I like your approach - fabricating and repairing whats there rather than replacing whole panels. I also like that you show how to make panels using simple tools - great approach. I made a list of the tools you use most often - aside for the grinder, the needle gun and finger sander feature heavily in the videos. I will definately be looking out for those for my next project which is to make some mnor repairs to my MGB. Thanks again for the videos - I'm now a subscriber.
My first commplete restoration, back in the mid 80's, was a K suffix Mini 1000, recoginise all those rust spots :-( Looking forward to following this through.
My first car in 1984 was a BL 1973 mini, that had some rust but looking at pictures of it to compare this mini to, this is another league of rust buckets. I thought this was built when things were surley better that the BL days of industrial action.
Shiny paint can only cover up the rust for so long - looks like you have your work cut out along with all the rust - don't envy you this one , In my youth I spent far too many wet weekends rummaging around scrapyards and round every corner was a what was left of a Mini - super cars but real rot boxes
Has that wee beastie seen some paint in the last forty years? I'm sure mine (slightly older( was in worse nick than that by the eighties, let alone at forty years old. Looking forward to this but don't forget the Z!
Looks like another interesting restoration but some bits look like "what parent metal is there left to weld to". Did the MX5 Rusteration get an MOT in the end?

i think most people want a mini at some point :D
I learned to drive in one of these. It belonged to my first girlfriends mum. I don’t think she knew what I was up to 😊
From a distance the mini looked ok 🤣 YCR will make it better 👍🏻
We will 👍

The Rusteration is just awaiting some parts for us to complete so we can send it over for MOT then there will another vid :)
Pretty original if it still has rivets holding in the headlight housing.
Yes we dont think its had paint or repairs before, just a bit of filler and touchup Stu .
cool ! i had a 1100 clubman when i was ......er younger . looks like your brother has been bench pressing minis ? 💪
Hi Karen he likes weights haha
These later minis rusted a lot quicker than the earlier cars
Agreed Andy :)
Great video but the music is not very good. It's far too noisy and aggresive.
Also too loud in the mix of the video
Thank you.
she looks good from far but she is far to be good.
She does indeed :)
I’m very confused
That was a waste of my life
Good, thank you for watching and adding a comment that helps the youtube logerothm and our chanel :)
