You can put squash in microwave 4 min . This softens so u can cut it. This doesn't effect the inside. Just a simple hint.

  • @Jomama02
    @Jomama02 Рік тому +4

A little hint for you. Soften your squash in the micro or toaster oven or regular oven. Makes it easier to slice. I slice mine the opposite way, not long ways. Round circles about 2" thick and roast. It gets much better spaghetti type strings than long ways. That's why I soften mine before slicing. I've cut myself to many times not softening it first!
Love all the meals you fix and that you keep your kids pantry stocked as well. You'd be a great home economics teacher! If only I'd had a teacher as good as you. I've learned so much and I'm 63!

Try curing your squash in half like a bowl,it makes the string longer, like spaghetti. And you could make pizza kits for freezer, put dough, sauce, cheese and stuff in bags &put in one container.. that would be great.

Hi Renea and Mr. Wayna! You made some delicious dishes. Don’t you love spaghetti squash.
Mr. John Wayna is so sweet to go to the store for you.
We use to kill hogs and I would make homemade sausage, it’s the best when you make your own spice blend. I also made the cures for the hams and hung them in the smokehouse to smoke. Used to do that the day after Thanksgiving, but the weather hasn’t really been cold enough and we had to wait closer to Christmas.
Thanks for sharing and have a blessed day!

Last time I just ordered 2 boxes shipped to home. Free delivery🎉
But right now, I think you put me in the mood for tea….
PS. I keep a plastic or rubber mallet in my kitchen exclusively to use on my cleaver or knife for cutting hard-shell items such as squash. A few taps on the back of the knife gets it started, and the mallets are washable.

    Great video.
Let me tell you something if I may. I learned to make a pie crust when my ex mother in law finally gave me her pie crust recipe made with crisco and I could not figure out why the crust tasted bland and not good. Seriously I thought I’d messed up. Years & years later ( I was in my 20’s way back when). I finally found out it wasn’t me. Crisco is just bad period and taste nasty to begin with. Then I discovered on UA-cam using real butter. Let me tell you it’s a night and day difference. All butter pie crust taste good period. But in my 20’s I did not no much and since my ex mother in law was a good cook I just thought she new what she was doing. Tho my mother in law never helped me much. She wasn’t about to help me learn to cook and my mom was average not bad not good at cooking .
But, determined as I was I finely got the hang of cooking and worked in 2 military day cares and one was in the kitchen where I learned about cooking from scratch.
Then along came UA-cam and I am thankful for UA-cam because I’ve learned so much.
    Thank you for the videos.
    We’ll you live and learn.

Hi friend, can I ask how much you sold your cinnamon rolls for at your stand?
I’m thinking about buying your cookbook at starting up a little side hustle.

I would make 5 per pan and sell them with a container of homemade frosting for 4.50 They do sell like crazy.

Renee you could sell those cinnamon rolls for more. Factory boxed cakes here on Long Island cost way more than that. Prices have gone up on everything.
