As an Irishman living in Australia, I see this an absolute win.
Are you a doctor?
As an aussie living in Ireland, it really hits home 🤣
You must be a doctor then!
Come home and help fight for change, replacement migration will wipe us out here soon otherwise.
Excuse me, Sea Swimming in Ireland is amazing, you just have to learn to disconnect every one of your nerve ending, increase your heart rate a hundred fold and bring an portable heater. Pretty simple stuff
Even the swimming pools are cold
@@foilarmsandhog Wait do the Irish have to hear the equivalent of "When I was your age, I had to walk to school uphill both ways, barefoot in the snow..." as "When I was your age, I had to swim the entire English Channel, both ways, freezing cold. . . . " ?
@@TheOReport1994the English channel is between England and France so I doubt make Irish people would swim across that to get to school, maybe the Irish sea
Sounds like Northern California coastal beaches
@@TheOReport1994I really did have to walk to school uphill both ways, so you better believe I'll be pulling that phrase out to shut down complaints in future years.
"punched in the face by a kangaroo/Conor McGregor... apparently it happens all the time!" 😆😆😆
I wish Hog had played both mums and just sat in the middle like that reacting! "The videos with all three of us are funnier." Next video, excludes Hog. Oh lads 😂
It was too late by then though! 😂 But yeah you're right 😂😂😂
You assume they want funnier. Maybe they've decided they're funny enough.
@@IntensivePorpoise Ouch...
@@SamFAHntha ah, was I wanting time travel? I suppose that is an unreasonable request...
@@IntensivePorpoise "They can't handle three-lads-funny. It'll be too much. We'll stick with two. We don't want people dying of laughter on our hands."
The timing in this is incredible BUT compliments to the set guru and resident lighting engineer, too. The set looks amazing and the warmer lighting for Australia adds a nice touch. Great attention to detail.
Thanks Emily!
@@foilarmsandhogI thought it all came naturally, no extra effort
Ah had to watch that twice to keep track everything on both sides but the 'ISLAND MENTALITY' tied it all together! Congratulations Arms, your accent was....as expected. Lovely to see all 3 of you in the outro - please bring back the outros and doomdah!
hahah good man Jim. A vote is a pint
"As Expected...!" Ouch! 😂
From an Aussie that was pretty spot on 😂
"A goat".... "with a goat". Ok, laughed at that 3 times now. Sometimes it's the simple ones 😂
I laughed so much in the office when I wrote this, that the lads put it in the sketch out of pity
Aaah, it is funny.
@@foilarmsandhogThis has made me laugh all the more. Thank you! 😂
Aren't more sheep🐏🐑 in Ireland than goats🐐 ? 🤔
@@foilarmsandhog 🤣
As a mainland European living in Ireland, I can confirm the Irish run around in shorts in 1 degrees as well.
* _One degree? Above freezing? So_ ?" *sneers in Canadian*
When you plan to make a witty joke in the comments about Arms doing a great New Zealand accent, but he beats you to it. 🤣
I think that's possibly what he was hoping for 😂
haha, I robbed you of your insults, muhahahah
NZ immigration video teaser?
@@foilarmsandhog Maybe that Kiwi phrasebook I gave you helped? 😉
As a junior in an Australian hospital it's so true about how many Irish doctors we have, especially the juniors. They're great though, love Irish people very friendly and great sense of humour
Me as a non-native English speaker: prepares popcorn and waits for native English speakers' comments on Arms' accent 😂😂
Arms, if it means anything, to me you sounded like an Australian 😊😁
It does, it means a lot, screw the haters lol
I trust a koala way more than a goat, cuz koalas are basically tree huggers high on eucalyptus, and goats are devils who will headbutt any moving thing 🤣
I was still terrified holding one
@@foilarmsandhog Don't underestimate a goat, they have the tongue like a sandpaper and will chew on anything
@@foilarmsandhog I really wish they would stop that…koalas have a slow metabolism because they basically digest poison all day and being manhandled is way more stressful for them than many other animals.
lol Had a Koala in our backyard, Claws the size of a mans fingers and sounds like a demon in mating season. Also have a friend that tried to pick one up on the side of the road, the Koala ripped his calf open to the bone... Tree huggers indeed lol
Ahhh, the famous Australian drop bears again, lol
I'm Polish, I live in the Netherlands, never been to either Ireland or Australia... but I still truly loved it, you guys have a real talent. A short video by Foil Arms and Hog, a day becomes bright. I honestly believe that you might be a reincarnation of Monthy Python
I don't know why but I find sketches like these really funny! I think it is the synchronisation of the dialogue. It highlights the differences and similarities really well and makes it all the more funny!
Bet you weren't expecting comedy analysis on a Thursday morning! I certainly wasn't!
Thanks Jenny, Foils brain child, and it was very hard to learn
As a Mexican man living in Belgium, I confirm this is 100% accurate.
All I can say is, both Australia and Ireland has the best insults in all of Anglo speaking family - the words eejit and galah are fun.
Do you pronounce it Gar-lah or Gul-lah?
They also have the best accents.
@@SamFAHntha The latter, emphasis on '-lah'
@@SamFAHntha'GullAH'
what the heck is galah? Heading to Google now
Sketch idea: Influencer Dad at Alexi's first communion
Imagine, my god.
But they could do Johnos/ Jonno's? confirmation first.
@@Ensign_RoqueHard Lads revival: The return of The Priest and his associate The Altar Man
Yes!
As an Aussie living in Éire, I see this as an absolute win
I think they prefer you just say Ireland???
Éire is Irish for Ireland ...
@@nicolad8822 Maybe some people. Maybe not others. I grew up mostly in Wales and I know there were people who didn't like to embrace Welsh culture and the Welsh language, but I think it's really important.
Hi Arms! Bit of news for you- my business teacher played one of your sketches in class yesterday- "Insurance Nightmare" 😂 To be fair i did send it to her, but it was so surreal 😅 Anyways, CLASS video ❤😂
Wow! Nice one! Hope they liked the tall dark stranger bit
@@foilarmsandhog Yeah, I TOLD HER ABOUT THAT BIT BEFOREHAND BUT SHE FORGOT 🫠🥲🫣
The cuts and coordination were amazing!
It's true - they are both different and the same. I had to slow down the video to get all the references. My best bit was both the freezing and roasting at 18°! 🤣
I'm happy to see how you made use of the camera and sound effects from both the gambling vs shares sketch and the catching COVID sketch. I really enjoyed it! 🤣🤣
Ah yes, exactly like the catching one you're right
ALL THE BEST WITH A MILLION SUBSCRIBERS! Much deserved and you have to get that Plaque this year.
I read that as plague at first 😂
Plaque, yes! Very much deserved!!
No plague please😂
@@SamFAHntha LMAO NOT THE PLAGUE
“Island mentality” HAHAHA I’m definitely using that at my next UK Visa interview
Ireland mentality
Seems like the only place where Irish feel home from home in Australia is... a hospital?))
I'd say with the state of our health service, they definitely don't feel at home
In Sydney, the discount high-end homeware stores have been staffed by Irish lasses. I've also come across a few Irish dentists.
Nah, they don't let ye drink in hospital. 🙃
Irish doctors don't let you drink? Are they really Irish??
Gonna have to bring yer own trolley bed soon lol
The magic of travelling without moving from the office😂, love your sets... thank you for such a great start of the day
If only they could tour like that 😂
Good for them, not so much for us but... 😂
Holograms. 5 gigs at the same time, home in time for dinner.
@@foilarmsandhog the future is mostly lasers, it'll happen soon enough.
That's not the worst attempt at an Aussie accent I've heard. Good onya mate!
That's not the worst compliment I've read here either 😂
99%of US show hosts do a lot worse.
Amazingly Gabriel Iglesias (Fluffy) did a good job in one of his skits.
As an Aussie living in the capital.... you could not be more right and the accent is spot on Arms!! props to whoever wrote this one ❤
Sounds like it was mostly Foil with a few additions by the other two!
I know they have names but like... 😂
Ooooh, that was a new concept very well done, lads!! Thanks for the laughs this morning!
No problem!
It's great how committed Foil is to authenticity - wearing shorts even though we were never going to see them 😉
True to his craft
So cleverly put together, but also so clever that it took me three times watching it to get myself orientated properly in the sketch.
As an ex-Brit who became an Aussie and went back to England for a visit, I was asked what I could recommend in New Zealand. I looked puzzled and the person said, ‘well you’re from NZ so…’ I laughed and said I was English born and bred but lived in Australia. I always knew my mixed accent was awful but didn’t think it was that confusing. For the record I do not sound like a Kiwi. No one got me mixed up when I went to New Zealand.
Brilliantly done! It's fun to see you try a new type of sketch, and this sort of synchronization makes it feel extra fancy somehow. Little details like the different lighting colours add to the effect as well. It was nice to have an outro and Doomdah back as well!
"So much rust" 😂😂😂
Hahaha!! I LOVE it!
I do genuinely think the Irish-Kiwi link is slightly closer than the Irish-Aussie one in many ways, but I’ll let you have your fun 😄
Well of course you do Charlie
Australia has a much bigger Irish ancestry than New Zealand, which is more Scots
@@youtube_omaro1879Very true, NZ is much more like Scotland culturally than Ireland.
The accent in New Zealand also used to sound more Irish. We still have remnants of this in the South Island where it's more common for people to roll their R's, exactly like the Irish.
Yes because new Zealand had more irish abd Scottish immigration whereas Australia is mostly English. You can hear it in the accents too
Oh they knew they'd get us going with the Australia and New Zealand thing 😂 much love from Aotearoa
Lads, I loved this one again. Please, keep the paced ones up! Thanking you in advance! 😉❤
I'm not sure about Foil's accent. Arms is spot on and Hogs too, but Foil needs maybe a bit of work. 😛
So in sync! Impressive :)
We have been working together so long we finish each others...

Two countries, same vibe! Love it!❤
It’s not called a “bag of wine” it’s a “Goon Sack” 😂
Amazing, oen of the best sketch ever with superb editting. 🎉
1:30 I love how New Zealanders say “Drama”.
Did he say that? Thought he just said 'I'm from New Zealand'.. maybe I missed something 🙆
@@tanyacobb9636 No, I was referring to the accent, not what Arms was saying.
@@PokhrajRoy. Haha. You mean with the sneer of sarcasm..? Yes, i think we do that very well 😏
I love how they say "deck" tho
And then, hog just broke the illusion of frames when they were just 3 meters apart. Haha.
By then it was all said and done haha
Still, I am heartbroken. First I find out Santa wasn't real and now this?? What a terrible week...
Perfectly done and very very funny! Happy Thursday!
This was absolutely great, loved it!
I'm a Brit. After travelling around Australia I was actually inspired to visit Ireland for the first time as a) I'd had fun partying with Irish backpackers and b) I thought is was stupid I'd been to the other side of the world and not been to the country next door. Had a lovely time but sorry your weather sucks!
Top notch creativity and delivery. I loved every second of it
That was bloody brilliant.
I like how you both have your shirts matched with your eye colours!
It's exam week at university and this new sketch is just what I needed to calm my nerves. I love it, it reminds me of gambling vs. shares. Getting a glimpse of the set there, I wonder whether you filmed both parts at the same time or separately. Either way, the timing is amazing.
And the doomdah, it's back! Happy Thursday, everyone
Same here. Last exam is tomorrow 🎉
Definitely the best Aussie accent I've heard on the channel so far! While it is fun to shit on people for it, we know our accent is a really tricky one for foreigners to get right, so you get an A for effort from me Arms 👍 Love ya work as always fellas
I’d say Arms’ accent is a combination of Australian, South African and New Zealand accents, but an Australian accent is quite difficult for non-Aussies to master. FWIW, I love your Irish accents! Fun sketch!
This may be contra-intuitive, but to sound convincingly Australian you have to speak entirely through your mouth. No nasality _at all._
Love it. such a well planned out skit.
Such good boys calling their mothers after the 20th message from her
Finaly he decides to call...😅😊
Absolutely. I then I have the cheek to be annoyed if she's like "ohh sorry can I call you back"
Ah lads, this was easily one of the best ever! Well done, you're absolute gems.
Rapid fire! I’ll have to watch this many times to get it all
Nice to see ye olde sewing machine in the background.
(Yes, yes, I know it's not a sewing machine. But have the Lads worked that out yet?)
You'd like to THINK so 😂😂😂

I always thought we Aussies were tough. 'Til I lived in Dublin and saw all those folks down at Dun Laoghaire literally swimming in the middle of winter. In freezing cold water that I couldn't even dip my toes in. Huge respect.
How do you even pronounce that Dun... what?
@@AndreiBerezinyeah it's a bit of a funny one but it's "dun leery"

They're so much fun aren't they! Little hard to keep up with, but I think that's just me. It only means I get to watch it over and over like it's a brand new sketch though 😂😂😂

Ah remember it well!!
Loved this
Man the "none of the doctors in the Irish hospital are Irish" hits too close to home...
Same here in New Zealand but also I get the idea that most of the Doctors are not Doctors and have fake Visas.
At least the goat (presumably) wasn't riddled with chlamydia.
This is fabulous!
Brilliant guys! As an Aussie living in Scotland I can sorta see both sides of this. So true.
J aime beaucoup ce format !😊

sea swimming in Ireland is my favourite swimming, its fucking freezing but thats the fun of it and when you go down for a swim you'll see people from ages 7 to 90 gone for their morning swim, and if you hesitate the 80 year old woman with the flower swim hat laughs at you 😂
Will this be a new format?
It's really good ❤

Are there innovation prices for theatre? That synchro format is wicked and very well executed.
Even Arms’ ‘Doomdah’ sounded Aussie! The only correction i’d make is hardly anyone watches Home and Away in Australia.
