On the evening of Jan. 18, 2011, Disney premiered the new "Magic, Memories, and You!" projection show on Cinderella Castle for attending media during a special event. The show combines guest photos with stunning, colorful, and animated projections that span the entire surface of the castle.
The time lapse castle was quite amazing
Thinking about it rn, this show should've been brought for the 50th anniversary. It has everything that the 50th anniversary should be about, making memories and honoring them. The beacons of light is fine but I much prefer this.
I just got back home from our family trip this past week and this show was a beautiful ending to our trip. Glad we waited to visit Magic Kingdom. Absolutely an amazing way to cap off the trip. Thanks for posting the video.
The end with the fireworks popping out of the castle was amazing!
I cannot wait to see this in person. I think this is a beautiful addition to the nighttime entertainment. In my opinion- Disney has another hit with this.
I was there the night this was filmed, I just started my college program working there in Walt Disney World so to see something new for Disney and also the start of something new in my life, it all made me cry, and every time i watch this it just bring back all the amazing wonderful memories. Disney you never cease to amaze me.
Every time that little mickey balloon floats upthe castle spires, and that melody plays, man that gets me.... Right in the heart, man. I saw this show on my first night there, and I cried like a baby, and I am right now too
I VERY PROUD TO BE PART OF THIS DREAMS, I'M A CAST MEMBER, I LOVE MY JOB, I LOVE KIDS AND THEIR FAMILIES, I LOVE MY BOSS, MR. WALTER ELIAS DISNEY, SIR, I'M VERY PROUD OF YOU!!! THANKS FOR MADE THE DREAMS OF EVERYBODY COME TRUE, INCLUDING MYSELF, THANKS FOR MY FELLOW CAST MEMBERS TO MAKE MAGIC AND CONTINUE WITH HIS DREAM, I LOVE MY JOB!!!!
I will never question anything else that Disney proposes, that was incredible!!! Can't wait to see it in person.
I did the college program this summer and saw this a few times. Every time I watched it, I couldn't help but think how sad it was gonna be when I watched it with all my friends for the last time thinking of all the memories we had made over the summer. And on our very last night, we all stood and watched this in the rain, crying our hearts out with our graduation hats on.
I saw this last week at the magic kingdom .... Absolutely Incredible ! Best vacation ever!!!
R.I.P. walt disney. the reason why life is so magical.
This is amazing can't wait to see it in person
Wow.... I haven't even seen it yet and I am crying. Only Disney could take such a simple concept, memories, and make it something so amazing. Simply incredible.
Been to Walt Disney World at least 15 times since it opened, this was, without a doubt, the most amazing show I have ever witnessed there. A must see for all! Thank you Disney for this great showcase!
Saw this like 10 time during my college programs. Cried in all of them. It is such a good and magical show. I frickinnn miss disney so much :(
We took our kids to Disney World last week. This was one of our favorite experiences by far. It is absolutely amazing in person standing right next to the castle.
I was just there on Tuesday and saw this show. Beautiful especially with the music. I also love how they do photos and video from earlier in the day.
Stellar! To me, it captures what it means to go to Disney World at any age. Whether we know the people in the pictures or not, pictures and home video are the way we relive our Disney vacations, so it's a medium to which we can all relate. The score is fantastic, and I really like how they took time to create some 'moments' instead of racing to the end (ie, the reflective piece where the girl blows out the candles - so beautiful). Going to the park tonight to catch it in person, can't wait!!
"Celebrate the Magic" is fun. But... "The Magic the Memories and You" is just simply beautiful.
Same, If I had to list in order all of the projection shows so far, It would be The Magic The Memories and You, Once Upon a Time, and Celebrate the Magic
disney has done it again they come out with this jaw dropping eyes popping shows all the time and i say who ever came up with this show mission accomplished excellent idea
I think that seeing my little princess on the castle would be the highlight of a Disney trip.
I can't wait to see this show in real life!!!!! Four months to go!
Love this - we just got back from Disney World to 12" of snow and 10 degree weather so this has helped re live some of the magic.
WOW, THE FINALE, AWESOME EFFECT THAT IN THE PROJECTION SEE THE FIREWORK AND THEN POP-UP TO THE SKY
AWESOME
ALL THE EFFECT, THE DRAW EFFECT WAS MY FAVORITE
I saw it in July. I cried.
I love when Lion King´s music is on.
OMG! That was a-m-a-z-i-n-g! No one, I mean NO ONE, can do it like disney. Love every bit of it.
The part with Walt Disney gets me every time. I love this so much.
Thanks you, thank you. "The Magic, The Memories, and You" surpassed what I might have imagined. Of course, that's what makes Disney ... Disney, isn't it?!
WOW, just amazing! How far technology has advanced to see them use it in this way its just so amazing.....Glad to see we have some creative imagineers to come up with such creative shows. Hope they keep on creating! LOL :D Good Video, thanks for sharing!
That part always brings me to tears as well
@DavidJMcCarthy Thank you too, Well, I just love to see everybody smile, when I was working in Epcot, I love the reaction of the little ones when they see the "Big golf ball" refering to Spaceship Earth, and when you tell them "Happy Birthday" or "Happy First Visit", in special I love my guest from Make a Wish Foundatio
The bit 'We're going to DisneyWorld!' get's me every time. Ohh who am I kidding?! I cried like a baby the whole way through. It really makes you believe in magic.
This show always brings me to tears and i don't know why!
That's my friend Laura Cooksey singing! I can't wait to go there and hear it live! I'm so proud!
I always cry at the Walt Disney part at the very end. I always do.
WOW! im amazed by this, especially when they made the castle look colored in
I seriously tear up every time I watch this when Walt is projected on the castle!
Just when you think Disney has stoped coming up with new ideas, this comes along. What a great way to say thanks to all the guests that have come through the park. Before it even began, I was already bawling. This is freakin' amazing! Go Disney! What will they think of next?
This show is best watched sitting on the second deck of the train station it's my favorite spot every time I go
I love it I thing it's cool how the effects change on the castle. :)
This happen last week, it was AWESOME!!!!!
I hope they still have this December 2012 when I'm there!
I think this show is just the beginning of whats to come!
This is so impressive! I was there 2 days ago, and it's truly a wonderful experience to see it there live. It was a tad different from the version shown in this video. So it's good they change it to keep it fresh.
Disney is so incredible.
Whee! I'm so happy that I got to work on this projection show!
THANK YOU for uploading this !! I havent have the opportunity to visit Disney World in a while and every thime you guys upload a video, it makes me feel like I am in the Happiest Place On Earth! Thank You once again :')
staggeringly clever. well done! i cant wait to see it for real in July!!!
I saw this in October.... it was incredible, I felt like a kid again ^^
I like the projected fireworks that trailed into the real ones. Neat.
i cried watching this at disney world! i saw it on my birthday! i cried cause i had the best day of my life there! and this was a perfect ending to my day!!!!!!!!!!! :')
If Walt was still alive he'd probably say "What took you guys so long?"
Bravo Disney! Not only is this amazingly innovative and, as always, spectacular, but it is better for the atmosphere. You guys are really starting to think green..
Beautiful, the ending with Walt made me cry the first time I saw it.
I just wish the cameraman could've stayed zoomed out, considering he seemed to miss most of the very obvious ques that the castle was going to change. If you can't recognize ques, or you haven't seen the show before, it's best to stay zoomed out. That ruined the video a bit.
Still, brilliant, and the best video I've seen of it. Thanks for posting!
wow! that's awesome. we usually don't watch the evening fireworks more than once but i'd line up to watch this! as a photographer, i LOVE the film and photo aspect of this. it makes it so personal and so much more 'disney'. wish i could get there to see it soon but i was just there in august. :(
holy crap that was freaking amazing!
I LOVE this show! My new favorite.
You have no idea how hard i was just crying! imagine how bad ill be when i see it live!!!!
@CHICABORICUAPR It's people like you that make a visit to a disney park the best experience in poeple's entire lives. Thank you. :] oh, and thanks for making me cry too!!!!
i dont care what anyone says, a place that can make people that happy cant be bad in any sense of the world =D Because its more than the rides, the presents etc...its how you feel when youre there, with the people you love
Impressive. I look forward to seeing this in June.
wow amazing graphics and effects, can't wait to see it!
Hard to believe this show has been retired :-( My husband and I went to see it on Labour Day (the last day of the show) and it was still as magical as the first time I saw it when it premiered.
"If you can dream it, you can do it." - Walt Disney
I saw this and almost cried. its so beautiful!!!
Well I hope the new show Celebrate The Magic will be just as amazing.
love how the castle sighs after its done :D
INCREDIBLE!!! FAVORITED!!!
i miss this show
@brutewolf I've watched your video so much to rev myself up for WDW trips that I recognized your clips haha
Wow!! How amazing!
Never been to Disney World but that show looks amazing!
I've been dreaming to go there I'll make it
The ending is AMAZING. I love how the projected fireworks lead into the real ones!!
I agree, nothing short of Awesome
@LlamaSims2010 Thank goodness for that, my fondest memories from Magic Kingdom as a six year old was watching the fireworks. I think that if it's an addition it's brilliant! Thanks for letting me know.
i almost cried while experiencing this at Disney...
That's us! We're the Wolf Family. They took several clips from our video, which you can see on our page. Hope to see it this summer.
I'm proud to say i'm one of the electricians that installed some of those projectors. Though the full capacity of them will be not be realized until they are combined with other shows. Which is already in the works.
2:31 what just happen to the projection it got black
its fabulous. I dig it.
My top favorite shows are World of Color, Fantasmic!, this, Wishes, etc. Everyone is different but I believe World of Color is Disney's best show yet. I just have a thing for effects, lights, fountains, and stuff like that. :D
LOLWAAHH I completely agree.... this is way better than Celebrate the Magic and I wish they released the song on CD. This show gets my heart every time
Because I LOVE seeing a few hundreds random faces appearing on the castle.
@Tymliko OMG! that is going to be AMAZINGER!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!
Maybe it's just because I am a Cast Member but seeing random faces doesn't bother me. It just shows that Disney Magic effects everyone. I definitely like it.
While watching this video I was like "I'm not gonna cry. I'm not gonna cry". And guess what? Couldn't help it. :)
Wow.. that was better then i thought it was going to be. I can't wait to see it in person this year. one question, does this replace wishes?
This was so much better than Celebrate the Magic, I miss it :(
Jacob Vanover I haven't watched this one yet. Didn't like Celebrate the Magic too much, is the new one better?
@InsideTheMagic Also all the pictures and videos are from our guests who visit the park, if you have a video look for our new Disney's campaign "LET'S THE MEMORIES BEGIN", and send yours, I'm a cast member and I agree with you, make me cry!!! I love my job!!!
i admit it! i cried when I saw this live
That was AWESOME!!! Funny- the lighting of the dream lights during the holidays chokes me up, but this had me in all out tears. And with Wishes following this- I'd surely be a sobbing (magical tears) mess. For anyone who works on the show- are the pics and vids set or will they be swapping them out from time to time? Just wondering since memories are still being accepted online.
I want to go back now :( Was in WDW for 6 days last week.
I may or may not watch this on a weekly basis... :)
wonderful!!!
Excellent!
I love the Clara Belle part when she's in the tub.
I'll be there next wek so I'm curious to see this.
I'm wondering about a couple of things though. Is there anything being also projected onto the back of the castle or do you have to be on Main Street? Also, does this mean that there are no fireworks?
Probably the most amazing part about the show was the finale. What I'm focusing on, however, is in the future. What they can do with their firework shows........
Just think about the possibilities with just their Wishes show! Not to mention all the other shows they have going on and whatever future new shows they will release!
