With everything Disney is posting right now for their 100th anniversary, I had to come back to the greatest Disney medley of all time. Still stunning after all these years 💜
0:00 Beauty and the Beast - Belle 0:43 Aladdin - One Jump Ahead (Reprise) 1:18 The Lion King - Be Prepared 2:17 The Little Mermaid - Poor Unfortunate Souls 2:36 The Little Mermaid - Part of Your World 3:14 Enchanted - True Love's Kiss 3:59 Beauty and the Beast - Be Our Guest 4:40 Hercules - I Can Go the Distance 5:33 Mulan - Reflection 5:59 Mulan - Reflection / Hercules - I Can Go the Distance 6:23 The Jungle Book - I wanna be like You 6:39 Pinocchio (And from 1940 on Walt Disney's Jingle) - When You Wish Upon A Star 8:30 The Lion King - Be Prepared (Villain) Aladdin - A Whole new World (Hero) The Lion King - Hakuna Matata (Sidekick) Snow white - I'm Wishing (Heroine)
I've just watched his other Disney medley, and I find it fun to try and come up with one storyline to fit the medleys into... Belle and Aladdin are both from the same village and longing for adventure and a better life, while secretly in love. Scar plots, and makes a deal with Belle to steal her voice (either in exchange for adventure or to be with Aladdin), but she somehow defeats Scar and gets her voice back, just in time for Aladdin to become a prince with the genie's help, and they sing the Enchanted duet as they get married. Lumiere throws them a big party, but soon after, Aladdin starts to feel as if he hasn't done anything to earn this happy ending, and dreams of being a hero, meanwhile Belle looks in the mirror and has an identity crisis. Lumiere tries to cheer them both up by singing the Jungle Book song, but this makes everyone realise that he and the other castle staff really do envy the human characters and want to be human too. Belle wishes on a star to transform them back (what happened to the genie?) and it works! Over the happy finale, Scar warns that he'll be back (setting up a sequel?), Belle makes another wish (for what exactly? More books, maybe? A baby, who will be the main character in the sequel? We'll find out!), Aladdin rejoices in this new world they've found together, and the castle staff have no worries now that they're human. ...Actually not bad considering how many stories I had to mash together.
~11 years ago I sat down in front of my laptop and watched this for the first time... I was beyond gob smacked at Nicks talent. Fast forward 11 years to today and I'm just as gob smacked as ever. So good!
My sister, who is 8 years old, tells me to say that this is hilarious. I, as a 14-year-old, think this is amazing. Your vocal range is the most spectacular thing I've ever heard.
I just can't believe he's singing the female parts :D it's just amazing and awesome :O I love it. he's singing better then most female artists today *.*
What simply astounding about this is your ability to not only sing each part, but how realistic the sound is. Your voice is the most realistic falsetto ive heard in a long while. I literally closed my eyes and in no way could i tell that this was not an alto singing those female parts. Brilliant, simply brilliant.
nick, idk if you'll ever see this, but this video fundamentally changed me 13 years ago when i was a child. to this day, i still know all the lyrics to this mashup and sing my heart out with you and am taken back to a happy place in my heart. thank you for this gift that keeps on giving and hope you're doing well!!!!!
Hahaha Some of these comments are ridiculous. He is clearly and purely talented. It is shocking and rare to see these days, but it does still exist. Unfortunately, it usually has to take a back seat to some of the other 'talent' we are forced to endure. :)
I must say that the parts where you sing "One Step Ahead", "Go The Distance", and especially "When You Wish Upon a Star" are the times I get really emotional and start to develop tears. A beautiful tribute to Disney music, as well as Walt Disney's legacy.
When the Hero sings "I can go the distance" I melted. That song has literally gotten me through some shit. One love homie. The control you have is infuriating.
Legit just found this video again after 12 years!! When it first came out my mom always played this video for me as entertainment, it almost felt like a fever dream! Thanks for being one of the earliest memories of my childhood!! Glad to see you're still doing what you love doing!
full range of both a male and female voice.Where are the Broadway people? Grab this guy NOW.He can sing any part.Beautifully.RARE to find the range and also a PERFORMER bar none! WITH a sense of humor. It would be effortless for him to keep up with a Broadway schedule.True passion for the theater.Thats what he has.BRAVO!
This truly is incredible. The talent and skill and organization it took to make this is ridiculous. I honestly can't believe this was all done by one guy!! My respect to you Nick Pitera!!! I'm beyond impressed and love your work!!! You also sound a lot like Aladdin and Hercules and it's uncanny!!
This entire thing is just amazing!! Not only is your singing so beautiful, but your editing is so unbelievable! I mean the fact that you recorded yourself in (almost) one shot AND made it in time with your other recordings is amazing
Mister86TV Sorry, but as a choral student, I must disagree. Yes, he's worked hard to get there, but you have to have some darn good talent to be able to hit all of those different octaves in the first place. Especially judging from his other videos. Don't get me wrong, you're entirely right in that it takes hard work, of course.
lol check out his IMDB page. This whole music thing is basically a hobby. For his day job, he works as a 3D modeling artist for Pixar. He's done animation for Up, Brave, Cars 2 &3, Onward, Toy Story 3 to name a few. He also sang the male part in that "Triple Dent Gum" jingle for Inside Out. He was also Riley's Imaginary boyfriend - "I would die for Riley" So yeah, this guy does a lot
I blocked the screen and had a friend listen to it, and asked them how many different people were singing. The female voice is much more impressive in the, "One Man Phantom of The Opera"
I love the parts not only just the singings but all the actings!! That guy down in the middle is hilarious.. And all the timing about the bubbles and every thing. I was simply astonished at the beginning when some one sings the others look at him.. But at the end it was away more than that! When in the middle I wasn't even listening any more. Its so much fun to watch the other "characters" while the current singer is up. Like, during the Enchanted part, the middle guy is all leaning back letting them have their moment adn the villians like, oh crap what have I gotten myself into? Haha its great!
The singing is brillant, but the best part of this video is the characterization of each role - consistent through the whole runtime. Especially villain Nick is hillarious, rolling his eyes, getting a headache and exasperated at the whining... I love it every time I watch.
Wonderful. I loved your Scar impression, it was... deliciously sinister. I also must commend you for your Aladdin, Hercules, and Lumiere. Your talent is so obvious, no wonder your videos spread like wildfire!
