I have an Italian TS, and an M1 Carbine with nasty dark grimy oily stocks. I will be trying this if I can come up with a long trough tank. I need to find an original piece of top wood for my 91 carcano the one on it is for a M28. has a groove for the band. I may just have to literally make one.
Hi there, try this - www.gunbroker.com/item/923671569 - You can keep whatever pieces you need and sell off the rest. As far as the stocks, if you cant get your hands on a trough, try a piece of gutter with the ends sealed shut. Add a source of low heat like one of those submersible water boilers and you now have a tank long enough to soak your stocks..Good luck!
