I'm glad that you included your episode of not "feeling well." I think everyone goes through periods when they're feeling depressed, myself included. It's nice to know you're not alone and that others (even those who seem to have it all together), still have their off days. Going for a long walk outside really helps to make me feel better. I try to go everyday. It also helps to talk about things that are bothering you with someone who cares. I also enjoy a nice cup of tea and raisin toast with honey when I'm feeling down. Looking forward to that raisin toast really does lift my spirits!! Do things that make you happy. It may not cure the depression, but it will help get you through it. HUGS! : )

For me - sleep is vital - and I am currently battling anxiety/depression. Making time for me - to pray, sing worship songs, read, etc... and trying not to be so hard on myself - seem to help :) ❤

Just catching up on videos Liz & it's so good to see you. Glad your mood picked up & your therapist helped. I've been up & down but still managing to get out & about which i think always helps. I don't have a strategy as such. I usually wallow in bed but it's been a long while since i've done that so i think thats really positive. Sometimes i remember that it's important to put myself first. Its a bit like the oxygen mask on the airplane analogy. Sometimes we have to just say NO if it means looking after our own sanity. Love you lots. Happy New Year. Speak Soon. Donna xxxx

I know this is easier said than done but whenever I find myself 'catastrophising' (which is quite often lol), I try to put things into perspective and think about the real trauma that others go through, and eventually realise things aren't really that bad... Of course, I don't know your situation but with me, it seems to be mostly circumstantial where I do need to change my attitude- like I said, easier said than done. It was amusing to hear that even therapists are human with their colds and dressing gowns haha. It was nice to see you so excited about how the flat's developing :)

Thank you for your transparency! Look at your face during your down time....and when you felt better. It looks like you had gotten some good sleep and the joy returned. lol

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us so openly. As always, I've enjoyed your latest Fridiary!
I'm well known as a worrier and have always suffered from low self-esteem. My life isn't the way I want it to be at the moment, but I know the reasons why - I'm in a job that makes me unhappy, and my recently married son and his wife have been forced to live with us for the last year, so we're hoping that situation will change in the foreseeable future! It's a bit of a crowded house! Maybe I should consider seeing a therapist/Talking Change - I keep putting it off! New Year's resolution!! Have a good week. ^_^

yoga 4/5 times per week - I schedule it in my work calendar & daily walks - 10 mins to an hr depending on my day - it's super cold no in the USA so my walk have slacked off a bit - but my yoga is hot and inside so I keep up with that. Also TV or movies and youtube channels - your son's is one of my favorites :-) I think I am going to like your channel. ;-)

Thanks for you vlogs an your honesty, dear Liz. It's a pleasure everytime you put one up. As a woman of nearly your age we share similar expiriences and I really apprechiate the time and effort you put in sharing your thoughts and fears. When I'm in this moody situations, I very often talk to myself(when I'm allone;). Seems to be a similar situation, despite you are the brave one, that puts this up on YT.
I wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas

I hear what your saying Liz. It's a tough time of year for lots of people, me included... lots of changes this year that kind of threw me in a tailspin... it will be fine in the end... but it's the getting there I am not doing as gracefully as I would like...lol and bless my therapist... she keeps things in perspective...

Hi Liz, thanks for another great vlog. You seem very insightful & psychologically intelligent. I think when I start feeling anxiety kicking in, I take a moment & assess my current life/situation - being mindful if you like. I also make it a point to try attain a few decent nights sleep. Meditation helps me quiet my mind too (although this can take time to achieve). Being able to vent (& reboot the brain) is also important I think. Whether it be to a friend, partner or health care professional.

I agree with the commenter below, I always think my life situation is not as bad as others. I am always reflecting in that.

Mental health is a very complex issue. I know a few people who suffer from various conditions. I am bless with the fact I don't. I guess is to keep your mind on the go and focused on something

Liz have you also thought back to whether there is a pattern following what you eat and drink ? I resolved a lot of health issues around hormone imbalance by removing sugar from my diet - when i ate sugar a lot (comforting toast and jam and cakes) the raise in insulin pushed my hormones out of balance a few hours and it would often result in feelings that the world was unravelling that lifted once i had processed the sugar and balance resumed - just a thought x the food sensitivities we are all developing from years of overload are strong enough to affect mood - thanks for sharing
