Hi Jen that is a super cool case & great happy mail! I totally hear you about cleaning - my job is cleaning a local hotel and believe me there are some horror stories I could tell! Also this hotel is super expensive to stay at and let me tell you most people with lots of money have no manners, are filthy and disgusting and have 0 respect for us underling scrubbers that clean up after them 😣 I too HATE my job ❤❤

Hi Jenn, I had to unlurk to tell you about the "desk" that I have. It's actually called a 'workbench' or 'worktable' from Home Depot. I love it. It is so functional. The wood top is great!!!! It also will raise or lower to fit your needs. I have a lightbar style lamp, my camera arm, etc clamped onto the back edge leaving all my space free upfront. I got the 60" size, so I have room for extra laptop, sewing machine, a row of hooks and knitting needles along the back edge. I highly recommend it. Take care, Jess
I think I have the same one as you! Mine is a Husky brand work table from Home Depot. I use it as a standing desk for work-from-home. Literally it's just a metal frame with wheels (nice solid metal/rubber wheels, not like flimsy plastic chair wheels), a big heavy slab of wood for the desktop, and a manual crank to adjust the height. I think there is also a version of it with a drawer that attaches under the desktop. Also highly recommending it!

What a great bag!! I would put the hooks in every other slot and same thing on the facing page, but offset. That way the hooks sit side by side instead of putting pressure on each other (especially those delicate ones). That’s just me though. 😊
That's a great idea, but mine is almost full. I even have two hooks in the elastic, inverted, on some pages. The elastic is the only thing that touches the opposite side, so I feel comfortable knowing they won't bump each other. I filled all but two sections and the case zips up perfectly.
I don't carry or throw this around, it just stands up near where I'm working so I have options. I use other things to carry my hooks on vacay, etc. Hope this helps! 😊👍🧶
After spending 22 years in the cleaning industry the stories that could be told. I agree with you Jen the workers are underpaid and overworked. Housekeeping staff are under appreciated.

Great idea! They really don't bump, just the elastic touches the opposite side. I don't fill mine, either. I only use 6 sections. I don't travel with this, it just stays next to me for options. Hope this helps! 😊👍🧶

I have an L shaped desk that's just a cheapy metal frame with a glass top. We went to Lowe's or Home Depot and in the kitchen cabinet section they have Formica counter tops of various sizes to select from. Because my desk is L shaped, we bought two countertop sections with a matching 45 degree end each. We placed this countertops over the metal frame and viola a terrifically functional "new" desk for pretty affordable price! My edges are not beveled. There's lots of overhang to support my yarn winders, etc. Try it! :)
Avocados are awesome! My hubby says they look like”Martian poop”! I had to go on a keto diet for a while last fall for my diabetes. I had one every lunch with salsa! That was my meal!! Worked like a charm!!
I have several of those cases full of my markers and art pencils. I may grab one, take out the old markers to put hooks in! I can give the markers to my grandkids. I'm not buying more hooks but I have so many hooks stashed in tins which have become annoying to search through several to find the hook I need. I always make a point of thanking cleaning employees. Mr Cinnamon has a good point. Yet you may need find something you enjoy that is also free from your job completely. Hugs

I was on the Keyo diet a couple of years ago and started adding powered flavorless Collegan powered to my drinks and my dry skin went away.
I haven't been Keto for a long time, but I still use the Collegan because I like what it does for skin, just an idea!

I had an odyssey come broke in half. Come to find out, they have a wood core in the bottom half. There's a bit of resin for weight in the bottom with a wood core. Idk what else is there but wood for sure

Okeefs for the feet is an outstanding product. I used it in the salon for pedicures. I loved it. When I was in school they used Hemp brand. While an amazing product, it tore my skin apart. When Taco Bell came out with the 7 layer burrito, I loved love them. But every time I ate them, I'd break out in hives. So I ordered it without the Guac 1 time and no hives. I assumed I was allergic to avocados. But now we eat them all the time. I just put one of those bags in my save for later cart. I'm trying to get back into drinking teas at bedtime to help me sleep again.

My problem is that hook manufacturers dont clearly or permanently mark sizes on their hooks. So its frustrating, at least to me.

I love those cases! Been using them for several years. I use them for my extra hooks, drawing pencils, colored pencils, and random crochet tools. They line up on a cart really nicely and I love using these for travel as well.
Thank you!! I have been looking for a case just like that one (nice, large, strong elastic slots). I have my larger hooks in a pencil case now and it works great.....but, the zippered gusset is too narrow to accommodate layers of my rounder hooks. This is perfect! Yay!! -- I must say...I also have one of those benches from Home Depot. It will charge my cell phone, raise and lower depending on how my back is feeling, and it fits below my flat screen tv so I can cast my laptop from the bench to a bigger screen.

It's sad you have to keep reminding folks of this! This is one big reason I haven't started a channel, I figure I'd tick too many people off telling them to hold on to their drawers and give me some time! LOL I used to be such a people person, but the new generations of rude and manerless people have ruined that for me. Loved that case, would it protect the hooks enough to keep them from getting broke is my concern. I have several of mine standing in an oval tupperware container lol.

Wow! I can hear your frustration, but you seem to be making progress in useful organizing. It reminds me of a comment from the recent past where you complained about everything ends up on your desk to put away from your family. That has to stop for your sanity; there needs to be a sorting box in the kitchen or garage where things can be reclaimed…not in your work space. Good luck 👍

I'm surprised your post office will hold items that long. Mine will only hold items for 5 business days and then if you haven't come to get them, they'll return them to sender. This might be why some people are worried about you getting to your packages in time.

Great idea, but I have mine full, all but two sections/pages. It closes perfectly. The only thing that touches when it closes are the elastic bands, so I feel okay about it. This is not a case that I will schlep around, it just sits/stands next to me when I'm working so I have options. It's not a travel case, only for storage. Hope this helps! 😊👍🧶

The hook storage bag is fantastic I make my own crochet hook rolls as I don't have that many but I can fit them all in and keep them in my project box.

You rub it on your hands like lotion it gets into your skin another word that would get into your bones and all that is at and help inside your body to heal inside outside . Teaching at colleges/universities, custodial staff keeps the place running. They keep the bathrooms sanitary and labs were color coded so they would know what level of clean was needed/safe for them. I respect and praise them when we talk. That should be standard. I’m sorry it wasn’t so for you. Hope karma got/gets them.

When I worked in corporate, I made sure my staff left the office tidy w/trash in the cans only. I always said, you didn’t bring a maid here with you.
I always chatted with the cleaning person as to how they were doing and if they needed anything. The way I saw it, was that they were hard working people who worked even harder than us and got no respect or thanks.

I have a desk I got at Target 9 yrs ago? Its been 9 or 10 yrs. I survived the house fire. I paid under $100 for it. It was called a 'Writer's desk'. And it has a lip, because I'd attach my mannequin head clamp to it to work on my mannequins at home. and my clamp is clunky. I got it on some sale. Then I put desk organizers on top of it. The organizers didn't survive the house fire but that desk did. For the last 6 and half yrs its been an entry way table or tv stand in my living room till I could find a tv stand I really liked. It just got moved to my bedroom yesterday. I should be working on setting it up in there but I'm not.
Get an old Cast Iron Singer Sewing Machine Base, take the treadle off, lay the boards you want on it to make your desk size. Sand it, stain it. Dollar stores have white presentation board, about 1/4 inch thick, pull it out when you need it to film. Or a white piece of marine vinyl, nice matte finish for filming.
Hurray for you, one woman, and if you come to the volume where you need to hire help, or have health and can afford to hire the help you need to continue running the channel, then hurray to that too.

I have sensitive skin, my daughter as well.. aka I have similar issues to u... my doc received free samples of a new lotion she said to try... surprisingly it works well with my daughter and myself.. it's doc recommended free of smell and such aka the bad stuff the name of it is midline remedy phytoplex botanical nutrition for sensitive skin moisturizer nourishing cream. I'm not sure where to find it over the counter... like I said it's a sample my doctor gave me...

I know how u feel I had my own cleaning business at one point but I also worked in cleaning for others companies and stuff so yes I know how u feel I've even cleaned hotel rooms, I had to give my business up because my husband got diabetes and crhns and other medical problems so I had to quit to stay home and be his caregiver and I have been doing that for about 20 years now and it's hard we barely get by with just the SSI check he gets every month, but yep I know how u feel and what went through because I did to.

I have the exactly the same thing. Not only on my hands but on my back an ankles. It's terrible. I haven't itch all the time and redness and breaking out.
There's a lot of creams out there and stuff you cannot use. Thank you for sharing. I can't even spray in my hair. I have to spray a little on my clothes. That's it. I also have scout problems and have to use medication and a certain shampoo that is very expensive.
I am also a quilter. I used the bins to color code my fabric. That was great till I found a dead mouse 🐭 in with my fabric. Had to wash all my fabric in hot water and bleach. So be careful with the bins.
here we have a system where the mailperson leaves a card in your mailbox or p.o. box and it has a number on it, so when you take it into the post office, they look up the number on the parcel (kind of like how a library sorts books) which makes it heaps easier and quicker for the workers to find your particular item in the masses.
The bad thing about it is, that you need the card to get your parcel - so if something happens to it, your stuck!
I was a maid for a motel 3 summers. I don't think people appreciate what it takes to provide them the cleanliness they want. When I worked fast food I'd have to clean the lobby and restrooms people can be pigs. Maybe more people need to work those jobs so they can appreciate the people who do for them. My husband would tell me not to strip the beds or gather the towels when we stayed somewhere. But I know what it takes to clean a room so.
I’m waiting for technology to invent a robot to clean and cook for me so I can do my hobbies without being tired from cleaning my home and I really hate cooking 😊

The tea you had at one time, the sweet rhubarb tea by Taylor's, is SOOOOOO good!!! I'm still recovering from an emergency spine surgery a year ago, and I'm told that the on-going pain from it is here to stay. When a day rolls in where even sitting is beyond painful, I bribe myself to go get a cup of this tea. Some days, ya gotta do what ya gotta do, Boo...
