In this video, we talk about my preparation for this topwater only (for the most part) trip.
Every so often I force myself into doing something that gives me no choice - this is one way for me to move forward and learn, otherwise I would just keep on doing the same thing over and over again - it gets boring and the results remain quite stable.
So, for this trip, I am forcing myself to fish with predominantly topwaters to not only test out some new things I put on some of them, but to also polish my quite rusty ultralight topwater skills that have remained dormant for quite some time. I talk about the gear and some of the stuff I plan to fish with in this video. Hopefully this gives you an insight of what my thought process is, why I take the gear I take and lures I take and want to use.
