Renea, you’re just perfect! I lost both my parents, my dad 20 years ago and my mom, 10 years ago. I’ll be 50 this year. I’ll still never get over the fact they are gone. Keep doing what you’re doing, we all love you ❤
I lost my beautiful daughter, then moved across country to take care of my dad who had cancer. less than 2 years later I lost him too. Just a couple of years after that we found out my husband was terminal. last year I lost my mom who was 96. I was always thin but in the middle of all that loss my weight almost doubled. Loosing the people we love is the hardest thing we will ever have to deal with. Anyone who judges you based on your weight is shallow and empty. You are a beautiful loving woman who cares for her family. If loosing weight is important you do it but please don't allow stupid people to make you feel like less than you are. I lost my father due to a heart attack in 1985. Then 3 years later my mom died from cancer. I’m 62 now and still miss them gratefully. Thank you for sharing.

It is not easy to lose your mom. Mine died when I was 16. It took many years to recover. People say stupid things. It hurts…can’t fix stupid. You’re one of the loveliest women I’ve ever seen. I’m so glad I found you .

It doesn’t matter how many times you start, what matters is that you start. And who is this person who gets to judge you? Does she or he know you? Have they walked a mile in your shoes? Are they God? I don’t think so! I’m so very proud of you. We all have things going on in our lives. We all struggle and it’s going to feel much more rewarding to build someone up than to tear someone down. That’s what you do every time you talk to us. I’ve never heard you say a discouraging word to us. I always love your positive vocabulary about how your food looks. That’s the reason I watch you so much.
I can so understand the loss of a parent , my Dad was so hard on me . I took leave to care for him, ripped thru savings to do it and have no regrets. He was my mentor , best friend and his loss was the worst I have ever had to handle . My heart goes out to you . The person you are speaks to how your parents were and they did a wonderful job m you are such a wonderful person . Thank you to them for you and thank you to you for all you teach . There always people that have to say mean things. Don't pay any attention to them, you are the sweetest person. You have a beautiful family and the cutest grandchildren and so respectful. I am sorry you lost your parents. My dad was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2003 he passed exactly 6 weeks after being diagnosed it took me 4 years and therapy to help me with the pain of losing him I was 52 years old so you are right no matter how old you are it is harder I out my mom in 2003 it is still hard, but I am ok. I lost my whole family my husband mother father and brothers , I’m all that’s left 😢Thank God I have 4 children and 6 grandchildren . Yes no matter how you are if you lose your family it’s hard and I was up to 200 lbs and I was always skinny they used to call me toothpick . But I’m slowly losing the weight . God Bless you !

You are such a good mommy and grandma. People can be so mean😢 I took care of my parents for 9 years. They had cancer as well. It does change your whole world. I had to stop working because I was their caregiver around the clock. I have gained 90 pounds because I was always putting something in my mouth. I took care of them for a long time and like you said you are never ready for a loved one to leave us. It is so hard to get back on my feet emotionally and financially. Love watching you🥰🙏

Aw, thank you for what you shared about your parents. I lost my dad in 2012 and then my mom two years later and they were a huge part of my life. We have a lot in common, Renea. Im 60 and a few years ago had lost 60 lbs and was doing great but then my only daughter was in crisis (drugs) and I got sick from the stress and gained all my weight back. The struggle is real and life is sometimes so hard. I’m trying to do better, as you are. ❤️

I cannot believe someone would be so bold to tell you to not put food on your table in your kitchen. Of course your table is food grade safe and its your food and your table and your kitchen. Oh, my gosh, some people are so rude. I lost my mom in 1990 and my dad in 2004 and it seems like yesterday. You are right, you are never ready. I, too, gained a lot of weight and wound up having surgery which was a blessing. Its good we can share things like this with each other, it really helps! I love your new stove. That made me so upset when you told us how someone said you shouldn't eat, that you are chubby. I felt so hurt for you. You have the biggest heart and you share your life with us and for someone to just open their filthy hurtful mouth. Shame on them
I am 63 and 5 ft 5 inches and rounder in places I wasn't when younger but I am like you, keep doing things you love. We slow down in winter and speed up in summer.
I have such respect for you. I am in aww of you and I have learned SO MANY recipes from you. I wish I was your neighbor. I would love to putz around in your garden with you, buy from your market stand, sit and chat.

Bless your heart, I am with you,I'm 48, in 2021 I went through 3knee surgeries, &in Sept of that year my husband found out he had a tumor on his spine &it was cancer. He's doing good, it's in remission. Last summer we found out my youngest daughter has scoliosis &had to have surgery,which was her whole spine. Needless to say I've been having a year 🙄😓 last week we found out my mom is sick..
I'm short also,5"4 &I'm a Chunky monkey.. it's all good, life goes on.. I think all this has made me realize I have to be around for my family more. I hope you are headed back to the road of health (healthier). Guess what I am cooking tonight, ranch pork chops.. in crockpot rt now.
Yes, I so agree we need to get back on the healthy path. I have started and of course we want results overnight. Lol. But we will get there. I plan to make some healthy recipes in amungst my comfort meals so everyone has what they like. Thank you my friend.

Oh Ms Renée I'm a very emotional eater. And I wanted to grow 3 feet taller to make up for all the "crisis " eating I've done. I too have been told I could miss meals...I always tell them I like to eat and it makes me happy...you do you and I will do me and smile.

I lost my Mom to cancer too! Know that I feel your pain. You never get over the loss, but I did move on after my sis andI sold her home. It has.been 27 years and I still think of Mom almost every day. I have lost 67 pound in three years but it was due to an illness and I am now much better and the weight loss was a good thing but the way I lost it wasn’t pleasant. you are a very beautiful and personable and I love your choice of clothes. It will happen for you too, just don’t do it my way lol! Love your channel and your bright and cheery personality! Being an orphan is a stark earth shaking event, no matter what your age is! Pleas don’t beat yourself up!
I just Lost my father very unexpectedly in Jan of this year, trust me I know how ya feel, somedays I just look at his picture and cry. As far as your weight goes.... YOU are a beautiful on the inside and out!

Nice recipes Renea. When I went to school they never had pizzas. I never even heard of pizzas till I was in my 30's. I am shorter than you Renea. So difficult anymore to reach upper cabinets. Tjumbs up.

When I make baking mistakes in the kitchen, I feed the birds, and consider it one less portion of bird seed I have to dig out of the bag 😅 The birds and chipmunks in my yard are very well fed lately because I’m trying like the dickens to make a decent bread 😮 😅 Thank you for sharing your feelings today. I want to thank you for sharing a part of your story by telling us about your parents. I lost my parents 19 months apart. You’re right, you are never prepared. Even when you are told that’s what’s going to happen in a few months/weeks/days, you aren’t prepared. Nothing prepares you for losing the people who have been a constant in your life.
Also, I HATE cancer. Just saying!

Renea I love watching your videos I’m sorry that you have had such a rough year I can so relate to what you have been through. I took care of both my parents who both had cancer and died within a year of each other and I was 43 yrs old at the time and it was so hard when my mom got sick she lived 2700 miles away from me the job I had moved out of the Country so I lost mom lost my job and with a year lost my dad had to go bankrupt lost my house and car all with 5 yrs it was the worst time of my life but God got me and my husband through it and I came out stronger in the long run but there was nothing easy about any of it any way I’m retired now and I watch your cooking videos I can so relate to you also with the weight issues also we must be kindred spirits keep making your videos it helps me get ideas for what I can make ❤ Thank You!

I’m a little overweight myself. Most of that because of the medication I take for fibromyalgia I am only 20 pounds over but still a little overweight.
Like I said, Renee, you look just fine. Don’t let people ruin your day. I love your new stove oven. A gas stove is much better than electric in my opinion . Used to have a gas stove but now we have an electric 27 inch stove and I can’t wait to get a gas stove again. Blessings to you.

I am currently grieving the loss of my Dad less than a year ago. He was terribly sick for many years and we knew it was coming...but you cannot prepare for that. It is different than a sudden loss because there is no element of suprise to them dying only the surprise at how it rocks your entire world to the foundation. I am sorry for your losses. We seem to have a lot in common. I wont list it all here...but just wanted you to know there's a lot of us out here and you bring me joy which is something I have struggled to find especially since Dad left us. Take care my friend
