Watching you grip a board is always great entertainment 😂😂
Hahah it’s like each time I do it I forget how to do it 😂
Nuts how expensive decks are there. Even here in Canada pro decks are like at least $80
Yep, that’s Australia for you lol
Yeah man i spent like 360 bucks putting a deck and shoes together in april here in ontario.
Yeah Aus is pricey but when I went to Japan a full custom setup i got there was like $400
Don’t even get me started on trying to get good trucks
60 here
for your gripping troubles check out george poulos set up vids!!
I’ll have to give them a look!
THAT Video helped a lot! thank you sir !
I have an 8.75 anti hero, 159 standard Indy’s, g2s, Indy hardware, spitfire conical full 52mm that I’ve skated down to like 47, and mob.
ive skated 8.75 once and it was rad, i think it was an enjoi, damn thats a small ass wheel by now haha
boys heres a trick for you all: go to your local skateshop and ask them if they have any used decks that ppl have left there, they usually give them for FREE, some of them might be in a good condition so you dont always have to buy a brand new deck.
100% a lot of people overlook this!
@@SeanEnuks love your vids bro, keep going.
Your underrated, I enjoy ur videos it got a good vibes to them keep doing what your doing🍻
Fast times looks like the dopest skate shop! When I visit down undah! I’m stopping by! I subbed great video!
Thanks for the sub! Fast times is rad
Okey that's sick! loved it!
Thanks mate! glad you enjoyed this one
That is a really good grip job!
I love your videos dude. I just got a krooked board and new lakais and it feels so good.
Appreciate the support man! Krooked is dope, I’ve never ridden a Krooked though but they’ve been around forever
been loving your content! i just ordered my first flipping awesome board, i usually skate 8.75 and i’ve moved down to an 8.5 recently
Sick man! i need to go up 8.5 minimum, i might go 8.7 to be honest this deck is too skinny and its killing me
They’re really good for power slides and they go fast as hell
Heroin 8.7 egg shape. I've always skated popsicle this is my first 'shaped' board and it's absolutely awesome. Going to get another after this. Much love from 🏴 bro! Keep killing it!! 🤘🤘
Damn 8.7 thats sick, i need minimum 8.5 after this board, its too skinny, thanks for the support!
great vid - skating a 917 max palmer pro model right now, sick board.
Thanks dude, I’ve been diggin 917 stuff lately their graphics are so clean and simple yet dope
Bro this is in my recommended . I also ride silver 159s with a F on the front truck. I also wear vans and ride formula fours. I do all those things religiously. Good shit Man U know what ur doing . Sweet hook ups deck and huf shoes are amazing.
Hell yea youtube algorithm ! oh no way! thats dope dude haha great minds think alike, Cheers for the kind words dude! I got those Hufs while i was in the states, from an Active skate shop, theyre a half size and thankfully the states carry half sizes unlike here in australia
I rock those wheels they’re sick
They’re taking me some getting used to lol
i skate 56mm bones full conicals the Lizzie Armanto's pro model! really good!
u should do more videos like this and maybe even do a review of a hockey board one day ! keep up the good vids :)
Love the vids
ur vids haven't been popping up in my subscribe section, glad i rediscovered you mane
Make sure you hit the bell! Thanks dude!
your making good content bro and im sure your subscribers will grow a lot if you keep doing videos. keep it up man. sending love from the UK
Rikki Northwood appreciate that a lot dude 🙌🙌🙌 you from the north or the south?
@@SeanEnuks im from Luton down south... its about 40 mins north of London
I’ve just got a set of G2’s. I’ve found that they run better with the spacers and you can crank your axle nut tight as.
Perfect gripjob as always Sean 👌🤣 that setup looks so dope tho bro, u should make a review on the f4 tablets at some point ! Also I've been skating bones medium bushings on my ventures for a decent while now. I skate then with no washers at all on the ventures (not the little bones top washer either) and they r pretty dam good, make ventures actually turn good if u like loose trucks. Not sure what they would be like on Indys tho since Indy's turn the best already 👊 💯 sick video my dude !
Hahaha thanks man, that could be a good idea! im still getting used to riding a smaller thinner wheel compared to conical fulls, thats crazy, no washers scares me lol appreciate the support dude!
@@SeanEnuks yh dude i need to try some f4's out soon, been skating bones stf v5 which r nice but i reckon ill enjoy spitfire more. hope you like the tablet shape! and haha trust me u gotta have no washers for ventures to actually turn decent, otherwise u cant get ur trucks loose enough. My kingpin nut literally fell off whilst i was skating when i was using the washers still hahaha
Great video! Finally a setup video with actual skating in it! 😂
berran345 wasn’t much skating in it but just enough lol, thanks dude!
I also used too skate the bones medium (yellow) bushings and they turn super nice but they all just started to squish out and break on me. So I stick to the Indy stock bushings that are really good too!!!
All I’ve ever ridden is Indy stock bushings so it was nice to change it up, in really digging the bones soft ones, just took a little getting used to
Currently skating a blind 7.75 I skated a 8 for a couple years but just went down and I’m never going back I find it just so effortless to rotate my tricks since I primarily skate flat
Yeah I got the soft bones bushings , I skated them a bit tighter cause of how loose they were and how soft, they broke within a week and shredded themselves
Sick video
Thanks for checking it out !
Just got a GX1000 deck today, last board was a hockey and it held up great, will definitely get another one!
I also got a pair of all black slip ons ahaha
I really dig those gx boards the graphic is rad, all ive been skating lately is Hockey/F.A, Still breaking in these slip ons! hopefully any minute now they should come sweet lol
I’m riding a Santa Cruz deck, bullet trucks, slime ball wheels, bones bearings and I think mob grip tape
Sick video 🤙
Thankyou dude, im glad you like it!
I ride a 8 Dgk deck with Independent hollows 139, 52 mm spitfire wheels, Bronson berrings, and Indy hardware.
My skate setup is a classic antihero deck, formula four spitfires, reds bearings, Jessup grip, shortys hardware, and 139 indys.
hes got the uchiha eye so sick
I found what works for me on the bones soft bushings is to put the smaller top washer from Indy's on the top and bottom so just take the top washer from some old independent trucks
Ahhhh i get you, i just used the washer that bones gave me in the kit, im starting to really get the hang of them now
Great vid bro :)
Glad you enjoyed it dude
Hi Sean, we called those U-bolts back in the day. But others know them as bridgebolts or traction bolts. Not sure if it was one co that made them or many.
About the bones bushings, had the mediums and those felt awesome but blew up pretty fast, and also those do something to the geometry of the trucks so your pivot cups can blow up too, happened to me. Now i need the standard indy bushings :D
I actually replaced my pivot cups too when I did my bushings, I’m still getting used to it all
@@SeanEnuks ok :D
Riding an 8.25 hockey, thunder 148 hollows, 53mm spitfire classics, bronson g3 bearings, diamond 7/8 hardware, and that grizzzzzzz grip. Might try jessup Im sorta flying through shoes at the moment. P.S I know Im late but enjoyed reading what other people are riding. Cheers!
Awesome
Whoa. Mind blown a couple of times here. Can't believe how expensive decks are in Australia. Also Indy 159s on an 8.38" deck. No way! I've seen Andrew Cannon from Santa Cruz put 159s on 9" decks. Great to see they're so versatile.
Just upsized to a killing floor 8.5 deck, super stoked on it
8.5 is my go to size, just feels so comfy under my feet and i dont drag my toes or heels too much
Im riding a madness 8.75. Awsome boards!
I havent heard of that brand i will have to check them out
Ive skated baker all my life, but i think my next board is going to be an FA. I love the graphics they use.
I rode Baker/deathwish for like 5 years until I switched to Fa/Hockey
I think they’re called bridge bolts
That does make a lot of sense lol
Riding an FA with Indies and just ordered spitfire conicals to try out. FA decks are probably the best I've skated so I might try Hockey next too
Conical full are my fav wheel, FA/Hockey are printed on the same board shapes/concaves so they both go sick
8.5 Powell deck & 149 Indy hollows babyyy😤🤟🏻
Nice! I have a set of Reynolds hollows somewhere at home
His DIY park is so cool
Thankyou!
@@SeanEnuks especially since my city has no parks at all! might wanna try my own one day lol
Ive ordered a Death Skateboards deck and Bearings which is a UK company and Tensor Mag Light trucks Pig 52mm wheels... cant wait to get back out there as i havent skated in a long time but want to get back into it before i get too old
Rikki Northwood that’s sick, a New Zealand pro by the name of Richie Jackson rides Death I’m pretty sure
It’s never too late to start skating mate! 🙌
@@SeanEnuks yeah man... I think im a year older than you. im 29 born in 1990 but gave up skateboarding when i was about 13 because i was fed up of skating flatground in a car park because i lived in a remote area but now im older i can make my own way to skate parks and different spots and cant wait man... your videos are inspiring bro
Rikki Northwood yea dude I was born in 91’ haha, I feel you there man, I know the UK doesn’t have very much to skate, kind of makes me feel spoilt here to have so many new parks popping up
I appreciate that dude and I’m glad the stuff I make gets you hyped to get back on the board
Nice hookups in the back 🤙
Thanks! 😁
welcome boards are the move
Bro... when you get air bubbles just put the grip paper over the bubble and using a credit card push on the bubble out towards the outside of the board until it’s gone.
Riding a 8.5 antihero with thunders and spitfire lock in. Also bones hard bushings are a life saver for me
thats a sick idea, i usually roll one of my wheels over the top of the grip to push any remainding air bubbles out, but thankyou for the tip!
Sick
Thanks dude!
Using a Baker deck, Krux trucks, bones red bearings and ricta wheels. Bought it end of 2015 but hardly ever skate it tbh since I was at uni. Griptape is worn and general wear from age but tryna get back into skating now with more time off
I havent heard of Krux in years, i did have a set though, back then i remember them having like a weird bottle opener hole thing on the hanger of the truck, ahh i feel you man, i love hearing about people jumping back on the board
@@SeanEnuks deck is definitely worn from years of storage, picked up a Huf deck but I cant grip it myself and all the shops are closed still haha. But anyways sick deck choice, I defo plan to pick up a Hockey deck in the future, always loved FA and Hockey stuff. Keep up the good vids!
Bones bushings are good, maybe you should get the Krux downlow kingpins for them indys! It makes for the perfect pair of trucks
I'm riding a 8.25 FA board with independent trucks, g2 bronsons, FA laser cut mob grip, and ricta 53mm wheels
You should get a proper exacto knife. Like the one with the handle and the blade slides out the end. A longer blade sticking out and a handle to grab will make it way easier. I haven't gripped a board in a long time but that's always how the skate shop people would do it.
I got a new yardsale board and love it
I havent heard of them ill have to check out that brand
skating a polar deck 8.0, krux trucks 8.0 axle, spitfire classics wheels 53mm, andale bearings, shake junt grip, indy hw
Your build sounds super fun dude
Riding a 8.5 lizard king Deathwish rn , and i have a 8.5 hockey deck on the way ! 149 Indys too
Lizard is a boss, kills it on a snowboard too! Independents all the way!
Just picked up the Polar Shin Sanbongi surf model, its kinda short for my liking but the shape is glorious
Dude i was just looking at Polar shapes today, i think i might cop a Polar deck next
Love fa/hockey shapes and concaves. Skating a girl rn and it’s so flat it’s ridiculous but I’m getting used to it
Oh yea man the concave hugs your feet i love it
just copped deathwish deck 8.5, thunder titanium trucks, formula 4, reds, MOB
Hell yea dude sounds like a sick build, deathwish are so sick
Man the boards with a $4+ grip after check out is $95 !!!! DAMN
8/10 gripping job
I have an enjoi deck, but i wanna change to hockey, the rest is indy trucks, spitfire 52mm and zion's bronson bearings. I live in Portugal and that full setup was like 240 euros. Thats like 220 dollars i think. Also i wanna change from a 8.125 to a 8.25, is it worth it?
I recently ordered the same wheels and some Bronson G2
Nice man! I needa clean my G2s already haha
I feel ya with those Aussie prices on things.
I always found that it is easier to grip your board if you start by undoing half of the stick, placing that on, and then slowly pulling it away while pressing down. THis way if you start to make a mistake you can rip it up and place it back down.
Ahhhh yes i think ive seen people do it that way also and it looks a lot smoother than just slapping it straight onto the deck
Riding an 8.25 snakeman from FA with 144 indy Lopez hollows. Love it
nice nice, solid build
I just skated a worldpeace Deck but i snapped it today. Lasted me for a bit under 2 months
You should review those vans pro slip ons. Bones bushings are awesome they are pretty much broken in and turn real smooth. My current setup is anti-hero 8.25, indy 144’s,53mm spitfires conical fulls, bones bushings the hard ones, mob grip, Swiss bearings and some skate shop hardware.
Undisputed Attitude that’s a rad idea!
Ahhh sick. I’ve ridden a few anti hero’s, the eagle graphic was my favourite
I usually go with conical fulls but I wanted to try out the tablet shape, so far I’m not too happy with them cause I haven’t been able to lock in as well
Sean Enuks yeah it’s actually my first anti hero I usually skate fa’s/hockey but they snap easily to wear it’s annoying. Conical fulls are great wheels for getting speed easily but I feel like they’re a bit chunky for me I like classics better. Yeah you should review all your gear really curious about those shoes and wheels.
Currently have a plan b 8.0 , about to switch over to a santa Cruz, never skated one before
Sick man, 8.0s are a little skinny for me but I used to ride them back when I was younger
Damn how tall are you/ how big are your feet if you normally ride 8.5? Plus what hardness where the wheels?
I have 149 indys but I was thinking of downsizing board size from 8.5 to either 8.38 or 8.25, you think my trucks would be sticking out too much?
I have 159s and I used them to skate anywhere between 8.38-8.5 and they do be just fine
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
im skating a house of vista shop deck rn but imma get a hockey deck after
Are indys better for FA/Hockey decks compared to thunders on FA/Hockey? I have a FA deck rn and I find the shape so good
I mean I’ve always ridden independent trucks on these boards, I think Ben Degros had a video about thunder trucks on those fa/hockey shapes
where is your beanie from it’s so nice
Bones bushings turn really well and basically have no breaking in so thats good, but they DO NOT last long. Expect at maximum a month out of the soft bushings. Also the quality control seems to be absolutely horrible, sometimes you get a pair that lasts a month and sometimes a pair lasts a day. Sometimes the package doesn't even come with the washers needed for the bushings. But still I think they are the best bushings out there and I still continue buying them.
Also I ride a Sour Solution 8.375 Oscar Candon pro model deck. It's my sixth Sour Solution board and I got to say I like them a lot. If I'm feeling a bit adventurous, I''ll buy a FA/Hockey board every once in a while.
Thanks for the heads up dude! They’re still creaking a little so I guess they’re still breaking in maybe? But I’m keen to see how they will go down the track, oh sweet, I can’t say I’ve heard of that company before but FAs are so rad
@@SeanEnuks Sour Solution is a small company from Europe. I warmly recommend you to check out their "THE SOUR SOLUTION II" video part. Their team includes the likes of Gustav Tonnesen, Oscar Candon, Simon Isaksson and Albert Nyberg.
Just subbed sick setup tho
Thanks dude!
Your welcome!
Just getting back into skating, riding an Elan 8" with Theeve trucks and Bones wheels I set up in like 2015.
Oh nice, elan is Australian right?
@@SeanEnuks Yeah man! 100% Skater owned and operated
Brodie Wilkinson that’s sick! They’re outta Adelaide I think if my memory serves me correctly
Sean Enuks That’s right! They’ve got some sick skaters on their team
Noice!
Thanks mate!
I literally almost have the exact same setup my hockey is a 8.5 and I ride bones wheels
Sick set up bro.. i ride 8.5 with 169s..
Damn, doesnt the wide wheel base throw you off?
Its good for more room and locking up grinds and stability. 8.5s board for a bit of flip and tech.
im going travelling in Aus in Oct/Nov sad af how much decks are :(
It sucks man but what can we do, were all living on an island a long long away from everyone else lol
About to set up a primitive 7.75 but skating a toy machine 8 rn cuz my last 7.75 snapped
damn 7.75 is way too thin for me, i used to ride those sizes when i was a young teen
awesome
Appreciate that dude!
I got a Fucking Awesome 8.38 with Ace 44’s Oj elite wheels and Bones big balls bearings and Mob grip and Diamond hardware. Sick video!
Yo bro I’ve been thinking about getting an fa/hockey board cuz everyone I know keeps telling me to get one so I’m wondering if they are any good ?
They are really dope if you like steep concave and shorts nose and tails, i really enjoy these shapes
I'm about to set up an 8.5 real full se shape. I'm skating a chocolate 8.25 right now but it's too short and small for my long legs. Also I use bones medium and I like them alot.
8.5 is usually my go to, I’m quite tall and I feel the 8.5 width is great for stability and support, I’m still getting used to these bushings
@@SeanEnuks yes I feel like it's the perfect size for my linky self lol. And if the bushings feel too soft I recommend the medium ones. They're the yellow top ones.
Matt Lane thanks man, I’ll see how I go the next couple weeks on these bushings, see if I can get used to them
I'm jealous lol
I’m on a Polar 8.38 but I’m definitely going up to 8.5 next time.
I usually run between 8.38-8.5, anything less doesnt feel too great for me
I've been riding a gx1000 blood hand print with red jessup grip and independent trucks milton Martinez and bones red bearings normal reds independent allen key hardware
i really wanna get a gx board, they look so sick, sounds like you have a super solid build!
@@SeanEnuks yeah if you like fat noses like myself I think youd like the board
bro how are tablets? I've been using conical fulls for a few months and love them especially on the shitty aussie roads but I find shuvs can be grippy/difficult to spin and take more force also kickflips are slower. Im thinking of getting tablets or classics
Honestly man i didnt like them at first cause i couldnt lock in on round rails as easy, but now im used to them theyre pretty sick, I mean the roughest surface i skate is the DIY i built, so im usually skating smooth parks but id imagine they might lack a little if youre skating street
I can't grip a board, so I go to the skateshop every time!😂
I usually get my mate to do my grip lol
Yooooo we have the same setup exept im using a madness deck 🤟🏻
right now im riding a
FA na-kel smith pro model 8.25
shake junt grip
Independent hollows 139
spitfire 54 tablets
andale bearings
hardies hardware kader sylla pro model
I've been skating the bones bushing for about 3 months now and the blue plastic ring thing has just brocken off the rest of the bushing even tho my trucks are super loose🤷♂️
Oh for real, ill have to keep an eye on that for sure, cheers for the heads up
I gotta 8.25 fa board with mob grip and Indy hollow trucks with bones wheels and some reds
Sickkk, indy hollows are so rad
I ride bones bushings and there really nice
They lasted me a little while but they were too soft for me
