Nice work, I am heading to Micro Center now to stock up for "tonight's project", thank you for guide. Your technique and tools look so professional that I hope you don't mind a small critique. Wear gloves. That's it, just wear gloves. Not only to prevent recontamination of a your freshly cleaned electronics, but also because it makes clean up a breeze. I use one of my used gloves, inside out, as a small trash bag. Thermal compound and plastic trash cans don't play nice with one another. Peace
Hey! im looking to go back from liquid cooling to air and cant find concrete numbers for the pad thicknesses. This video seems to line up with comments from other videos about 1,2 and 3mm pads. i did notice that you mentioned something about forgetting pads in certain spots. Could you do some imgur links to specifically where you forgot with what mm was used in that location using the video footage here? i dont really know where you forgot to add anything. Thanks! Theres just not any videos that fully say "Here is Xmm" "Next one with Xmm".
Bro I was change the pads and a fan on a evga 3080 ftw3 now it gives me a code 43 gpuz will read everything except clock and memory values. Fans spin and it turns on. Any ideas what could be wrong
I hope I can help some people years later..... the xc3 is built for smaller cases.... also the fan curve is all wrong.... you can legit just reclock the fan curve and fix the problem.. yes im sure the pads do help ..
I just used which ever one I had. But the 4 screws that hold the gpu core did kinda get eaten up. Well one screw. From now on I will make sure I use the right size. Sorry I don’t have the exact size.

hola no se debe de tocar los pad termios en la superfique que apoya en las memorias o en el disipador con los dedos porque pierden rendimientos.
