1973 Ford Galaxie Junk Yard Find

Another 1970a land yacht hits the wrecking yard. This time it's a 1973 Ford Galaxie 4 door. my mistake in referring to it as an LTD in the video. Pretty much all there aside from not being in the best of shape. Still lots of good parts in this one.

It’s a 73 because the rear bumper is still tucked close to the body. The 74 rear bumper sticks out farther. And it is an LTD with a 73 Galaxie grille and front turn signals (the LTD had a more ornate grille and larger lights with chrome bands across the lenses).
Galaxies also say “Galaxie 500” on the trunk lid and “FORD” on a black panel between the taillights.

Ironic all these ford land yachts they are all in the junkyard with. 351/400 m engine pull that boat anchor and drop a 460 in it! Love the high back bucket seats

its a LTD Brougham. that's a Galaxie 500 fascia for some reason and missing a lot of the trim on it

VIN could have been 3 for 1973, maybe G for Chicago IL assembly plant, 64 for four door hard top, S for 400 V8 with 2 barrel and the rest would be the production sequence. No VIN or trim tag shown, but this was an earlier video of yours.

To me 72 was the last good year that had any style left. After that they were just malaise era bloated land yachts.
