That said the only real difference is in the fried offerings and the "butter" (If you tanked up at Markeys and then ran across the road to Browns the same day I'm sure the first batch would seem to taste better) We've only been to Brown's, like it, and others we have spoken to while waiting for our food have also commented on the housekeeping differences between the two you mention so we stick with what we know- Brown's

They do come from the same place....BUT, Markeys cooks theirs in salt water. You can taste the difference.
