How fabulous to find you back here(UA-cam never told me!)! I am just catching up with you again but thought I'd start with your South Downs Way (doing it all in the wrong order!) as my son Matt and wife Sophie did some South Downs Way vlogs of their own during the beginning of the pandemic! I have so missed your vlogs so will enjoy following this walk and finding out what you've been up to! (I am envious of your energy and fitness levels - no way could I attempt a walk like this on my own!) ^_^
Well I had seen a few hikers talking about barefoot type shoes and boots and how the whole concept is about giving your toes space and that having no rise in the heal is better for your knees. So I went after work the the Vivo Barefoot shop in Neil Street. They were great! I had no blisters, my knees felt great and I would definitely recommend them.
*_Hello Mrs. Liz... is the South Downs Way a rural area or a small town, there is a savanna for camping, also for grazing livestock, and a clean river, this place is really great, I like your video Mrs. Liz.... greetings from Indonesia_* 👣⛰👍🤝🙏
Hi, The South Downs Way is a trail for hiking, cycling or horse riding. It is on the ridge of a range of chalk hills called the South Downs. It is one of the UK's official National Trails and it is within the South Downs National Park. There are many small towns within the park, lots of farms so there is grazing live stock. There are a number of small campsites, usually only open between April and September. Because of the animal grazing I wouldn't say the rivers are clean but there are many water taps for drinking water on the trail. Some are clean enough to swim in though. Thanks for your interest in my channel. I've subscribed to yours :)
Great video 👍 awesome to see someone tackling the hike in October 🎉
Thank you! I spotted a week of awesome weather in the forecast and just took off! Ha ha!

How did you find the shoes that you had on. I have been looking for some hiking ones for my daughter but never know if they are any good. X
