It is always pleasure to watch how the pro is working!
Hi! Wow thanks! Of course Mrs. RRG just read your comment and added "pro big mouth is what I am" 😂😂😂 Thanks for watching!
Excellent! I guess you were busy during your honeymoon making a video. Lol!! Thanks for sharing
No during the bachelor party! The honeymoon starts Monday! lol
@@RetroRepairGuy Awesome!! Enjoy!!
Nice, Thanks for the info on the large caps, I did not know that some can contain more than one cap (also that was a clever work around to get the smaller replacement to fit). Just one thing I have to say, don't use a pencil to mark things on a PCB. I've never had a problem because of it. But a guy I worked with years ago, Frank was his name was a rework tech and he told me about a board he was given to repair that was giving loads of different errors and faults that couldn't be reproduced . After a whole lot of debug he found a slight pencil mark across a couple of traces. It seems that one of the engineers was explaining how the board worked to somebody and using a pencil to point out the different bits and pieces. It's the graphite in the tip that can create problems. Anyway, wishing you the very best for Sunday and the honeymoon. Enjoy it ;)
Hi Peter! If ever you encounter a cap with multiple values, I remember there is a place in the US that can custom make them. Yes the pencil I remember in electronic school back in 91, one of my teachers was an ex military guy from a foreign military and he said they often had no money for resistors so they used the led of a pencil to create a resistance. But, just like your friend, it was on the traces side. This side was single sided but you're right, even though it was a very faint mark, who knows; in hindsight I should have used a permanent marker or even better a washable kid's marker would probably be the best. No honeymoon for now. It's kind of hard when you still have young kids and teens at home who depend on you for everything. I guess the honeymoon will also have to wait another few years! Oh well! Thanks again!
1st Congrats to you and Mrs.RRG, hope you all the best.
