The stacked rocks are just a fun thing that people do everywhere they go. Just for harmony and to see how high they can get it. That sticker on the donkey was hilarious!
I left my heart in Arizona. Oatman is awesome. Love the people of Arizona! Just livin life! So glad your getting to see so many unique places and things Jacob ♡
Always enjoyed Adam's videos more with you in it, so it's a very pleasant surprise to see that you have your own channel here! Consider me a new subscriber dude.
The McDonalds in Barstow started as a walk-up counter and you ate at picnic tables outside. That graffiti bridge in Needles has been there since I was a kid in the 60's. The only way across the river was a single lane wooden bridge. The road to Oatman was a dirt road and we used to pile the rocks every time we went. When they paved it, it was one of those roller-coaster roads that you could defy gravity if you went fast enough. The burros are descendants of the burros that the miners used. Our family found some relics at those stone houses. The road going out of Oatman was not paved until the 80's. You had to go back through Bullhead to get to Kingman and Flagstaff. Thanks for the vid. Brought back lots of memories!
Kudos on your little video intro on your route 66 trip with Adam it really is cool with the RV and all the other sceneries you put, it really shows your talent and hard work so just wanted to let you know it is appreciated and very entertaining hit the nail on the head !
Oatman is a trip, and that whole stretch of old 66 from Topcock to Williams is amazing. I've driven 66 and if I could pick just one part to drive that would be it... figures it's on the wrong end of I-40!
Awe these two donkeys are in love! LOL I was laughing so hard! I'm loving this trip already! I'm so excited! watching both you and Adam's videos of course, I really enjoy each version!
The Carpetbagger but the way you owned it and made it happen is what made the moment truly great so big time kudos for your endurance. I can't wait until the next video! Stay safe out there!
You guys sure look like you are having a good time!!!! I'll bet you're meeting up with some great people on this trip so far! Some interesting stops to say the least, lol! Love hearing the kids in the back ground having so much fun at the events!
I'm from AZ and I've been to Oatman, cool little town! They say the donkeys are descendants of the donkeys used for gold mining. Some of them were just turned loose and they continue to multiply.People love to give them snacks, they know who feeds them, lol!I love watching your videos,so interesting!
oh for a friend to go on these outtings with , you two seem to be having a blast with each other, I also like when Anna shows up :) her teenage attitude is just like my nieces, she's hilarious just being "real" guess I'll have to go on these trips vicariously through you two........keep havin fun, gives me a lift in my day.......very positive channel
I didn't think I'd like donkeys, having grown up around horses, but these look very sweet and adorable, awwwww. I don't think you're supposed to stand behind someone in a gunfight, not even a fake one, d'oh! That was a really good cover of Chris Isaac (sp?)! Her voice suited it well.
The don't want babies to get spoiled by humans feeding them, they need to learn to forge for food on their own. Thats what Justin Scarred (another travel vlogger) was told by the locals when he he visited.
Jacob when y’all get to Chicago y’all should do a vlog on H.H. Holmes and his “Murder Castle” that’s was there. Always enjoy you twos journeys together!
Such an awesome intro!! Donkeys everywhere!! Never seen anything like it! Quick bath stop too! Arizona is a very different looking place. And, it does look very dry.
I convinced my whole family to visit this place, they didn’t believe me when I said it’s awesome, so thank you Jacob for being the reason my family finally takes me seriously on road trip destinations lol
well they had no ties no family's so were perfect for the job they were fed and sheltered and got to ride horses and deliver mail ..... a fun job i'm sure most kids liked it and were lucky to have that job. back then orphanages were not very good quality ...... and had a much better life as cowboys then stuck in an orphanage.
A nice intro. I love the old NEON advertisement. Money on the wall, where is The Carpet Bagger's bill. Filming and fingers in the ears does not go at the same time.
The hiss at the rusty snake startled me... wasn't expecting that... Those donkies were adorabubbles... ❤️ Those ribs looked delicious, both here and on Woo's channel. 👍
Just bumped into this channel, this video has two of my favorite things, silly (often sad looking) roadside attractions and food. Will be watching more.
Finally went to check out Oatman. I have to say, even with covid-19 shutdowns in place there is still alot of open shops and what have you to check out. The donkeys are so friendly (and hungry) and i even got a fun close encounter with one being trapped between it and wall that he pushed his weight into me against the wall to pass me by, so that was exciting.
A stack of rocks is called a cairn. Plural = cairns. They are used as trail markers or place markers. Some people like to make them everywhere they go, just to see if they are there when they come back years later, so it's tagging in nature without the destruction. But they can be really helpful when walking in the desert or mountains in marking how to get back.
Oakman, looks like a cowboy town that you would find in an amusement park, but ,it is town sized! And has many attractions! Nice to see it has flare, style, and fun! What did you like the most in this video, Carpetbagger?
Following this trip is fun and interesting. Having Adam adds to the fun. BTW Those strips of tread off blown truck tires are called alligators by truckers.
Saw your new t-shirt with the TCB on it. You and Elvis together again. Taking Care of Business to The Carpet Bagger LOL! This is a great trip you guys are taking. And the ribs look amazing. I am glad that we can come along on this monument-able journey. (does that even make sense?) Have fun.
Love watching you and Adams daily videos. Fun to see both points of view. Cool intro too. One request...please look into the camera (at us) and not at your screen. Thanks.
I would like to be able to meet you and Adam when you come through if you can I love watching both of you guys is videos a lot and I'm a member of the Lebanon Laclede County Route 66 Society here in Lebanon Missouri
yeah...the old joke about the drunk picking up a big one and throwing it in the back of his pick-up..thought it was an alligator and was gonna tell all his buddies about rasslin it into his truck or something along those lines
In Canada staked rocks are called inukshuks. Originally done by The Inuits of Arctic North America which represent landmarks or cairn, now a days if you drive up north or even across Canadian highways where you have many rocky out crops along the highways you can see them all over the place made by travelers for fun or just a sign for where they have been or passed by. Not too sure what they mean or represent in the US. Maybe the same kind of thing.
The stacked rocks are just a fun thing that people do everywhere they go. Just for harmony and to see how high they can get it. That sticker on the donkey was hilarious!
"Of all the towns where the streets are ladened with feces, Oatman is my favorite." Excellent quote!
Love the intro!! You know it's going to be an awesome vlog when the Woo shows up with the Bagger!!
Big hugs for you both!!
I left my heart in Arizona. Oatman is awesome. Love the people of Arizona! Just livin life! So glad your getting to see so many unique places and things Jacob ♡
YOU and ADAM make the best pair for this adventure. Safe travels. You have a bunch of us following the journey.
Always enjoyed Adam's videos more with you in it, so it's a very pleasant surprise to see that you have your own channel here! Consider me a new subscriber dude.
Tyler B Right Carpetbagger is like Adam without all the Disney Crap!!!

Oatman is a trip, and that whole stretch of old 66 from Topcock to Williams is amazing. I've driven 66 and if I could pick just one part to drive that would be it... figures it's on the wrong end of I-40!

I have time management problems
The Carpetbagger but the way you owned it and made it happen is what made the moment truly great so big time kudos for your endurance. I can't wait until the next video! Stay safe out there!

Im planning my Route 66 trip with my kids now that ive watched yours!!!
I absolutely love the cartoon likenesses of you, Adam, and Large Marge! Fun!!!
Oatman has changed quite a bit from when I lived there in the 90s. Now I'm going to have to check it out again someday.
Had a good giggle when I saw the opening animation "Large Marge"
Love it!! Love both of you guys
Love your videos Jacob. Keep up the great work 👍🏼
It seems where ever Carpetbagger goes, he will find a Zoltar machine. Love it.
the 'do not feed me' stickers are put on babies who are too young to eat junk food
My dad didn’t notice until it was too late
The don't want babies to get spoiled by humans feeding them, they need to learn to forge for food on their own.
Thats what Justin Scarred (another travel vlogger) was told by the locals when he he visited.
Just donated, I hope you never stop making videos, there awesome!
Thank you so much
That was an awesome intro!
Jacob when y’all get to Chicago y’all should do a vlog on H.H. Holmes and his “Murder Castle” that’s was there. Always enjoy you twos journeys together!
I’d love too but there is nothing left
The Carpetbagger well that is true. Just a thought.
I'm really digging the two of you traveling together and watching two different perspectives of the experience. The Woo-petbagger experience!
Thank you
Such an awesome intro!! Donkeys everywhere!! Never seen anything like it! Quick bath stop too! Arizona is a very different looking place. And, it does look very dry.
I really like your opening graphics. Still like your other openings, but this new one is the best.
You're getting better and better! And funnier!
I convinced my whole family to visit this place, they didn’t believe me when I said it’s awesome, so thank you Jacob for being the reason my family finally takes me seriously on road trip destinations lol
I have been to Oatman. Pretty cool seeing it again.
You are having such a good time, I am smiling and laughing right along with you! Cool places!
Fantastic vlog Jacob..... Loved it...... WHAT WAS THAT!!!!!! ☺ Arthur Childs, Oak Harbor, WA.
That sign about Pony Express wanting Orphans is actually historically accurate.
Yikes
well they had no ties no family's so were perfect for the job they were fed and sheltered and got to ride horses and deliver mail ..... a fun job i'm sure most kids liked it and were lucky to have that job. back then orphanages were not very good quality ...... and had a much better life as cowboys then stuck in an orphanage.
Also, if the rider were killed by Indians or robbers, there was no family to mourn him.
A nice intro.
I love the old NEON advertisement.
Money on the wall, where is The Carpet Bagger's bill.

Those ribs looked delicious, both here and on Woo's channel. 👍
Great to follow yr route 66 journey. ..loving it...cheers from the u.k. ..GAV
Very cool intro. This looks like so much fun!!!
Donkeys stole the show.
Stacked rocks are called cairns. They're used on beaches to show sailors where the tide is gentle, or where it's safe to come ashore, or something
Shoot out in Oatman , AZ with a little Donkey whispering, and Zoltan is everywhere
Oh my gosh i love these route 66 vlogs.....thank you
Be sire to watch both adam and Jacob, videos. Each gives a different spin. Interesting.
Just bumped into this channel, this video has two of my favorite things, silly (often sad looking) roadside attractions and food. Will be watching more.

my day is now complete. Thanks Jacob!!
This trip and video is the best ever! Thank yoy Jacob & Adam! Y'all should have a TV show! :)
Good thing no one was behind that one donkey when he started kicking. It is kind of funny that those donkeys just wander all over the town.

The gun fight and the Donkeys were hilarious. Also the bunny was a bit creepy
Oatman is an awesome place. 😆 Another good video! 🐎
That statue of the rabbit takes Donny Darko and kicks it up a notch.
That Fear and Loathing shirt is amazing!
Thank you
@6:48 “I’d buy that for a dollar”
Mini golf carts are a great idea!!!
Lol! Was That the Donkey Lady!?
Yes
Oakman, looks like a cowboy town that you would find in an amusement park, but ,it is town sized!

That was cool version of "Wicked Game" that woman was singing.
That Octopus was Squiddly Diddlely, a lesser known Hannah Barbara character.
Had not heard of him
Love watching you and Adams daily videos. Fun to see both points of view. Cool intro too. One request...please look into the camera (at us) and not at your screen. Thanks.

Love the desert southwest
Steve McQueen raced motorcycles in the Barstow to Vegas Off Road Race in the 1970's.
I'm going to love this vlog .
Jacob, I don't know why that donkey looked like he was to proud to eat off your head, but he did anyways, they are so awesome-and so are you and Adam!
Stacked rocks are often trail markers.
Are you and Woo taking Large Marge for the trip? Havent heard/ seen any mention of L.M.
Love these new intros awesome!!!!!! Be safe out there!!!!?
The truck drivers call those tire pieces "Gators " 🐊 when they are on the highway.
I like that
The Carpetbagger That term is on the CB 📻 radio.
yeah...the old joke about the drunk picking up a big one and throwing it in the back of his pick-up..thought it was an alligator and was gonna tell all his buddies about rasslin it into his truck or something along those lines
The donkeys are fabulous
Lol! Feeding those donkey's with your head! I couldn't stop laughing. Who does that? Haha
