In the flashes near the beginning with Cherri and Angel, we see that Cherri isn't the best at comforting and just lays there so Angel can feel like he has someone on his side. But with the rest of the video, we see Cherri destroying Val's billboard/picture and a club that Angel danced at (which likely also belonged to Val). Cherri and Angel's friendship is realistic. Cherri loves her friend but she's in Hell; she doesn't know how to help when people are down. But she can help make them feel better by inadvertently pissing off an overlord and that really does make Angel happier. I also love that we see that Angel's fine with pole dancing. He just doesn't like what happens around it. I think that would lead to Val wanting to be harsher with Angie because he knows that if Angel went off on his own, people would likely flock to him and lose business for Val.
sadly, no: she likely helped him get some cathartic revenge by blowing up one hhis clubs, but the pilot shows Val messaging Angel Dust so Angel is still working for Val, and I'm pretty sure it's been confirmed somewhere that val's gonna be one of the major villains of the show proper, below Vox most likely

theory: The glowing smoke seems to control angel in some way, first he was not happy and talking about having overdose, but then the smoke raps around his neck and becomes a hand calling angel back to Val, angel starts smiling and says "I dont give a damn", and then ehen he inhales the drug is almost like he loses control of his body and then starts "sexualizing" on the floor wille the flashbacks of him and cherri apeer, then he apeers in the hotel smoking that same red glowing drug. Maybe thats how valentino's overlord powers work! Controlling the people who work in the studio with sometype of suducing hipnotic drug, it makes me think that he might be the sin of lust embodyed in hell.... overlords representing sins... something interesting to think about 🤔 Of course it could be just symbolism, but just throwing it out there
It's been said that Valentino is physically the weakest overlord in Hell. He doesn't have physical strength to force things the same way say Alastor does. Valentino apparently has his "charm". But what I've seen him... he doesn't seem charming. He seems sleazy. So I am pretty sure the red smoke is his real charm. Some kinda drug of pleasure that he clearly control. Angel and probably others are addicted to that drug and by extend, Valentino. He does run the porn industry in Hell. Makes sense he would control his subjects with pleasurable drug

Angel is by far my favorite character on the show. Even from the beginning, I KNEW he was going to be a deep and well-developed character, like when he pushes Cherri away in the pilot and gets a hit instead of her, or when he raises a hand to comfort Charlie, but he hesitates and gives up on the idea. I heavily feel like this whole "sexy beast" is mostly a persona he puts up to hide all his insecurities. All his fame as a "porn actor" and a "sexy spider" is all false, this is not his true self, it's a facade he didn't ask for.
I liked this one a lot because it showed us a deeper relationship between Cherri and Angel which wasn't really shown in the pilot. Cherri casually says that she thought Angel just died. This gives the audience the impression that while the two may be friends they don't have a very deep or caring connection with one another. However this video shows that they do have a much deeper connection. With this new video in mind I would say it might have been possible that she may have been way more worried about Angel than she let on.
I mean they do hint to us in the pilot episode how deep their friendship really is, when one of the egg minions was about to shoot Cherri and Angel saw and pushed her out of the way in time. That along with Fat Nuggets and the time he nearly comforted Charlie when she was genuinely sad but couldn't because he doesn't know how shows his ability to care for other people, he just doesn't know how to show it

He might also have some kind of mind control ability but I doubt he's got anything on Alastor, who based on Vaggie's description is easily the most powerful mortal soul in hell. I don't know how many of the overlord's are born demons but I'd be surprised if Alastor wasn't at least one of the strongest overlords. Then again most of my information on Val mainly comes from other comments so grain of salt. Vaggie said that Alastor toppled multiple overlords that had been dominant for centuries so we can at least confirm that weaker than average overlords wouldn't have much chance against him.
I think when he says “maybe things wont be so terrible inside this hotel” its cause that is his only place where he is not being abused by val along with this home cause the way i see it val uses him as a se* toy and money and i think hes addicted to drugs so it distracts him from everything that val makes him do And then cherri tries to help him with all this by comforting him or when she says “come if you’re feeling brave” is that he will be brave to disobey val but hes also scared that val will kill him maybe? I like this video for many reasons. It gives us more insight to what Angel does on a daily basis, the person he works for (Valentino) & what he has to deal with in his line of work. It also gives us a little bit of info on how Angel died as well, when he sings ‘despite having overdosed, and ended up comatose’. Not to mention the little flashes in the beginning of Cherri comforting Angel as he cried on a bed, showing how they are true friends that’ll go through thick and thin to help one another out. What happens in the video between Angel & Valentino could point out that maybe deep down, Angel does want to reform in the Hotel and become a better person; and if not that, then maybe he’s there because the Hotel provides Angel as a safe place for him to hide and not be near Valentino. But most importantly, this made us see Angel as not a bad person who is doing his job for money just because, it’s just he has nothing better to do and is just misunderstood. P.S. The pig demon that was with Angel in the end is named Fat Nuggets btw

Definitely one of the few reactions I've seen to this so far where the reactor was so keyed in to the small traumatic details and truly appreciated them. And probably the only one that attentive that, far as I could tell, hadn't already heard the song prior. 100% earned upvote =)
Well, Vaggie's not awful. Neither is Angel. Charlie isn't either, which is really surprising because she literally grew up there yet hasn't reflected it at all outside her calling Katie a bitch and telling Alastor he's sketchy as fuck. Yeah, most people in Hell are probably going to be terrible, horrible people; but, it's already shown that some aren't. Some of their attitudes, like Angel's "no fucks given" and social withdrawal as well as Vaggie's "I take shit from no one" default, are likely that way out of necessity so they can survive in Hell's harsh environment. I don't think anyone's forgetting where HH is set. It's more that we've been shown a cast of characters that aren't inherently awful (Alastor being up in the air; we all know he's got something planned), so the ones that are genuinely horrendous like Valentino are naturally going to receive more hate.
@TerribleReputation Studios I am aware Charlie was born in Hell. That's why her being the way she is is a surprise. People raised in harsh/toxic environments like that tend to reflect that, but all Charlie has done is the occasional curse word and a brawl on live TV. But, my argument wasn't about how or why the characters are in Hell; it's that despite being Hell, they're not absolute trash. Angel Dust outright shows that he feels bad for what happened with the interview and even seems to have hope for the hotel if Addict is canon while Vaggie genuinely loves and cares about Charlie and her ambitions. Valentino is one of those demons that was made to be hated; probably not as much as he is, but he was made to be blatantly and undeniably antagonistic.

It's confirmed that Valentino (the demon who was abusing Angel in the video) is an overlord of lust who frequently sexually assaults/abuses his henchmen/performers. It's commonly speculated that the red smoke he blew at Angel at the beginning is a metapbor for his control over Angel Dust. I agree with this speculation, as the song is about the struggles of addiction and all it's facets. From not giving a damn about the shitty parts of it so long as you can reach that next high and forget your struggles, to knowing that it won't replace the pain or stress or whatever it is you're trying to escape from. The worst part is being aware of what happens to you while you are drugged, if you're unlucky enough to be that lucid. It's clear that Angel Dust DOES have flashbacks from when he was drugged and raped consistently by Valentino, and it haunts him. It's why his redemption is so hard. He needs to heal from that pain in order to let go of his dependency on drugs, but he can't. That's not easy to do, especially when his abuser is still out there, at large, hurting more people. Theres a line in the end "theres another rush of poison that resides by the pain." Or something like that that makes it crystal clear how being addicted to drugs doesn't ever replace the original reason why you turn to drugs in the first place, it only acts as a temporary distraction. Thats why going down that rabbit hole is particularly dangerous because as soon as you become dependant on that rush to make you feel like you can cope with life/abuse/whatever. Even doing drugs "safely," you build up a tolerance and it doesn't hit you as hard. So, you start chasing down more and more dangerous risks to feel that original fake happiness again. By that point, it's easier to shoot up and hop on another high than it is to face your problems. Not many are strong enough to climb out of that hole on their own once they've fallen in. This is what killed Angel Dust in the first place, and he still hasn't learned because he hasn't had any true friends to guide him. Cherri has done leagues to help him escape the source of his dependency, (blowing up the club that I can speculate belonged to Valentino which acted as Angel Dust's prison.) I would take it a step further and speculate that Cherri was making a move to become a new overlord in the area to create a safe place for Angel. He could then change allegiances to be under her protection.
Sexual Assault, Abuse and Drug. Angel says he's addicted to the sorrow and pain he felt but want to take himself away from it, but its a struggle given his stubborn nature. Also Subtle Depression
If you dont know their relationship is basically they both want to let lose and have fun. They strive for self confidence and just living life to the fullest. It took me about 100 watches but I just noticed at 7:28 after he gets the traumatic flashback, he looks at the cigarette with the red Valentino smoke and gets mad at it and throws it. I already had thoughts that the Valentino smoke was more than just a metaphor but now I feel like it's important. Angel is by far my favorite character on the show.
Even from the beginning, I KNEW he was going to be a deep and well-developed character, like when he pushes Cherri away in the pilot and gets a hit instead of her, or when he raises a hand to comfort Charlie, but he hesitates and gives up on the idea. I heavily feel like this whole "sexy beast" is mostly a persona he puts up to hide all his insecurities. All his fame as a "porn actor" and a "sexy spider" is all false, this is not his true self, it's a facade he didn't ask for.
I liked this one a lot because it showed us a deeper relationship between Cherri and Angel which wasn't really shown in the pilot. Cherri casually says that she thought Angel just died. This gives the audience the impression that while the two may be friends they don't have a very deep or caring connection with one another. However this video shows that they do have a much deeper connection. With this new video in mind I would say it might have been possible that she may have been way more worried about Angel than she let on.
I mean they do hint to us in the pilot episode how deep their friendship really is, when one of the egg minions was about to shoot Cherri and Angel saw and pushed her out of the way in time. That along with Fat Nuggets and the time he nearly comforted Charlie when she was genuinely sad but couldn't because he doesn't know how shows his ability to care for other people, he just doesn't know how to show it
You know, you're the first person I've watched to catch that the warning mentioned sexual assault. Others just brushed it off as "the usual thing"

He might also have some kind of mind control ability but I doubt he's got anything on Alastor, who based on Vaggie's description is easily the most powerful mortal soul in hell. I don't know how many of the overlord's are born demons but I'd be surprised if Alastor wasn't at least one of the strongest overlords. Then again most of my information on Val mainly comes from other comments so grain of salt. Vaggie said that Alastor toppled multiple overlords that had been dominant for centuries so we can at least confirm that weaker than average overlords wouldn't have much chance against him.

I think when he says “maybe things wont be so terrible inside this hotel” its cause that is his only place where he is not being abused by val along with this home cause the way i see it val uses him as a se* toy and money and i think hes addicted to drugs so it distracts him from everything that val makes him do
And then cherri tries to help him with all this by comforting him or when she says “come if you’re feeling brave” is that he will be brave to disobey val but hes also scared that val will kill him maybe?
Also the smoke chains made by val might be a reminder for angel that he cant escape from vals grasp and his trama
Also 4:27 cherri is taking over places in hell to be an overlord and that gray guy who looks like angel dust might be her ex cause a picture of him showed when she said “your money and power and my sinful delight” and she was planing to take over with him and might be scratching my theory that this is for angel but she says “yeah you fell in love” im assuming with cherri and she says “so what if i miss behave its what everybody craves” might be the reason why they broke up cause of her reckless personality and also “come if your feeling brave” so brave enough to except her destructive personality

I like this video for many reasons. It gives us more insight to what Angel does on a daily basis, the person he works for (Valentino) & what he has to deal with in his line of work. It also gives us a little bit of info on how Angel died as well, when he sings ‘despite having overdosed, and ended up comatose’. Not to mention the little flashes in the beginning of Cherri comforting Angel as he cried on a bed, showing how they are true friends that’ll go through thick and thin to help one another out. What happens in the video between Angel & Valentino could point out that maybe deep down, Angel does want to reform in the Hotel and become a better person; and if not that, then maybe he’s there because the Hotel provides Angel as a safe place for him to hide and not be near Valentino. But most importantly, this made us see Angel as not a bad person who is doing his job for money just because, it’s just he has nothing better to do and is just misunderstood.
P.S. The pig demon that was with Angel in the end is named Fat Nuggets btw

Definitely one of the few reactions I've seen to this so far where the reactor was so keyed in to the small traumatic details and truly appreciated them. And probably the only one that attentive that, far as I could tell, hadn't already heard the song prior. 100% earned upvote =)

Well, Vaggie's not awful. Neither is Angel. Charlie isn't either, which is really surprising because she literally grew up there yet hasn't reflected it at all outside her calling Katie a bitch and telling Alastor he's sketchy as fuck. Yeah, most people in Hell are probably going to be terrible, horrible people; but, it's already shown that some aren't. Some of their attitudes, like Angel's "no fucks given" and social withdrawal as well as Vaggie's "I take shit from no one" default, are likely that way out of necessity so they can survive in Hell's harsh environment. I don't think anyone's forgetting where HH is set. It's more that we've been shown a cast of characters that aren't inherently awful (Alastor being up in the air; we all know he's got something planned), so the ones that are genuinely horrendous like Valentino are naturally going to receive more hate.

@TerribleReputation Studios I am aware Charlie was born in Hell. That's why her being the way she is is a surprise. People raised in harsh/toxic environments like that tend to reflect that, but all Charlie has done is the occasional curse word and a brawl on live TV. But, my argument wasn't about how or why the characters are in Hell; it's that despite being Hell, they're not absolute trash. Angel Dust outright shows that he feels bad for what happened with the interview and even seems to have hope for the hotel if Addict is canon while Vaggie genuinely loves and cares about Charlie and her ambitions. Valentino is one of those demons that was made to be hated; probably not as much as he is, but he was made to be blatantly and undeniably antagonistic.

It's confirmed that Valentino (the demon who was abusing Angel in the video) is an overlord of lust who frequently sexually assaults/abuses his henchmen/performers. It's commonly speculated that the red smoke he blew at Angel at the beginning is a metapbor for his control over Angel Dust. I agree with this speculation, as the song is about the struggles of addiction and all it's facets. From not giving a damn about the shitty parts of it so long as you can reach that next high and forget your struggles, to knowing that it won't replace the pain or stress or whatever it is you're trying to escape from. The worst part is being aware of what happens to you while you are drugged, if you're unlucky enough to be that lucid. It's clear that Angel Dust DOES have flashbacks from when he was drugged and raped consistently by Valentino, and it haunts him. It's why his redemption is so hard. He needs to heal from that pain in order to let go of his dependency on drugs, but he can't. That's not easy to do, especially when his abuser is still out there, at large, hurting more people.
Theres a line in the end "theres another rush of poison that resides by the pain." Or something like that that makes it crystal clear how being addicted to drugs doesn't ever replace the original reason why you turn to drugs in the first place, it only acts as a temporary distraction. Thats why going down that rabbit hole is particularly dangerous because as soon as you become dependant on that rush to make you feel like you can cope with life/abuse/whatever. Even doing drugs "safely," you build up a tolerance and it doesn't hit you as hard. So, you start chasing down more and more dangerous risks to feel that original fake happiness again. By that point, it's easier to shoot up and hop on another high than it is to face your problems. Not many are strong enough to climb out of that hole on their own once they've fallen in. This is what killed Angel Dust in the first place, and he still hasn't learned because he hasn't had any true friends to guide him.
Cherri has done leagues to help him escape the source of his dependency, (blowing up the club that I can speculate belonged to Valentino which acted as Angel Dust's prison.) I would take it a step further and speculate that Cherri was making a move to become a new overlord in the area to create a safe place for Angel. He could then change allegiances to be under her protection.

If you dont know their relationship is basically they both want to let lose and have fun. They strive for self confidence and just living life to the fullest. Cherry doesn’t destroy just anything she destroys things that hurt Angel which is why she blew up the strip club owned by the toxic pimp she didn’t want him to go back to that. They may not be trying to be model citizens but they try to help each other out of pits and help each other stay safe cause they are so close

It took me about 100 watches but I just noticed at 7:28 after he gets the traumatic flashback, he looks at the cigarette with the red Valentino smoke and gets mad at it and throws it. I already had thoughts that the Valentino smoke was more than just a metaphor but now I feel like it's important. Idk if it's a power or maybe it is just a metaphor but I really feel like it's Valentino trying to control his life and he kinda knows. I've rewatched the Vivzie shows WAY too much at this point... :)
