FOOTAGE IS GOOD ENOUGH, MUSIC IS GREAT... talking about the song being totally interrupted.. that's my fave by them.. was waiting for the guitar solo. no biggie, what happened?
the thing that i luved about these ladies that all of them could sing like realy sing..all of them had their own unique voices..and they all show cased it with singing their own songs....awesome
Awesome, saw them in Salinas and was in front row with 5 of my friends. All night they were winking at us and smiling. We were 17 and thought they dug us 😂😂😂😂
No Gioia... but I remember back in the day when she was pregnant. I always wondered who Julie Albers was... and she immediately had a place in my heart. Gosh I loved them... still do, so much, so so much.
Thats Julie Albers of fellow Miami girl group, Company B ("Fascinated") in black hair, who temporarily replaced Gioia while she was on maternity leave.
Thank you for uploading this piece of American history Vonn. I love these women. Fantastic artistic performers. Their South FL band rocked it too, and.........they had the best view 🎸🥁🎹😊
... you are very welcome, I was lucky to have my friends video camera and I wish I could have gotten closer but it was really packed that spring break night, and yes their band was awesome and how lucky for those of us that got to see them with a live band, went to see them a couple of years ago in Dallas got to meet them and hang out and I told them about the video :-)
I think that is great footage and audio for the time. I was at this show. It was one of my 2 trips to Padre spring break (87 & 88). I can't believe I survived those to trips between going to Matamoras, living on beer and raw oysters, and the unmentioned lunacy that went on. But it was all in fun. LOVE that I was a teenager in the 80s!
So glad I got to see Expose on this same tour, later that summer at the Michigan State Fairgrounds in Detroit. It was the last night of the tour and I do recall they mentioned that Gioa was on maternity leave, and that it was Julie Alber’s last night subbing with the band. Was very cool to see them do that Motown medley in the D! They had a different drummer for the Detroit show, but pretty sure the rest of the band was the same guys.
I was bartending that night at the bar closet the stage and the guitar shaped pool. I bartender through the 80’s on South Padre at the Yacht Club, Scampi’s, Bermuda’s, Louies Backyard and of course Charlie’s. It was everything you can imagine being a young handsome bartender on South Padre during the 80’s, I’m lucky I didn’t catch HIV to be honest. Spring Break was nothing but a drunken sex filled haze! Lol. Expose set a record for people through the door in a Texas club at the time and a record amount was made that night in just cover charge. The group was really big at the time and we were lucky to book them.
W. Michael Price ... dude that is awesome, yeah I was at South Padre Island for the spring breaks up until 1988 before I I move to Dallas, those were the best times for the best bands Cheap Trick Starship the band Triumph from Canada which I have video on this channel as well, and I love hanging out at Charlie's Paradise fucking bar... Yeah I bet you had lots of action during those times yeah I'm glad you didn't catch HIV too LOL
W. Michael Price ... hey by the way do you have any pictures during spring break South Padre Island from any year or just anytime bartending there at the island?
The audio is really good considering when this was recorded. I've been listening to them the last couple days. All 3 ladies have different voices and I think they are the best group to come out of freestyle music.
... thanks I appreciate it and yeah I was so lucky to have brought my friends video camera to record the show I tried to get a little better spot that it was so packed cuz it was spring break LOL
Yes, awesome, VONN. Is great seeing Ann rip through "I Know You Know"!!! And also seeing "Extra, Extra" performed live as well !!! It's too bad that song was interrupted though.(whatever the reason)
Check out the original version of "Extra Extra" performed by the first line up in 1985! Very rare! ua-cam.com/video/AFPeYAaRdRc/v-deo.html&feature=share
Joe, did i tell you that jeanette jurado graduated from my high school el rancho high school pico rivera i graduated in 1988 she graduated i think 1985 anyway my friend knew her and jeanette threw a house party in pico and my friend took me it was insane power 106 was there l.a radio station stacey q was there was a blast.
Yeah, she sounds awesome. In fact, she sounds like she's been recorded in a studio everytime she sings live. It's really remarkable. I mean seriously, she may be the best ever.
... I haven't watch this video in full in quite some and I'm laughing my ass off cuz it kind of reminds me of nowadays taking video of concerts with your phone and not remembering the show until you watch the video back LOL Well at least I took a video and have some memory of it, although it was tough fighting the spring break crowd trying to stay still #GoodTimes
Charlie’s was the largest Spring Break Night Club. Loved going there after the beach all day. Sadly they closed it and made a waterpark on the beach instead. Dumb. Saw Vanilla Ice & The Toadies there. Still have an album full of pictures. Good Times!
@@jcorral2 i will have to look around & open some boxes. i lived in SA my whole life until last year. i moved outta state, but i do remember packing that photo album. it might be a little while, but I’ll hit u up whn i find it. Peace.
At 19:30 Jennette really really sound Good with the Supremes " Baby Love" . As a matter of fact..I feel Jennette really makes the GROUP!!! I'm sorry..but I only like the Songs Jennette Sings Lead. That's the way it is..Dig It???
I NEVER HEARD THAT THEY MADE A COVER FROM DIANA ROSS THAT SHE USE TO BELONG TO BUT ANYWAYS GOOD JOB EXPOSE ROCKS ALWAYS THE BEST FEMALE GROUP EVER I LOVE THEM SO MUCH
What I wouldn't give to be the drummer at their concerts. Playing an acoustic/electric Yamaha hybrid! I play the drums in real-life and have done this song many times.
The problem is I don't know what his name is because I want to see videos of his drumming style, I'm a skilled drummer. I'm not sure if I would hook up with any of them because I don't feel it in me anymore..and I'm turning 26 in 3 weeks. Hooking up is overrated. Just drumming for them would be sex.
... dude if you're turning 26 and dont feel it in you anymore to hook up with anyone down the road then you must really be old LOL ... hooking is never overrated (unless it just turns out bad) ... and remember dating can be overrated too, and getting married can be overrated ... its all in your "expectation level" ... besides i never said hookup for just one night and i never said "any of them" just Jeanette ;) LOL ha
I know what you mean, I'm an old soul who enjoys music from years ago like this and around when I was born. Anything released after 2010 is not music, it sounds like someone scratching their nails on a chalkboard.
... hey @matthew so i did a little digging around and contacted EXPOSE ... one member got back to me saying that they all think it was a guy named STEVE MONREAL ... so i searched for him and found he plays for a band called THE LA BLUE BAND ... facebook.com/THE-LA-BLUE-BAND-165000566854312/ ... so i asked them and they said yes that he played for EXPOSE and that they were gonna ask him if he was the drummer in this video ... so again all of Expose say it was him
... yes I believe I stated in my post early on that it is not Giola as she was on maternity leave during that time of the tour, and yes her voice is definitely without a doubt unique.
It's obvious who Jennette copied when she was 5-6 years old holding her Mom's Hair Brush 4 a 🎤 .. Diana Ross was who she wanted to BE. Not ah bad choice.
The music in let me be the one sounds awesome here better life than on the recording The Supremes cover is grotesque and should have never been performed
DECEMBER ONE OF MY FAVORITES SONGS FROM EXPOSE THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER FEMALE GROUP SO SENSASIONAL LIKE THEM
Props to Expose for doing LIVE!! Janette Jurado sounds great!! It’s sooo hard to sing and dance at THAT LEVEL….WOW!!!!!! Incredible!
yeah for sure they were awesome
I agree they all can sing and continuously send chills when you see and hear them since day 1.
yeah i know the footage is not that good, the camera was a very old school recorder but yeah at least i documented this moment in time :)

Good singing on Gioia's songs. It's the only time I've seen December performed.

Good Vintage Retro of Expose (Freestyle will go on forever)

Probably the best Live version of December on youtube.

Yes! But with Gioia, even better!
And I would STILL prefer an Exposé party to any other artist ever!
The Exposed to Love album is so much fun.
I was a toddler back then but I still feel nostalgic lol

Lead singer on seasons change a very good singer this is live and she still sounds very good
that would be jeanette jurado. she sang most of the leads throughout the entire expose recordings.
Yeah, she sounds awesome. In fact, she sounds like she's been recorded in a studio everytime she sings live. It's really remarkable. I mean seriously, she may be the best ever.
She is great and underrated. The group is in general. Love them.
Thanks for uploading this vintage video!!!!
for all haters, cameras back then was not what we have now

I saw this tour in Long Island. What a great album and style that they had
