I bought a Prusa clone on ebsy. It's just a cheapy to see if 3D is something I'll use. It came with about a million parts, and I had to laugh about all the videos where they bragged about putting it together in 2 hours. It took me 2 days. It seems to be a nice printer, though. Then today I got the Fusion 360. Man, what a learning curve that represents! I haven't made the first print yet. Need to become familiar with the software first, as in what should be resident in the printer and what can go in the SD card. Much to learn. Thanks for your Fusion videos. I will study the whole series. Now, off to Patreon to pay you back.
I like your explanation. I'm certificated professional Inventor 2013 and I'm mechanical engineer. It is very important to place center of the ball in the center point (intersection of the axis X,Y,Z) because when you'll decide to make assembly and to place the ball you can use constrains as Work planes as axis
GeoDroidJohn I used SketchUp for 10 years. Fusion allows you to easily make blocky shapes rounded, chamfered, and you can extrude/ cut through any shape. It's so awesome! I literally don't bother with SketchUp anymore. I can't tell you how many times I had to restart a model in SketchUp because I messed something up along the way. Fusion is parametric so it gives you God like design privileges.
Useful yes ... But more accurately, Priceless. Sure I've been using F360 for some time, so know a fair bit, but I always learn more from every video you do. Keep up the great work Angus. All the best to Lady Muse too
'Let's get into it' ??!! ... No, the line is 'Let's get STARTED'. Gotta stick to the script dude. ;) Loving your videos, really helping me get my head around Fusion360.
Thanks for touching on intersects, haven't used those before :) If you think it's worth covering, would you consider doing a video on importing STL's in fusion360 and manipulating them? I've had limited success with it and you seem to know your way around fusion :)
Speaking of organic modeling, can you make a video on using T-Splines in Fusion360? I tried it once and made a Kirby, but I was not very good at it. In the end, my Kirby had 5 shells, like if I was modeling it for a video game or something.
It's a Frisbee😀😀😀. Ummmmm are you releasing the stl file because you can put an circuit playground express and than it can because a flyin saucer. 3dprinting with electronic
I wish you would SLOW DOWN!!!! You're clicking and talking about things at a hundred miles an hour. Tried watching it again, but it didn't help much, so I had to cut the speed of the video, but then you can't understand what you're saying. So it's a dammed if you do or dammed if you don't.
The software only works for 30 days, This video made want to try this. And it seems you never own this software, Its $300 per year for the cheap one. Just fuck that, Sorry Angus that is just shit. I used to like Autodesk. I started with 3D Studio R2, it was not cheap but at-least it was actually buyable. This left me feeling like, what the fuck. I hope they fail, I doubt they will. edit: Does it require internet to load even ?
um, no. At the end of the 30 days register yourself as either a student, or start up. If you're making less than 100K a year using it it's free. I've mentioned it tonnes on the channel. knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-activate-start-up-or-educational-licensing-for-Fusion-360.html
Saves to the internet ? As in it sends my files to another computer be default ? Now that I wont allow. lol, I guess ill see how it responds to the Comodo firewall.
ProCactus Actually, you just need internet to download the program and sign in. If you are modelling something, you can save a .f360 file to your computer and you don't have to upload it to the cloud. If you don't want to let fusion use your internet connection, you can switch to 'offline' mode (upper right corner)
Still helpful 4 years later, thanks mate
2024 and still learning from these. Thanks Angus.

Love the Fusion 360 videos, please make more!
Agree, Angus. Great learning this stuff. You make it look easy. The Boswell ending was great. :)
Vinyl Is it the best program out there rn? I'm using sketchup
GeoDroidJohn

'Let's get into it' ??!! ... No, the line is 'Let's get STARTED'. Gotta stick to the script dude. ;) Loving your videos, really helping me get my head around Fusion360.
Really loving this series. very helpful! Thankyou :)
Ooo, this is looking interesting, thanx for uploading some 3D CAD tips. I've never used any CAD before, so I'll have to start somewhere.
Just found this channel. Binge a bit lol. New sub and thumbs up all round.
Nice video, always enjoy your stuff, 👍
Awesome Video :-)
Man i Love you. :) I learning from you everything. Thanks

No problem with the multitasking, lol. My geeetech A10 is cranking out a print in the background as I watch. ;)
Awesome video, Angus, but also awesome music! Where do you get it? Or did you mix it yourself? Thanks!
I'm looking forward to a video on using the sweep function. For some reason I can rarely ever get it to work the way I'd like.
good tut mate
Thanks man!
Could you do a CAD FOR INTERMEDIATE I learn so much better watchoing ur tuts
I think you should send it over to Joel to see if he can print it. I'm curious to see if the GMax could handle it without supports.
Thanks for touching on intersects, haven't used those before :)

Nice!!!
How did you create that segmented sphere at 10:36? Lost me at that point! Note I'm using the latest version version in July 2020.
Scratch that, I figured it out eventually.
Is that Prusa running quad extruders?
Sure is! Multi Material Upgrade
Yes. Multimaterial and... Available for MK2 and MK3.
Not quad extruders really, 4 filament drives...1 extruder
That's not four EXTRUDERS good sir.
Are you planning on reviewing the tevo tornado
+Connor Lennan not at this stage, check out make anything's review !
Which do you like better - Fusion 360 or Inventor?
I can get fusion for free, so fusion!
Great WOW

How do you change the color/material of one body? I can't find that option :')
Thanks for teaching me something new! I really need these skills to make better projects. Hopefully my channel will be as successful as yours one day
It's a Frisbee😀😀😀. Ummmmm are you releasing the stl file because you can put an circuit playground express and than it can because a flyin saucer. 3dprinting with electronic
Olansky you saw all his dimensions. Just re draw it your self this is a video showing how lol
How can I get your new lattice torture cube test?
+Rhettson Powell its posted on patreon
jokes on you i cant hear your printer over the sound of mine printing right next to me
I hope someone can help me i want to buy my FIRST 3d printer and i dont really now which to buy.... anet a6 or Wanhao Duplicator i3 v2
You're like the Blender Guru but one that teaches 3d printing & CAD. You shall be called 3d printer CAD Guru.
Perfect.
You can always take an axis from the origin gizmo too... just sayin'
This is the only function I can use , can't even learn dimention . It's useful making a pencil cap.
6:08 OOOHHHHHHHHHH so it's a UFO now lol
Ok, mindfuck at 4.17...
UFO fidget spinner LOL
Early
And satisfied
A warning for anyone using 360, you have to go through a bullshit autodesk sign up process including revealing your education location.

Ahhh, well I will have another look, I am dead against subscription based software or even software that requires internet to work.
Thanks dude.
It definitely needs internet. It'll run offline but saves to the cloud as well as regular updates.
Saves to the internet ? As in it sends my files to another computer be default ? Now that I wont allow.
