Still my favorite class ( togather with Rccl Vision class ) I have nothing against the bigger ones i tried but bigger isnt always better. Thanks for the upload. / Greatings from Sweden
The Paradise was the first cruise ship I was on, and many years and Cruises later, I have been back on her three more times, my last cruise on her was January 2020, I’m looking forward to sailing on her in 2022
Can you old ass dinosaurs stop with this stupid ‘our time was better’ shit? You’re time was just as bad, if not worse than ours, but you see your past through rose colored lenses. You need to get over the fact that the world has changed and either change with it or be miserable waiting out the days until you keel over. The fact of the matter is that since the 90s serious and positive changes have been made and quality of life for many minorities has improved drastically. Your ‘better times’ were extremely unequal and problematic. Grow up.
beautiful ship! my ship where I went to so called Carnival college for waiters and busboys, we set seail from Helsinki( her shipyard Kvaerner Maasa ) on Nov. 1st and we came to New York on Nov. 15th...great times for all of us youngsters trying to learn about CARNIVAL service and policies while in dinning room...our teacher Christina Holzer was brilliant! few glasses of red wine in the evenning was her motto, then it became mine too ;-)
I was a bar waiter on the inaugural cruise of the paradise! Beautiful ship at the time. Kind of slave labour for us crew members though🤣 All the bar staff wanted to move to other ships. No smoking meant no drinking for some reason. We made nothing on that ship!
I didn't know smoking was so common on board ships back then. Very different now, as you can't smoke in your stateroom, nor on the balconies, nor in the public areas of the ship. Only on the upper decks and in very specific areas.
Too bad it didn't stay that way. I have NOTHING against smokers and although I personally don't smoke, I married a "light" smoker. Although my wife (again a light smoker herself) also agrees there should be non-smoking ships (as well as smoking ships too).
Carnival Paradise was my first ship in 2003 as bar waiter, and my last carnival ship in 2019 as associate art dealer...
If those walls could talk!

I’ve been on this cruise ship way back in 04 and had no idea they were from the 90s. Very well designed for its time
They need to bring back the no smoking cruises
Woohoo! I'm So Very Excited 🤩🥰To Riding At The Cruise Ship, 🚢
I love coming back to this one and singing "this is paradise" with Kathie Lee hahaha
Carnival Cruise in the 90s just seemed so much more classier and not the Wal-Mart cruise line it became by the late 2000s-present day.
True
I’m wondering if this is a snapshot of the general degeneration of what was our great civilized culture.

Nice 👍🏽. Thanks for posting.
"I can't stand smoke!", they said standing under the funnel of six wartzilla diesel engines burning bunker oil. 😂
It’s crazy to think this was considered a megaship back then.
Oooo yay!!

You'd probably set the sprinklers off if you tried to smoke in your room nowadays
@@CarlySmith001 sprinklers only goes off when there’s a fire. You’ll set of the smoke detectors first.
@@norcalemt02 Ok thanks 👍

Lol. Non smoking. Way to take the fun out of "funship". Looks like a bunch of boring people and I've been on a lot of cruises.
