- Dan Delaney-piano, Roger Shew-bass and Sinclair Lott-drums recorded May 2014 as part of a concert series I put together hosted by KEYBOARD CONCEPTS of Fountain Valley CA. Piano is a 9ft Yamaha Concert Grand. The piano audio was recorded using the EARTHWORKS PM40T Professional Microphone System. I agree. YT's algorithm now throws every Wave it can find at me, and this take is stellar. This cat's Delaney's chord substitutions are a total trip -- genius, even. Bassist Sinclair Lott is grinning like he's got the best seat in the house, as fully entertained as anyone in the audience.

Fellow musicians have played piano and accordion for 60 years, how amazing the different responses I recieve between each instrument and yes a great song. Have heard no recordings any where with the accordion. Maybe 2021 there will be one
Hi James! The accordion was my first instrument before switching to piano at 16. I was very dedicated in those early years playing accordion (cordovox) and studied with a great player teaching me all the jazz standards. I remember doing all the hanon exercises as well on it. I often find myself thinking I may just have to jump back in now 48 yrs later. You never know!
@@DanDelaneyPiano Just started to get out and play at 16. Many places my Father had to come because of my age. Dont have that problem now . Where did all the years go. My style is like Frank Marraco what a great musician, only wish more younger players could see and admire his technic Hey Dan make a recording of the Best love song I like from france La Vie EN Rose. I saw you in Glendale Arizona too. Cannonball Adderly you did a dynamite CD I had. about in 2006. I am in S Florida now and started a wonderful trio. trying to play the Ritz Carlton in Palm beach/Manalapan
