“Christmas in Our Hearts” has become the Yuletide anthem for Filipinos. This was on the PTX 2022 album Holiday Around the World. They partnered with artists like Lea Salonga for songs that represented their nationalities.
I love Pentatonix as much for who they are, as how they perform. They seem like such incredibly happy, positive, and generous people. They post frequent Tik Toks, behind the scenes clips, fun shorts. They share their lives with their fans - and it's family friendly - not that they don't drop profanity now and then, but they don't excessively sexualize their performances or song choices. We have literally watched them grow from teenagers to adult, watching as they improve and change. It's not just the music, it's feeling part of a larger community of fans. They never disappoint.
I think you will immensely enjoy their new version of “Oh Holy Night”, which they recently released with a video. I highly recommend it!

The flag of the Philippines does include gold star imagery: It has three golden stars, standing for the three main areas in the Philippines-the Luzon group of islands in the north, the Visayan group in the south, and the main southern island of Mindanao.
But I don't think that's the reason for their outfit.

Most of the recording was done separately but Lea was in LA and Scott got to sing with her in the studio the last verse. He was thrilled to be able to sing with her and thought she was amazingly down to earth.
Lea also asked for permission to touch Kirstin's pregnant tummy and did so. Kirstin told the story in a very cute way.
You should react to Lea’s Miss Saigon Audition next. That’ll blow your mind away!

Although the Philippine flag has yellow stars, I think the gold twinkle lights (echoed by the gold in their outfits) refer to stars, which is the traditional design of Philippine Christmas lanterns, called "parol" (pah-ROLL).

This is a beautiful song PTX is always played at home all year round but especially at Christmas time and my mum and daughter love them even took my daughter to see them when they toured Australia last march.

You'll start hearing it every September 1st.
Sondheim's old friends sitzprobe, It was realy wonderful when they did it in the Westend and soon will open it on broadway with headliners Bernadette Peters and Lea Salonga along with other Westend stars but I'm not sure if who will be the other casts fro the broadway production. They only announced Bernadette and Lea.

Darn Nick, today is the start of Spring or End of Winter, yet you make me listen to this Christmasy song which is one of Filipinos holiday anthems, it is making my day brighter. SO popular that when BER months come, tons of Jose Mari Chan memes on social media. Thanks for reviewing Lea's performance and I am learning those music lingo --- keep it coming. To answer your question, our flag is not related to those background visuals (Philippine flag has red, white, boue and yellow. You might be correct, those represents stars or lantern or parol (which is staple in Philippine decors on holiday). All the best, Nick!

I also prefer a clear, clean, bright, open sound and that is why I LOVE LEA SALONGA SO VERY MUCH! She's the epitome of what I want vocally! I wanted to leave a comment but I don't know if you go back and read your comments so I'm leaving it on your most recent videoIt happens to be about Pentatonix pentatonics. This past years college series Pentatonix saying the national anthem....... Many people are saying that it is as good as Whitney's performance. I don't know if you know this but Whitney's mother Cissy Was a backup singer for Elvis. She also was a backup singer for mahalia Jackson and Aretha Franklin. A Filipino singer/songwriter wrote and sang this song. He wanted to sing it with Lea Salonga, but Lea couldn't because of her contract.
A little fun fact...Kirstin was some 6 or more months pregnant at filming this. Probably one of the reasons they didn't show the ladies in anything but head shots.
She had some body shots in MV of Last Christmas filmed probably the same time, and it's somewhat noticeable
