This was the video that inspired it all for me, and why i bought the klymit, even though I was personally at the payload limit. Last year I wasnt able to walk very far. Down 110 lbs, I’m starting my summer with hiking/packrafting day trips and learning my new limits. Thanks for inspiring me all those years ago to just keep moving and get out there.
Love the vid have a tip for u. Cut a dollar store swim noodle like 10 inches Long put it on the paddles thru the holes. Just in case the paddle drops n the floatie will keep it up. No lost paddles. Hey anything is possible.
Ross Lake is like a Western Glacial Park. The upper end is in Canada. There are 24 campsites on the lake and must be reserved . I have camped at Little Jerusalem Island and Beaver Creek Falls. You can access from below the dam and call for a truck that will bring your canoe or kayak up to the lake. You will not find more beauty or remote splendor anywhere in the US. Iguana
Still use them on occasion. I'm planning to take my daughter out this year as well! They're not as fast as the alpacka rafts, but for the price I've been really impressed. They're durable enough to take a light beating.
+The Outdoor Adventure Not sure. I am planning on moving to WA in the next couple of years and I am planning adventures already. I want to hike to Lena Campground and raft back into Ross. Looking at Google maps, the creek looks pretty hardcore in some areas but easy going below Thirty Nine Mile Campground. Just thought I'd ask! Great video!
Wow! Awesome job editing, Paul. What a way to showcase such a beautiful area. Not getting going until 8 though eh? How come you didn't sleep in that much when I hiked with you? ;) On a serious note, one of your best vids (if I say so myself). :) - Chris
Great question. If I remember correctly we stopped at the ranger station on the way and let them know what our plans were and bought the permit from them.
I think the question is Good enough for what? Our worked for everything we needed it for and still does years later. Certainly not whitewater material, but much lighter.

Wow, that's so encouraging Chris. Good for you! You're an inspiration to me!
Was just there myself, this place is magical!!

Have you ever tried packrafting down Big Beaver Creek that leads into Ross Lake?
Nope. Any fun?

So how were the boats? Looked good for that purpose
boats were great. exactly what I hoped/expected them to be for the price. I still use them now over 7 years later
Good video and some beautiful scenery. What packraft did you use?
Thanks! I have 2 Klymit packrafts. technically called the Klymit LWD
Great video guys! How do you like the Klymit rafts? And how well are they holding up? I'm considering getting one!
+The Adventure Biker great little raft for the price. Still holding up well. Planning on taking my daughter out on a trip this summer.
The Outdoor Adventure how are they now...?

Wow. Seriously? Thanks so much Chris. That means a lot!
How much weight could the raft take? Been seeing different numbers in different places
350 lbs is the official number from Klymit.
how did these hold up, did they have problems with leaking after a few uses or anything?
the rafts are still going strong
Cool, thinking about grabbing one to toss in my pack when theres gonna be some water near a trail.
Making this guy jealous!
If it gets you outdoors then I'm glad ;).
Good video!
Thank you!
What type of packrafts are you using?
This is the Klymit LWD
Which paddle is that?
it's an alpacka raft ninja ultralight paddle. 15 oz
May I ask what Paddle do u use?
Hi! It's the Ninja paddle sold by Alpacka raft. $115 currently.
Great vid! We're going in July. Do you need any special permits or anything to do an overnight?
Great question. If I remember correctly we stopped at the ranger station on the way and let them know what our plans were and bought the permit from them.
Great thanks man!
Dude .... That raft isn't good enough at all. ..lol
