1st time on a cruise this was very informative

What does “drink gratuities” mean? Is there other type of gratuities?

Me and my wife are staying in separate rooms, so i could get away with 1 drink package. Each of us would have about 4-6drinks typically over an entire day. How practical it is to buy drinks for multiple people off 1 package? For eg. I order a beer first and then get a cocktail in few mins later for my wife and bring it to her? Never been to a cruise before so wondering if this is doable? Any pro tips would help. Thanks

Thank you for this updated review. I booked with this ship because of the destination for my birthday celebration. I was concerned because it's a little older and I've mainly sailed on the newer larger ships. I appreciate this review and will come back to give my comments after the vacation.

What I really love about the older ships is they are so fancy! They're such beautiful ships. I was on the sailing before the smoke stack caught on fire the first time.

so I am planning a cruise with 3 adults. I would drink the most and the other guess drink less but do want a few drink here or there. We would be staying in the same room however. will that drink trick work? I get my drink and bring back to room to share with my guess or because its in the same room it doesnt work? Im sorry but the drink packets make things out of budget . Not to mention the daily gratuity per person per day you have to pay now 3 whole cheer packages .. is this worth it for 5 days or 7 days ?

Exorbitant priced drink package is of no interest whatsoever to a non-drinker, many of whom are in the cruise.

Cruise ship was amazing, elevator was always full used the stairs. Will be going back very soon. Turned the air con off was very cold. Time difference from UK 6 hours kept waking up at 3am hungry had to wait until 6am , only problem no coffee making facilities in cabin. Will look at the Yacht club.

Given you have already paid the gratuity on the $10, double charging it on the whole amount is a total scam when you get drinks over that $10 price. We got the classic included on our upcoming 12 night cruise, I cannot begin to drink 12 nights running, and only have a couple a night. I like whiskey but hey, Monkey Shoulder is very good it will do me fine and the beers are fine. Maybe I would upgrade if on a short cruise.

I had premium and was getting grey goose but I actually prefer the Smirnoff so moved onto that half way through the cruise! So didn’t actually need the premium. 😅 I got my moneys worth anyway! 😂

the sunrise is a cursed ship. it's history precludes ever having a good time on this vessel. make other plans. this stinker is due for another misery cruise. personally, i will never use carnival again.

Hi Guys! Stephen, from Bradenton FL. Going on the Glory in December. First time going solo 😊. I see the Glory as the Freedom less the Red Frog Pub. I do believe it has the Seafood Shack (additional cost dining) which I usually enjoy. Spend a lot of time in the Heroes Bar (veteran). Hint, running out of your drink count…Heroes Tribute Cocktail…killer…Beefeater Gin, Skyy Cherry Vodka, Flor de Caña Rum,1800 Silver Tequila, Triple Sec, Starry, Blue Curaçao….in a single dink. Only available at Heroes. Be careful! The experience, as you stated, is based around your expectations and what you ae looking for. I like the appeal of the smaller ships, even though the ships like Mardi Gras have a lot going on, almost too much. Find myself chasing from one even to another…whew! This trip I will most likely spend a lot of time on the Serenity Deck (chill time!). Costs, yep, certainly agree on that one. Enough said. Love everything you guy do. Keep it going! Happy cruising….
