EXCELLENT review giving the REAL about your experience. Many try to sugar coat things. Hearing what you ACTUALLY went through is very help full. These were exactly some of the questions I wanted answers to before checking out MSC.
We really appreciate that! The recognition of our hard work really puts a big ol smile on our faces so thank you 🥂
@@BoatBreakersNJ trust me, as a fellow content creator, I get it...
🙏🔥
This was one of the most thorough reviews on MSC we’ve seen! Thank you for all of this. Lots of interesting points-still have yet to try it but when we do, we know which bathroom we will be using! 😅
Hahaha thank you! It’s definitely a unique trip for sure, try to get a yacht club😉
I have had some of a different experience with msc. 90 percent all great. I feel the food on msc is just as equivalent to carnival. Just edible, besides that msc way better cruise line. I did 55 cruises with carnival left them now staying with msc. 10 more cruises booked with msc.
What other ships are you booked on? We were curious about it but we figured going on the newest ship would have given us the best insight.
@BoatBreakersNJ we just finished 1 on the msc seaside. Msc meraviglia, we did that ship 4 times in past 6 months. We are doing meraviglia again out of Brooklyn in September. Then seaside, then seashore. We are booked out as far as world America coming in 2025. Just a little FYI, meraviglia has the best dinning plan and cheapest of all ships out of USA.
Thank you for your review. It’s very helpful for us to decide whether to try For the first time with Msc cruises or not.
Glad it was helpful, what did you end up deciding?!
Great information! Thank you 🙏🏾
Glad it was helpful, let us know if you have any questions Jessica!
Thanks for your insight great vlog going in November
You’re welcome! The ship is amazing and honestly any vacation is going to be fun so you’ll definitely enjoy it 🥂
FANTASTIC review...thank you!
Glad you liked it Jonathan, thank you for watching!
Great review! Sailed MSC on another ship and agree with all your points. Biggest complaint was the Yacht Club taking up half the forward top decks. I never got a forward view of the sea as we sailed.
Thank you!! We are very passionate about our reviews so we appreciate the kind words! Darn rich people 😡
Man, interesting review. No cap on drinks is not limited to MSC. I have sailed MSC on different ships. I last sailed on the Seashore, had a great cruise. I am booked again in a couple months on Seascape. Interesting comment from the bartender. Not everyone drinks alcohol. Ive sailed multiple ctuise lines. There are pros and cons to each ship. Happy sailing to everyone out there cruising.
Thank you for this detailed review! This was the only I found that truly helped me make an informed decision about whether or not to try MSC (NOT...until I can afford Yacht Club!)
Glad it was helpful Valencia, that’s where we’re at as well! Unfortunately you definitely have to pay to have a good time on MSC
Great video.
Im out, just because of the air-conditioning.
I do not want to sweat on my vacation 😅
I understand Lynne, trusttttt me we usually don’t get hot and it was bad in some parts.
A very real review. I sailed on Seascape and I agreed on everything was said here.
Thanks Vic, we try to be as unbiased as possible!
So they want you so drunk that you won’t notice you’ve been bamboozled 😂. I don’t like to drink all my calories so I would have lost it. I know you all made the best of it though. Awesome review.
Thank you Auntie! Yeah they just try to get you all licked up so you don’t notice anything LOL
We did the Yacht club last year and we thought it was amazing! We booked 3 more 7-day yacht club cruises because it was so great. If you look for a deal in Yacht club they are out there and to me it makes far more sense and can be less money then buying everything individually. For example we paid $1,129 pp for 7 nights in yacht club with everything included in that price wifi, premium drink package etc... Sure you could book a regular room for say $600 - $800 but by the time you pay for wifi, drink packages, etc.. aren't you going to be nearly $1,000 anyways? You don't get the rest of the goodies in the yacht club either. I'm not rich and I'm not flying first class on an airplane they typically want $500 more per leg on flights for first class that's insane to me for 1-3 hours on a plane.. But $1,200 total to get treated like royalty ("yacht club" > "First Class" any day) all week long 24 hrs a day! Way more value there in my mind!
Hey thanks for that info! You know what acty Clint, a friend literally just said the same exact thing... It's better than flying first class! I guess I have to look for a 3 nighter or something so I can afford it! I definitely definitely will try to do this soon!
I went on a royal Caribbean cruise in October and I had some of the most disgusting food I’ve ever had on a cruise ship. I will be sailing MSC in two months. We’ll see how it compares. THANKS for the info 😊
Omg perfect! Please report back, people were mad at me 😡 I think the best steak house on all cruise lines was MSC for me! Buttttt, the MSC buffet sucked.
Will do!@@BoatBreakersNJ
How was the food in the specialty dining areas? Was it good or worth the upcharge?
The steakhouse was the best I have ever had on all cruise lines
Fantastic review! I definitely think that MSC would not be good for me. I like having all of the different food options and air conditioning. I do agree that they should have more drinks available cold and not warm. I wouldn’t want to not have a cap for drink limit. I think that could just be dangerous.
Thank you Brittani! Oh man, the no cap was super dangerous for us.
So we're first time cruisers, my wife and I along with our kids (3 teens and a 10yr old) booked 2 different cruise lines for a 7 day cruise next spring, MSC Divina & Discovery Princess...Still can't decide which to confirm, any advice?
Hey John, personally I think the kids would have more fun on MSC but for the adults I know I would say Princess. MSC is definitely more family friendly.
Princess hands down! We sailed the Divina earlier this year and didn’t like the ship at all. We had sailed previously on MSC but this was not a good experience. Just sailed on Princess to Alaska and the service was great. Oh and btw, the MSC app wasn’t supported on Divina which in this day and age is a joke. The Princess app worked great and the medallion experience was cool and worked good for us. Hope this helps
We just did Seascape in June and had a great time. I will give you the calamari was chewy but we are not foodies so we always found something good to eat. Truthfully, we didn't deal with a lot of those other issues either other than long elevator waits. I think we are easy going travelers and are not as picky as seasoned cruisers. No offense. And in my opinion their main stage shows are cheesy for sure.
I agree Paul! No offense taken... We are just trying to put together the best review we can! Of course we still had a blast!! I ate kids chicken nuggets like everyday lol
How come no one talks about the pool deck. Maybe we’re boring but we love setting up shop in the sun and just enjoying drinks and fresh air all day. How much space is up there. How is the music? I can’t find any review for that.
There’s a few large pools, the main pool is really crowded and pretty small. The adults area pool is nice and the jungle pool is way too humid when the roof is closed. The main pool area is the only one with music.
Just got off of Seaside. Ocean Cay was amazing. Food in the MDR and buffet was not good, shows were ok, staff were great most of the time, ship layout was confusing. Not sure MSC is for us. We plan to try Yacht Club to see if that yields a better experience.
Thanks for sharing, if we ever do MSC again it would have to be in yacht club.
Thank you for your video. I started filtering out MSC from my cruise searches a few years ago and because of their prices, occasional 0% single supplements, and good value for suites, I was wondering if I should reconsider. My interests are simple yet exacting. Good food, cold beer and soft drinks, and good music. Sounds like MSC is still a hard pass.
Glad it was helpful! Unfortunately, we want what we want haha
I am getting yacht club the trick to get yacht club at a reasonable price is get a interior room.I feel our price is very reasonable 😊
That’s good to know, we started to look into it and it’s definitely more expensive than a regular room but seems like it could be worth it!
Totally doing this one day. Looks amazing
I was on msc seaside, my room stayed at 66 where I left it every day. They will make you a double if you ask its great.
Thank you 🙏
@BoatBreakersNJ always keep your card from msc last cruise and just leave it in the slot and if you don't have one you can buy the swipe bracelet and leave your card in the room slot to leave a/c on. The only time you will need your card is to get off the ship in port.
Excellent 👌 Does the room steward care usually?
@BoatBreakersNJ they never removed our spare card, plus we asked them to only make up room in the evening.
Is the included drinks a thing of the past? My cruise is set for 5 months from now and no drinks are included.
Hey! I think it depends on the email offers, we just got sent another offer today for free drinks and Wi-Fi included. I would call the cruise line and try to get that added in.
I've seen "free drinks and Wi-Fi" After you pay an extra $200 a person.
That is correct you’re paying the gratuity on what the drink package would have cost. It still saves a few hundred dollars a person when you book with that offer.
Was there a formal night that you had to wear a suit? My wife and I are going on our first cruise with MSC in March
They had a formal night, you don’t have to wear a suit. We did but people wore just polos and we’re fine to eat in the MDR
Isn’t Green Wave dining room open for lunch?
Only for seadays!
thanks for the truth
Absolutely our pleasure! Let us know if you have any questions 😊
Pretty much agree with everything you said...We did a 3 night MSC cruise (Seaside) a month ago & we've booked another (Seascape) for next year--7 nights, but this time we're doing Yacht Club!
Oooo they got moneyyyy. Yacht club is definitely on the bucket list but man it’s pricey.
For me was a great experience,,, im Sorry for u
No worries! We still had an amazing time 😁
