Micro jigs are notorious for having weak hooks, but it doesn't have to be like that. If you want a better chance at landing those bigger fish, you have to put the time in and work on a better assist hook.
When it comes to something like this, the fact of the matter is, there is no other option but to make your own because the ones for sale are going to be far from perfect from one jig to another- that's just how "ready to use" replacement assist hooks are. In this video, I will show you how to make an assist hook for a jigpara micro slim 15g, but the steps can be used for any micro jig - take note that we are making one for a fast jig and one that you cast.
