwardly sit there mumbling to themselves while the video plays. They dont add much, at most they'll compliment parts but they never add anything to the video.
