How do I maintain the 40 year old block walls of my addition. It's 2 stories with a block wall first story that's exposed to the weather. The block has never been painted or treated. I'm beginning to notice some hairline cracks where the mortar meets the block in the joints. How do you fix that? How do I maintain the block and joints?
Same fuckin thing here bud. Ive read that perhaps it wasnt mixed enough... I find it hard to believe, i got a little more repointing to do later on a blockhouse, maybe ill use a drill instead of mixing it by hand...
Mortar/Grout Bags are typically available at your local masonry supplier or warehouse. Several different types are available from Marshalltown, QEP and many other brands.
