The model that Ashley was talking about I believe was Cheryl Tiegs (19:25). She was the model who was not in favor with Ashley's body for Sports Illustrated.
I personally preferred the looks and bodies of the 80s/90s Sports Illustrated models. However, between Tiegs and Ashley, I think Ashley looked better on the cover. But each decade had their own look.

This is amazing. Two incredible women talking about such important topics. Naomi is so fierce and deep. People think oh she’s a diva. No this woman has paved roads, paid more than her fair share of dues, supports minorities and women, and still continues onward. Ashely has done the same thing but in her own right. I love seeing women come together, especially in an industry such as modeling, and learning from each other.
Loving this channel Naomi! My daughter did modelling 15 years ago and at that time we watched the film Catwalk about a million times. It gave us a small window on to the supermodels who we adored (You, Christy and Kate being our faves). As a person now aged 59 and 6 ft tall I grew up in NZ feeling very 'different' due to my height and skinny flat chested appearance. To boost my confidence I looked to Vogue magazines to discover other tall people on the other side of the world who might be like me in some way. (tall and who seemed to enjoy dressing elegantly or a little bit extra) I am loving the nostalgia of all these chats and getting to know you better too!
I love this interview because it seems that they really gelled! Also, Naomi allowed her to express herself. They're so supportive towards each other. It was just positive energy between them!

I absolutely agree with you Naomi when you said about the importance of self esteem especially at that age 14-18 and teen to young adulthood. It needs guidance to navigate such a critical period and when it doesn't happen it can really set you off ona bad journey into adulthood.

I had the pleasure 2 see you once @ the model restaurant spot in NYC from back in the day....MEMORIES!!! When I who is a young elder SMILE see you STILL KILLIN' THE GAME it makes me soooooooooooooooooo Proudddddddddddd you have no idea. I have for sometime wanted 2 see you share your life experience & lessons with us women who want 2 learn from all the gems you have earned. I've wondered 2 myself why isn't Naomi out here sharing & just allowing us 2 see her beautiful self. Love you on Empire!!! Naomi your mother is beyond beautiful when I see her it's clear where your beauty comes from. I personally believe you should ALSO think about hosting a panel similiar 2 what Jada Pinkett is doing. I've thought of this production years ago of a weekly panel production show highlighting women who are seasoned mixed w/young ladies sharing & learning how 2 navigate through life. 2 many of our young girls today have no idea of how 2 value themselves due 2 many reasons but I do believe the music video culture did serious damage 2 the average girl of the last 20 years. Your status of professionalism prevented you from being exploited by artists but the girls that did video or strip feel that is their whole worth. I think you should get my point of what I'm trying 2 relays 2 ya!! Naomiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii I can't believe this is your 1st time as a host it is welcomed by me. I hope you actually use this as a spring board for you 2 give us more content. Again you and your lovely mother should consider doing a project that us women would benefit from the knowledge & life experience is worth gold!!! I'm your #1 New York suburban girl who has admired you for a longgggggg time. Your the best Naomi round up Beverly Johnson and a few other models across the board put together a panel and rap w/us girls!!!!!
i want see Naomi do an interview with Coca Rocha, i want to know more about the 1000 pose book, being part of jehovah witness, etc. the interview will sure be interesting to watch. i also want to see an interview with Tyra banks on talking about businesses
