    I came across this channel for the first time while looking for a cedar plank salmon recipe. I had never come across a glaze like the one you make in this video. I gave it a shot and it was AMAZING! Thank you for sharing this!

    I always look forward to Sunday night when I can expect to see a new video. I think you do the best job of describing the taste and being honest if you forget to do something like soak your cedar board the night prior. I plan on getting a pellet grill for my house in Florida once I live their on a more permanent basis. I'll definitely look at my saved videos of your cooks and wow my wife.

    That salmon looked great, Jeff. I've never tried orange on it; only lemon. I've never tried the planking, either. I always add just a little chunk of smoke wood for flavor. I hope Tami recovers quickly. You'll have to make her a special meal of her choice to welcome her back.

    I’m saving up for a nice pellet grill and have found myself looking for recipes for grilling on UA-cam lately. I don’t have much experience grilling so what is the cedar plank used for? Is it more of a presentation thing or does it give it a different flavor or what?

    My wife gave me a few packages of cedar planks over a year ago; still unused. Well, after seeing that salmon, they are soon to be on the Traeger!

    • @Armadillopepper
      @Armadillopepper  5 років тому

      I ended up with a dozen or so of them. I've noticed the longer you can keep cooking with them, the better the cedar comes out on the flavor. We did some chicken wings on cedar planks and the cedar flavor was quite noticeable.

    Don"t cut the fillet in half. Take the thin end and tuck it under just enough to fit the plank. That thin end will now cook at the same time as the thicker end. IMHO
