I’ve tried that process when I was in the US but I had J1 visa and the university told me that I need to get a F1 visa and because of the pandemic it will take a year or more to get the paperwork. Do you have any advise on how can I come back to the US using the CPT as the program to allows me work and study at the same time?
How is this even a way ? Most of the students are masters and if you miss 3 years of OPT , then even if you get a PhD , you will not get a single year of OPT and basically you are done for. Only option is to apply for a job in another country.

But with the CPT you were limited to 20 hours right? Also it’s good to mention that these master programs have mandatory internship to do and that’s why you’re allowed to CPT, if not you might received a RFE the next time you apply for opt or green card and then a denial

I am in a situation where this year was my last chance for H1-B, but unfortunately it dint get picked in the lottery. So I am going to start with Day 1 CPT. Yes it is Legal from my experience, I would suggest watch long my H1b denied 3 times video. Still at the end of the day I suggest doing your research and talking to a lawyer. I can vouch for Harrisburg Uni because I went there. If you need a referral to HU, I can help you. Good luck 🍀

but like day 1 CPT sounds like such an unappealing option to be honest i don't want to go for second masters' i think you should just go to canada for 1 year and apply l1b and come back to america. you get 5 extra years in USA to apply for h1b. isn't that nice? 5 more years? l1b has no cap. so if you apply it you will get it certainly. after 8 years of h1b lottery at 1/3 chance of winning you only have a 4% chance of rejection after your l1b so you can stay back.

hi few questions: 1) what happens if after masters also you dont get selected in the lottery, 2) if you get H1B visa, vailidity is 3 years, so what happens after that as the queue or green card is like 50-60 yeras now
1. You can go to day 1 cpt if H1B is not selected. 2. H1B you get 6 yrs, apply for GC during that time. Times keep changing for GC don’t worry about that 50 to 60 yr wait. Average time people are getting is 10 to 12 yrs.

Good idea, But Master of Science is the best way to go for now. MBA degrees only give you one year to work after graduation don't give you the choice to get sponsorship in USA. Master of science gives you the choice to work 3 years after studying and that's plenty of opportunity to get your visa sponsored.

What concentration of project management did you get your masters? I can see that this school has 4 concentrations. I'm an Environmental Engineer myself, so it should be close to yours. Lol jokers. If you are Indian and doing the h1b GC route you are the biggest fools. The only Indians who should plan on settling in the US are those with family based GC sponsorship. The rest of Indians will have to wait 75 years or more to get tut GC. Good luck homies 😂

Good Q, yes you have to be on CPT during that time, or in my case once my cpt got over I had to take two months break till my H1B kicked in

Yes they have been, you simply do 3rd masters. I had a friend who went though this got his H1B on 7th attempt.

No with CPT you can do 40 hrs per week for less than one year. If you use the entire year then it’s a problem..

I would get my second masters and use CPT to get my H1B....if you are passionate about studying then go for PHD.
