- Hard mode speedrun of The Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse, SNES NTSC-U version, done on BizHawk 1.11.3 (non-TAS of course). Timing is SDA-style, it starts when gain control of Mickey and ends when Pete receives the final hit.
Solid run. I'm glad I achieved my sub-15:50 goal with this game. There are several mistakes though: two seconds lost in 1-3, one in 4-2 and two in 5-boss. Besides, a few levels could have been a bit faster, such as 3-2 and 6-3. I think 15:40 is possible with a near-perfect run (maybe even sub).

I'm 31 years old now. I remember spending weeks playing this game when I was probably 5. It's just crazy it's beatable so fast haha

This gameplay made me feel dummy for having taken waaay more time than him to clear it when i was a kid... he's truly an expert. Kudos.
Love seeing all those nicknames in the end credits... Makes me nostalgic for a time when game devs were more like supernerds rather than highly skilled technicians working an assembly line.
Yeah... "Tall Nob" is also in the Aladdin credits :D

One of my all time favorite games. I loved playing this and the mountain world was always my favorite.
World 5 has such a peaceful soundtrack and background with the stars, sky, and ice. great memories of this one!

Holy cow I had no idea there was a secret there in the 2nd mountain level. I was most excited to see the robin hood game play and this player did not disappoint! I definitely will try to improve my time in this game. I won't try it in hard mode yet though lol.

So was this a legit speed run? I don’t know how one person can run through the whole game without a normal person seeing a mistake. Brings back the good old time when there was nothing to worry about.
This was played on an emulator, but it is a legit speedrun. Some noticeable mistakes are: not climbing the last winged platform quickly in 4-2 (1 second lost), and missing a big magic shot at the world 5 boss. There are also known possible improvements in 1-1 and 4-1. I'll try to get sub-15:40 someday.

Man your appsalutly incredible I can't believe you beat a ledgend in speedrunning by so much you smashed his record by 30 seconds almost you destroyed darbians time now darbian I don't think was that much into it as much as the others like Mario 1 and smashing all 6 Mario classic games in an hour and destroying lost levels and optimizing the appsalute hell out of dragster but still holly you still destroyed a ledgend in a game that's incredible man how often do you play games like 10 hours a day you should be way more popular
That was my very first game, on my very first console. (I played the GBA version) I love seeing it as part of a speedrun.
If only capcom can remaster this game.

That's because fully charged magic shots deal a lot of damage (4 times as much as a jump or a non-charged magic shot) ;)

👏nice job on the bird. The climbing suit is the safest, but the magic turban is the fastest. You did a good job on taking the advantage of the straight line winds.

There I'm holding a block, and I let the boss hit me. This makes me release the block which hits the boss immediately. It's a strategy which makes the last hit as fast as possible :)
So you killed the boss by hitting your self
